I do consistently come back to Charming Nail in Cranston but lately their service has been falling…read moreshort. I typically request an appointment online and despite doing so unless it is early in the morning the appointment always runs much longer than necessary due to how busy they are. I'm not sure if it is due to overbooking or just allowing too many walk-ins, but I have definitely had to wait over 20 minutes for an appointment I made in advanced which is unacceptable. Charming nail is one of the only salons in the area which offers dazzle dry, but the consistency of the service is all over the place. Some technicians follow the dazzle dry procedures perfectly which results in a long lasting manicure, but others don't and my nails chip less than 24 hours after being done. This is frustrating when I'm spending $30 plus tip for something that doesn't last. Especially when I'm getting nails done for a special event. Overall the vibe of the salon is good and the people are nice, but I do hope this lapse in recent service rectifies itself so that I can feel confident in going back.

I wanted the $80 pedicure which included 30 minutes of either or a combo of massage - either the legs or in a chair. I guess I happened to get the wrong girl, I could tell right away she was not happy. She really didn't know the package and wasn't thrilled about doing the chair massage for 20minutes. So a left paying $100 plus - good tip. By the end of the day-- the color wasn't as shiny as it should be or have that perfect look to it. She completely missed my putting color on my little toe. (LONG time) I got a mani (dip powder) and a regular pedi. Total was 82 dollars. I understand prices have gone up with the economy however I'm not sure that the attention to detail was there. I left there noticing my nails have lots of dents in them and the dip powder is extremely thick. I do believe some steps of the process of both mani and pedi were skipped for some reason- usually they clip the skin around the nails or file them perfectly straight... again- attention to detail was lacking. For the amount of time I spent there, I expected some great work. They have a points program but you have to earn over 400 points to get it, and each point is a dollar. Seems far fetched. Not sure if I'll return.
