She was personable and friendly but real. She listened to what I wanted gave me her professional opinion and we agreed on the final outcome and I couldn't be happier will definitely be returning and would highly rec *update* I think I jumped the gun on this review (I wrote it in the parking lot before I even left haha) while I obviously loved my first experience and the way my nails looked it was a different story about 2 days after I got my nails done. I noticed my top coat started to peel in a couple of my nails, it started looking rather cruddy to where I went in to have her fix it. She was accommodating and didn't hesitate to "fix" my nail. Her solution was to put another top coat over what was peeling and chipping off. So it still looked pretty cruddy, I didn't say anything more about it and decided I would continue my search for my go-to nail salon. The lady was nice and nails held up without breaking, it was just the top coat, but for what I paid I was hoping a top coat would hold up too.

Before starting, I asked about the price, showed the nail tech what I wanted, and agreed to the price she gave me. She began by pushing back and cutting my cuticles, but then immediately started painting my natural nails. I stopped her and explained that I wanted acrylics, as I had told her before we started. At that point, she became visibly upset, dropped what she was holding, started yelling in another language, and went over to another employee while continuing to yell and point at me. I felt extremely uncomfortable with the way the situation was handled, so I told them I was done and wanted to leave. I was then charged $15 even though all that had been done was my cuticles being pushed back and trimmed. I understand that miscommunications can happen, but the reaction was completely unnecessary and made me feel very uncomfortable. Based on how I was treated, I would not return or recommend this salon.

First and foremost, I visited because I had a gift certificate. I walked in around 3pm. It was pretty dead and I was immediately seated for a pedicure. My nail tech was super quiet, which I appreciate. There are no options here except gel or no gel. I like different options for the pedicure even down to what kind of lotion do you want? Some people are smell sensitive. Right down the road (and around the corner) is VIP Nails. I just like that they have options! (Such as Honeymoon pedicure, callus removal, etc...) She did a fine job but I can share I could do what she did at home. What I particularly like about pedicures is that they get all that dead skin off. She barely went to town. I opted to have a manicure as well since I had the gift certificate and I had enough time. Here's where things got funky... I was not offered which shape I wanted my nails to be. She chose rounded which I never go for. She did not lay out anything out for the manicure to happen over. Usually its a plush towel. She cut corners- one hand got cuticle lotion the other did not (she oddly sprayed it in the water?) While she was working on my nails a man came over asking about my phone. HE PICKED IT UP AND STARTED TOUCHING THINGS!! ON MY PHONE!!! I think he is the owner. At a certain point during my pedicure an odd noise started occurring. Like a dead animal wail- it was him singing. Nobody else was flinched, it must be a common occurrence. I did pay attention to him and he likes to have a good time. Hey- good for you. I like having a good time too but I don't appreciate you touching my phone. The towels used to dry me off were like old rags, tattered and rough. Sitting at the drying station, which are very old, the amount of funk in the fans was gross. Bottom line: If you are looking to be pampered- head to VIP. If you want the job done and cheaply, Head to Magic and leave your phone out.

There were about 9-10 chairs for pedicures and 9 tables for manis. The walls are painted a pale blue. No real theme in their decor. The chairs are cool. Service The hostess was friendly at first but quick to dismiss me. She gave me answer and she was already asking someone behind me what they needed. Umm, what if I had a follow up question? They let me soak for 15 minutes before Kelly came by. Kelly did a great job on the cuticles and the massage, but not so great with the heel. I wanted her to get all in there with that grater tool. I didn't even see her take it out. The customer next to me had the grater done. Weird. Kelly then painted one toe and asked if I was happy with the color. I was and I was glad she asked. Then she dipped a brush into a cup of alcohol to clean off any mistakes. Mani Kelly said very little to me. I'm fact I wouldn't call her friendly. The job was done well. Fast forward four weeks. No chips! I am very lucky and I was pleased with the results. This nail salon needs to work on friendlier costumer service and not be so rushed.

I take excellent care of my feet, but even with regular buffing and those foot peels I was surprised to see the huge difference it made. I just love the Galaxy mail polish I got.

I know that is not everybody's style, but it is mine. I asked for a simple white and white French tip. The French tips are crooked. The sides of my nails were not filled in, and when I asked for them to be filled in The Nail tech said quotations I don't do that because I file down the sides after and when there's too much polish on the sides, it looks chunky." I then shook my head and said OK knowing that as the customer I want what I want I am definitely not a Karen but when I am paying for service, I would like to be heard and feel like I am getting what I pay for. Onto the attitude, my nail tech was on the phone arguing with her boyfriend at the beginning of the service which again I was respectful, kept my mouth shut, but hoped that it didn't interfere with the service moving forward. It almost felt like she didn't want to do my nails and she just wanted to leave, which is not something a customer ever wants to feel after my service was done. She took her apron off, grabbed her purse and was running out the door, which again made me feel a little uncomfortable as a customer you never want your customers to feel that they're an inconvenience. Walking in the place was beautiful. It seemed very clean. The music was very nice. When I called for the appointment, the man that answered was very polite and super sweet. I will give this 2 stars as I will chalk this up as somebody not having the best day. But even on a bad day, first impressions are everything.
