I go to Sunset point often and always have a great meal. My favorite thing to order is the grilled grouper sandwich. Always good service and the people there are very nice. The location is awesome looking out at the boats.

We arrived around 3 pm and they were still quite busy. We were able to sit outside on a the waterfront with the majority of the guests. We were immediately greeted by our server Thomas and he did not disappoint. My friend had the grouper burger and he said it was blackened and seasoned real well and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. He and I both found the Cole slaw okay. It was a marinade with peppers and onions. I would eat it again but if something else was offered I think I would choose it. The sweet potato chips were cold when they arrived on my plate but we both agree that we think that served hot they would be good. My fish were served hot and fried to perfection! I will definitely order them again!! We had the chocolate strawberry cake for dessert and it was okay not one I would order again. The four stars is because the chips were cold. We will return to try other items on the menu.

Lunch on Saturday - ate on the deck. View of marina is great and service from James was top notch. Started with some of the seasonal cocktails. The Apple of my Eye was very good if you like bourbon. The Midnight Reserve is made with rum and was a bit too minty. For lunch I had the seafood lettuce wraps. The proteins were all cooked well but combined with the veggies and condiments, it missed the mark being mediocre at best. Hubby had the fish wrap (fried) and it was very good. Fries were okay but not great. Over all, this place tries to be an upscale "yacht club" vibe but need to work on some basics in taste.

sat at the bar for dinner and not only received a great meal and drinks but were treated to a first class bar demonstration. travis was mixing drinks and it was truly a show to watch. not only was he so knowledgeable but the drinks were amazing! dinner choices were the fried grouper sandwich and blackened snapper throats. both were fantastic but the snapper throats were fantastic. i had never seen those on a menu before. i'm gonna try those fried next time! this is a casual atmosphere with a great patio, just a little too chilly for me.

If you're in Fairhope you must visit this coastal eatery. Great sunset views of Mobile Bay with amazing seafood. Super friendly and fun service makes it more the better. You won't be disappointed making the drive out here. It's just one of those places you won't forget.

Amazing dinner with friends tonight at Sunset Pointe! Delicious food and great wait service by James. Our group shared tuna nachos before we ordered our entrees. Great night dining by the water!!

Stopped in for a couple drinks. Really enjoyed speaking with Tucker the bartender. He was extremely knowledgeable on drinks and cocktails. Good recommendations. AC works wonderfully! They have indoor and outdoor patio seating on the water.

Beautiful view, gracious staff and the best red snapper collars! With a beurre blanc sauce and a crusty coating, served with grilled coleslaw slaw and fresh vegetables. A crafty cocktail menu and wine list. Worth a stop!

Loved this cute little restaurant! We sat outside in 90 degree weather and the fan misters made it feel 70 degrees. Our food was great. Service was great. My boys wanted pina coladas. They concocted a drink for them that they loved. We walked around the marina for a bit. We enjoyed looking at all the beautiful boats. We hope to be back!

How delightful to sit outside, sip wine, eat good food at Sunset Pointe in Fairhope. The bar menu is EXTENSIVE! But this isn't just a place to drink while you watch the sun set. The food menu offers variety, and when I visit a restaurant, I always look to see if they have good choices for the Kiddos, and here they do. Inside is nice, but the patio gives you the opportunity to feel the breeze and see the marina and bay. And the service outside is the same as indoors. My favorite two items on the menu are snapper throats (when in season) and the ahi tuna; but, there are also salads, burgers, great sandwiches, and good starters and sides. This will be one of your go to places in Fairhope.

We've tried this restaurant twice. It was good but not great. A bit overpriced for the fare - but the view was very nice.

It was a nice day so we sat outside in a cool little ally. We started with bruschetta which was great. Not what we think of but delicious. For entrees I went with the meatball sub wife went with the arugula pecan salad with ahi, son got Cesar with ahi and daughter got the flatbread which was a caprese. Everyone loved their entrees. The only negative was the meatballs were a little dry. Would definitely go back though.

It honestly feels a little like you stumbled into a hidden spot on vacation. The food was solid across the board. You can tell they actually care about what they're serving, everything tasted fresh, not heavy or overdone. The menu has a great mix, from burgers to pasta and seafood, so it's easy to find something no matter what you're in the mood for. The shrimp and grits and the pasta dishes are delicious , and even the appetizers were on point. Service was just as good, friendly, attentive, but not hovering. You don't feel rushed, which is rare these days. What really makes this place though is the vibe. Whether you sit inside or out, it's got that relaxed, slightly upscale but still comfortable feel. If you're in Fairhope and want somewhere that feels local (not touristy), this is it. Easy 5 stars. Will definitely go back!!

