This place is the best. I have been going for years, and the owners (husband and wife) are just the nicest people. Often, their 3 young children are around as well. They always remember me, even if it's been a while. And since they know I usually go with a friend, they always ask where she is if I'm there alone. Got my first get manicure and it was fantastic! I get pedicures all the time, and they are wonderful! They do a massage which is heavenly and they stay looking good for a long time. I had to go somewhere else today because they are closed due to a death in the family. Same price, but no comparison at all! Can't wait until they return and reopen! read more

Came to this salon and was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't look like much from the outside, not the flashiest or trendiest location, and definitely could use a modern look. However, the quality of the pedicure I received was top tier. My pedicure lasted for weeks without chipping, which is unusual. Price is fantastic for what you get. Could use some improvements in cleanliness of the salon in general, but I did not feel unsafe in terms of sanitary measures. read more

Nicest family around. Affordable and quality pedi includes callous removal, leg massage, and foot rub. This service is literally double down the street and a fancy chain salon. I love this place! Everyone here always remembers who I am and I've never had a bad experience yet in the 2 years I've been coming here. Very clean, and usually very quiet. I think I've only had one time it was too busy for a walk in. The owners bend over backwards to make sure you don't wait too long. They are one of the few places that does a great full face wax. Many other places I've gone too locally don't usually do the full face, or know how to do them correctly. I would suggest this place for a good quality wax job, along with the nails. read more

I was visiting a friend in East Greenwich and wanted to get my nails done. This place had decent prices and reviews so I decided to go here. When I walked in it was a super nice salon and the people who work there were very nice. However I was not too impressed on how my nails came out. I showed the nail tech exactly what I wanted but that is not how they came out. A few of my nails are crooked and you cannot see the difference between the Matte and regular black. After going to perfect nails in north Kingstown forever I just found my new favorite nail place! Perfect nails messed my acrylics up so bad one fell off not even a week being on so I found this nail place not too far from my house. Nice staff, clean, and does amazing acrylics! Definitely would recommend! The guy filled my nails perfect and even replaced the one nail that fell off. I had gotten an acrylic fill with gel polish and it was such a reasonable price. read more

My experience was not pleasant. The environment is very loud, with the television volume up loud & the staff speaking loudly at each other, it does not provide a soothing atmosphere. Also, they reuse pedicure utensils, which is a huge turnoff. And they did not scrub the foot tubs between pedicures. Place did not feel clean. I asked for a gel pedicure, and received a regular - which smudged the same day. read more

I came here with 6 ladies for a bachelorette party and they were so great! We called a head of time to make an appointment and they had all of us done in an hour and a half. The people are so nice and kept asking if we liked everything. I got acrylics and the woman was so attentive in making sure I liked the length, shape, and color. They aren't expensive at all either! $12 for mani $25 for gel and $27 for acrylic. Loved it!!! read more

Great place. Everyone is friendly and there's a lot of laughter here. My first time here and I've noticed that there are plenty of regulars and the staff greet them by name. Kimmy did my nails and pedicure and she is fantastic. She would check in with me about the shape of my nail and encouraged me to relax (I can be pretty tense). My first and last time at Magic Nails was Tuesday, May 2. I will never return. I moved to EG recently and used Yelp to find a new nail salon and chose Magic Nails based on the great Yelp reviews. I am an overbooked working mom and rarely get my nails done, so I was looking forward to the rare indulgence. Unfortunately, by the end of it, I was aggravated and stressed and regretted ever walking into this place. I called ahead at 12:15 pm that day and said I would be there at 12:30 pm so that I would not have to wait for a simple mani/pedi (no gel, no tips). They said okay. The salon did not look busy when I entered, but the manicurist I had was not ready, so I had to wait ten minutes anyway. I soon learned why. My pedicure took nearly an HOUR. The manicure took over 35 minutes, and that was BEFORE the nail drying. All of this should have taken no more than an hour, max. The owner kept hovering and asking me of her manicurist, "Is she doing a good job?" which I found irritating and weird. The manicurist was painfully slow, but I did not want to embarrass her so I just said, "Yes." Then the owner said to me (at least twice), because she knew it was taking forever: "Next time you come, call ahead and ask for express." Are you kidding me? I did call ahead and you still wasted my time. An hour and 45 minutes for a simple mani/pedi - is that normal for your salon? This is ridiculous! No, no, and NO. By then, I knew there would be no next time. I also did not appreciate the fact that the manicurist clipped my fingernails and had my fingers SITTING IN THE CLIPPINGS as she prepped and filed and buffed until she decided to start polishing. GROSS. I know they are my nails, but please, for the love of god and all that is holy, clear them away once you clip them. I am not OCD like other people and I was still grossed out. And she worked slowly. So. Incredibly. Slowly. It was PAINFUL. And I had to recalculate my afternoon plans because of it, and I was a stressed out mess by the end of it all. (Remember, this is me relaxation time. So much for that. Pfft.) I paid with a credit card, desperate to leave, because I was literally aging as I sat in the chair. I asked the owner to break a $20 for the tip and she brought me four $5 dollar bills, which annoyed me once again. I've never experienced that before in any salon. Don't get cute - where are the singles? I'm not tipping $10 to your crappy manicurist on a time-consuming, stressful $35 mani/pedi because you want to be manipulative and clever. Fortunately, I had two singles in my purse, so I tipped $7 (or 20%) and held my wet manicure to the little electric fan offered at the nail table. There was a nail drying station in the salon, but I was not shown to it...was it not working? Why? No explanation. Had to rotate my hands at the fan and dry my nail polish for another 6-10 minutes after I had already been there forever and a day. I practically ran out of that salon. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. p.s. You'll probably have to park in the back of the building as I did on that rainy day, because parking in front is limited. The other businesses in the shopping complex post clear signs warning you not to park in front of their establishments if you are not there for them. read more

I have been going to Magic Nails for a little while now and it is where I will continue to go. I started out with no preference of who I saw, but after a couple times of my nails being not so perfect, I realized that every time I went to one particular person he did the most amazing job. I found out his name is Lucky, and I will forever go to him. I am always so so happy with how they come out. I get acrylic fills and just normal color, not gel. He fills and shapes them so perfectly and they last me an extra week than if I were to go anywhere else because he is so thorough with it. The people who work here seem to know all their clients on a first name basis and are so friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend. read more

Go here for your acrylics. She actually listened to what I wanted and the shaping was great! They really want your business in there, and appointments are honored. My pink and whites are gorgeous! Really natural looking. Also, they don't drill the heck out of your nail. Hallelujah. Note: just make sure they go over gels with nail polish remover or they'll be sticky.
