The place is clean and has a light, bright decor. Our service was very good. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food came out super fast. Too fast because some of my food was undercooked. I had the All American. The eggs were undercooked. I ordered them over medium but the white was runny and way undercooked. The breakfast potatoes are cut and tasted like undercooked au Gratin potatoes. The toast was good but very dry and could have used more butter. The bacon was cooked nicely and very flavorful. My dining partner said the biscuits and gravy were delicious. The biscuit was cooked perfectly and not dry. His potatoes were also undercooked. The drinks were very weak and lacked some flavor. Service alone would have been 5 stars but the food and cocktails were lacking. read more

I really wanted to try this place because of the good reviews. The restaurant was fairly busy on a Saturday morning but it was easy to get a table, I love the wait-list option. Our server was very nice. However, we were disappointed with the food. We got the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and a breakfast burrito, both were bland, without much flavor. The blueberry granola pancakes were light and fluffy but was lacking in blueberry flavor, also the butter was salty and made the pancake salty. Not sure why they can't add some flavor to the food. Our server also did not let us know there was an upcharge for the chicken sausage. Overall a disappointment. We'll go back to our usual breakfast joints. read more

To start we were running late, but to our surprise we were seated right away even though the parking lot was full. We always had good service here but on 01/18/2026 our waitress (Reyes) went above and beyond to make our breakfast very enjoyable. Aesthetically the place is very cozy. The service was fantastic. Started off with a white chocolate iced latte (can't start the day without coffee!) it was good but standard for a coffee drink. I ordered the strawberry Nutella waffles. They were VERY generous with the Nutella, it was pretty delicious. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros. Unfortunately his meal wasn't as good, it was pretty boring and bland. Salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce could only help so much. Everything was pretty expensive as well. We may return in the future but I think there are some better breakfast places out there. But if you're looking for a cute kind of upscale breakfast/lunch spot, this is the perfect place! read more

Sunshine Breakfast is a lovely place for breakfast or lunch. It is clean and bright, very homey and cheerfully decorated! The servers are very attentive and helpful. The food is good, unlike many places where you get an unnecessary amount of food, the helpings are smaller. The prices are a little higher than I expected, not crazy but two breakfasts for $40 was a bit higher than we expected. read more

We had breakfast here on a recent visit to Scottsdale. They were crowded and it was pretty loud, but service was friend efficient- coffee topped off often. I had the Banana Pecan Caramel Pancakes - 2 banana pecan pancakes topped with chopped pecans and bananas in caramel sauce, drizzled with vanilla and caramel sauce. (syrup upon request) .... Very popular place, but I was fortunate to be seated immediately on a Thursday morning around 10:40. I asked if their chicken fried steak (CFS) was scratch made. They said it was so that's what I ordered; over easy eggs, sourdough toast 'heavily buttered', and a plain Bloody Mary. The CFS was just okay. Very thin to include the breading. I prefer it to be like fried chicken with a krispy well seasoned breading fried to a golden perfection. This was far from that. Gravy was fine. Together they needed salt, pepper, and hot sauce to give it flavor. The potatoes were cold, only grilled on one side. Texture was chewy where grill toasted on the one side and mushy for all the uncooked potatoes. They too needed salt and pepper to give them any flavor. Although I asked for the bread to be generously buttered, it wasn't. Just a light amount about the size of a quarter in the middle with the other 90% being dry bread. The eggs were cooked as requested and the Bloody Mary was fine. My waitress took my check and cash while I was still seated. Overall, not a good effort on their part. Their other offerings might be better. I just saw their Business Manager's response of 'if you got a bad meal, it's your fault for not telling us.' I will not be returning. read more