It was my wife's birthday, and thus she had the privilege to choose where we would go for brunch…read more I had previously decided that I would not dine at this restaurant again, not because I had some gripe about the food, which was excellent, but because their table arrangement in the main dinning area made it difficult for wheelchair bound customers, such as myself, to navigate. This was not a hard and solid decision on my part. Instead I had decided that if I had my druthers, I would not eat there. Of course when it is my babécita's birthday my druthers were of no consideration and I found myself again at Tamara's for a Saturday brunch. We arrived to find the main dinning area to be full, and since we didn't feel like eating in the open to the outside area, we learned that we had an estimated 20-30 minutes wait for a table. Their was six to eight customers waiting around the hostess's stand inside, with another six waiting outside under a covered area. We decided to wait outside, but after about 15 minutes a rain shower began. The kind people waiting on the benches and standing under the awning encouraged us to move in further from the edge where they we were getting wet. A couple standing moved into the restaurant to make even more room for us. The hostess, seeing that it was raining outside when this couple opened the door, came to the door and invited us all in, announcing that she would make room for us all. Which she promptly did. My wife had informed the hostess of my needs, and had requested a corner table for ease of access, but once inside the restaurant, I noticed that the table arrangement seemed less crowded, which helped to ease my concerns about getting to a table. As it happened, right at the 20 minute mark, we were informed that our table was ready, and we were led to a table, not on a corner, but to a table at the end of a row of tables, and against a partition. I found this arrangement even better than our requested corner table, as it meant that I had no foot traffic behind me that I might inadvertently bump into, or bump into me. I was grateful for the evidently experienced hostess working out such a fine alternative to our request, and doing it in such a timely manner. Now I get to the food, and wait staff service. All I can say is that Tamara's management has both pegged to the highest degree. Our waiter appeared immediately, took our orders since we had perused the menu while we were waiting to be seated. As for our food, my birthday girl had the Spinach Eggs Benedict, and I had the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Both were excellent. Neither of us had a single complaint, and my wife, who is fascinated with Tamara's long list of various types of Eggs Benedicts, promised that we will be back for many more visits to try each one. I am grateful that I was forced to forego my pledge not to patronize this establishment again, as it provided an opportunity to learn how the good people at Tamara's made adjustments that allowed my experience to be enjoyed more fully. I am also grateful in that we can continue to enjoy their excellent food.

First off, the ambiance is very nice--comfortable, welcoming, and a great setting for a casual evening out. The service was also very good. Our server was attentive and friendly, which definitely made a positive impression. As for the food: * Raw oysters ($22): Fresh, plump, and overall very good quality. That said, it almost felt like each oyster had a bit of added salt, which threw me off a little. Not bad, just slightly off from what I'd expect. * Sushi-grade ahi tuna appetizer ($14): This was one of the highlights--very good flavor and nicely prepared. * Gumbo (large - $12): Probably the biggest disappointment. I'd rate it about a 5/10. It wasn't terrible, but it lacked depth and richness compared to what you'd expect in this region. * Happy hour mimosa ($3) and margarita ($6): Solid for the price--no complaints there. Total came out to about $62 cash ($64.30 with card fee), which feels reasonable for what we ordered. Overall, this is a place I'd come back to if I were already in the area and someone suggested it, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. If I did return, it would likely be for the oysters or the ahi tuna. Good experience, just not quite memorable enough to push it past three stars.

From there, the blackened grouper--the catch of the day--was the star of the evening: perfectly cooked with a satisfying char and depth of flavor, though unevenly seasoned. It was accompanied by creamy cheese grits that leaned a bit mild and fried okra that, while slightly soft, could have used a touch more seasoning as well. A side of hush puppies was promised but never made it to the table--though admittedly, I rarely indulge unless they're something truly special. The atmosphere was relaxed and almost serene, with only a couple of other tables occupied during my visit, though carry-out orders seemed steady. I chose to sit on the patio, where the weather was ideal and the newly installed fly-deterrent fans did an admirable job keeping the table clear--if not entirely keeping the flies from me instead. Still, the food remained untouched by them, which I consider a success. Service was warm and attentive throughout, rounding out a pleasant evening. While a few dishes could have been elevated with bolder seasoning, the overall experience was delightful, and I left satisfied.
