Had a very good deep tissue massage with cupping and hot stones at Bliss…read more I found them on Groupon but called directly to see if they would honor Groupon's price, which they did. I was able to make a next-day appointment. The employee who answered the phone and made the appointment was very nice and accommodating. Within minutes of me booking my appointment over the phone, she texted me a confirmation and the location details, which was extremely helpful. There was even a picture. I arrive the next day for my massage. Well, the outside is a bit unsuspecting, the inside is quaint and comfortable. The set up is very similar to the types of massage and reflexology spas that she would find in places like Chinatown or K-Town (pick a city). There are small rooms with curtain doorways down the hall. Each room has a bed, a couple shelves, and just enough space for the masseuse to navigate around. My masseuse, whose name I unfortunately, did not catch, started with my back. After giving me a nice massage, which was about a half step lighter than I would have liked in terms of pressure, she applied the cups. After the cups were on, she began massaging other parts of my body. The hot stones were only used on my back and neck while I was faced down. I did ask for deeper pressure at various points. The pressure was pretty good, but it wasn't as deep as I would've liked. The deepest pressure I felt was in my shoulder blades, and that was actually very nice. But for my legs, I definitely should've asked for even more pressure. I didn't want to go too hard because after asking twice, I wasn't sure if she could even go any harder. Lol. The spa is clean. And they are very transparent with pricing. They are also very accommodating and will do things like get you water before and after. When I made the appointment, I was also asked if I had a gender, preference, which I appreciate. Next time, I may opt for a man. They tend to be a little bit rougher, which is what I need sometimes. All in all, though, this was a pretty good massage. The spa was clean, and everyone was very nice.

William's hands were magical, and they washed away the daily stress that's been accumulating since my last massage. I fell asleep multiple times during the session, and I now feel rejuvenated. It was a stress-free experience, and I can't wait to come back.

I would strongly recommend that no one go to Massage spring in Rockville…read more You go to a massage parlor to relieve stress, ease pain, and relax -- but this experience was terrible from the very beginning. First, the pricing is completely misleading. Their website clearly lists a couples massage for $90 (and I have a screenshot to prove it). However, when it came time to pay, they charged $130 instead. That's a huge difference, and it feels dishonest and deceptive. Second, they aggressively pressured us to tip. Tipping should be based on service and left to the customer's discretion -- it should never feel forced or bullied. To make matters worse, they placed us in a room that I'm almost certain doubles as a break room. It did not feel professional, clean, or prepared for paying customers. The most unacceptable part of the entire experience was when the female masseuse slapped my butt and laughed. That is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I did not come here to be touched in that manner. A massage should feel safe and respectful -- this did not. Overall, this was uncomfortable, misleading, and unprofessional from start to finish. I'm writing this as a warning to others. Save your money and go somewhere that values professionalism and respects its customers. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

I've been to Q Spa Ocean about four times over the past four years, and my previous experiences…read moreranged from good to great. Unfortunately, today's 90-minute massage was so bad that I don't expect to return. The massage itself was mediocre at best. The technique was mostly broad, repetitive rubbing along my back, generally away from the spine, with forearm work that lacked much targeted focus or consistent pressure. That alone would have been disappointing, but there were several other issues. The masseuse was also unusually careless about modesty. At one point she left the room without saying anything while I was still undraped, leaving my entire lower half exposed. At one point during the massage I wasn't draped at all for a couple of minutes. Toward the end of the massage, the masseuse asked, "You want touch here?" while pointing directly at my groin. I immediately declined. After I declined, her demeanor and approach changed noticeably. She became rushed, quickly retrieved a warm washcloth, wiped me down, spent perhaps another five minutes lightly rubbing my legs, and ended the massage. I use a stopwatch during massages, and from the time I disrobed until I began getting dressed afterward was only 83 minutes and 40 seconds. Even allowing for some time waiting for the masseuse to enter the room, it was less than the 90 minutes I paid for. Given the mediocre massage and shortened session, I left a $15 tip, which I felt was reasonable under the circumstances. Given the mediocre massage and shortened session, I left a $15 tip, which I felt was reasonable under the circumstances. The masseuse immediately counted it and said, "I want more tip." She continued with comments such as "I need more" and "90-minute massage needs bigger tip." The receptionist then joined in and told me the tip was "too low." At no point did anyone ask whether I was satisfied with the massage or invite feedback about the service. Being pressured for a larger tip after an already disappointing and shortened service was extremely unprofessional and effectively eliminated whatever relaxation remained from the experience. It's particularly disappointing because I had previously had several good experiences here. Based on this visit, however, I won't be returning.

After paying her $40, I gave her a $20 tip (or 50%) which is generous of me! She tried demanding more! She asked for $40 tip on a $40 total (or 100% tip!). She wanted $80 for a 22 minute massage!
