She knows her product and the way of the curl, and confidently talks to you about how to treat your hair. Her price for the cut is fair as well, unlike one place I went to. Not only do they show their knowledge, they also are rather hospitable, and will serve you tea or coffee during your stay. I only have two issues with Amici. 1) They need a clone of Julie, because it takes a bit of time to get an appointment with her. :( 2) You can't write tips on your credit card/ATM/Debit card. That makes me sad, I had to go into a nearby convinced store to get cash, and I came out smelling like fried chicken and incense sticks-- AND I JUST HAD MY HAIR WASHED, AND STYLED. That makes me extra sad. Yes, I love this place!

It has an upbeat yet quiet, relaxing vibe. You can immediately tell they use high-quality products and equipment. At other salons, I've had to wait even with an appointment if a walk-in arrived first. Here, despite the salon being busy with at least eight other clients when I arrived, I was seated for my pedicure within 5 minutes. Annie was warm, friendly, and highly professional. She took the time to ask about my feet, explained what needed to be done, and we collaborated on the best approach. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome! It is obvious that the staff at Nailed It are well-trained professionals who truly have their clients' best interests in mind. I highly recommend them!

I needed a hair cut and decided to search out a small "mom & pop" local shop to get a haircut. I'm a firm believer in "supporting local." That's exactly what I received at Shea's. She used to work at a large Westerly establishment and then took off to start her own gig. One day she called me up to tell me to come on over and become a customer. I really can't judge hair cut quality. I'm a middle aged male who wears his hair short and gets it cut every 4-5 weeks. It can't be too hard to cut my hair. But this is what I like about Uhngi...she complains about the places that charge $30 to cut men's hair. In her own way, she is implying that the client is getting ripped off, i.e., it's an easy hair cut, not too much skill required, not too much hair to cut, etc. And for these reasons, $30 is overpriced for the work performed. For $18 at Uhngi Shea's, I get a great cut...care and attention to detail, good advice about my hair. I always tip her, and why shouldn't I? With a tip, my cost is still about 30% lower than the rest of the local salons. Overall, I've been very satisfied with Uhngi since I first became a client. I don't always get my hair cut in Westerly, but when I do, I get it cut at Uhngi Shea's.

The nail services come out great every time. The way the spa is decorated is beyond relaxing. Hanging terrariums, full ocean view, and a true beachy feel inside. Highly recommend. I like my nails super short and wanted a French that looked natural. She had no problem and made them look amazing and natural! They even do manicures! Great salon here on Block Island.
