The atmosphere is so fun from the second you walk in. It's super beachy and great for photos! Bar and outdoor seating right on the water where you can watch boats dock. Super fun when they have live music and a band performing! Foodwise everything tasted incredibly fresh and was absolutely excellent. Although it was packed food came out quick.

Excellent food. All the seafood dishes, which I've had many over the years, are delicious. The Halibut Royale and Butter poached shrimp are two of my favorites.

We loved our visits to this restaurant this summer. Came for a bday dinner and on 4th of July. Both times we made reservations for a table on the dock facing the marina. The view is absolutely beautiful and the palm trees & decor is great for pics. The food was delicious. Everything we ordered with crab had huge portions of clean lump crab meat. The shrimp and crab tortellini dinner was everyone's fav so far. The drink menu is great and my husband loved the Pain Kill cocktail. The spicy margarita was a little sweet for me but still delicious. The staff is great and friendly. The pricing is average for this area and the portion sizes are very good, especially for seafood. We'll definitely come again.

It's been several years since I have updated my review of here so what better time on my 10th trip to do such a thing. Anyway - party of 8 for this trip, we had Gregory L. as our waiter. He seemed like a pretty straight shooter and quite attentive to the details: from breaking down the menu, tips, tricks and recommendations- as well as explaining his moves with placing orders and drinks. Started with an aged barrel bourbon Manhattan, and the table got several appetizers: burrata with focaccia, cream of crab soup. The burrata was kind of a mess: I've seen this become a trend at restaurants where burrata is just a pile of weirdly sliced tomatoes and a burrata in the middle. I would much rather have a smaller sample of tomatoes that way there's no waste but this was good. Would have also liked more balsamic on top of everything. The cream of crab soup was REALLY good. A little more liquid than a thicker style - but the flavors were insanely well-layered. Very good. For my entree I got the peppercorn wagyu steak with horseradish sauce and chimichuri. I added a crab cake as well and fresh vegetable medley. Everything was very fresh - BUT! THE STEAK WAS BADLY RARE WHEN I ORDERED MEDIUM! On a steak that is served sliced, there is no excuse for an undercooked steak. Don't send it back bc I'm a team player. For a dessert we ordered several options to share around the table: pie in a jar, cheesecake, and the turtle sundae. The pie in a jar is a MUST-TRY: peanut butter mousse, layered with Oreo pieces, and whipped cream on top. WOW. Seems simplistic but the flavors were great. The cheesecake was a toffee with Heath pieces. I believe the cheesecake was no-bake. But it was very good. I liked the toffee underneath the cake, and the heath pieces were very good. The turtle ice cream sundae was HUGE: like 3 brownies and 4 scoops of ice cream - covered in chocolate and caramel sauces with whipped cream. Overall this was a very good meal - but the steak being undercooked really kept it from a perfect experience. Overall very good. Again.

Crispy was a great waiter! Make reservations! We were seated inside on the bottom floor, but could see the water Pretty views of the water & boats and all of the fabulous looking homes along the water Menu is not extensive but just right. Various cocktail and drinks! I wasn't too hungry so I ordered: Lollipop Lamb Chops: delish and the sauce had just the right tang to it) and Blackened Garlic Shrimp: The bread with this was simply delish. Came with about 4 or 5 Large shrimps Drinks: Spicy Mango - Yum!!! Painkiller- refreshing Make sure to go upstairs to the bar! Huge space for outdoor dining, views of downtown Ocean City Very friendly employees!

ALWAYS a must! My family and I enjoy coming here every year when we vacation. The service was excellent from Emmy. The food is always excellent as well as the drinks. Great views and they have bands. Highly recommend while here!

Brownie dessert was big enough for 4 or more

Great experience here at Sunset Grille. Definitely worth a stop but be prepared to pay for it! Drinks were great, food was superb. Waitress was extremely busy but handled our service well. The atmosphere was fancy and we did dress up a bit.

Sunset grill is our favorite restaurant in ocean city. It has the best crab dip/crab cakes out of the many restaurants we have tried over the years coming for vacation. It doesn't ever normally disappoint, I will say the Australian waygu was a bit of a let down this time around. Not much flavor and overcooked/cold for what I normally prefer. The staff is always very pleasant and attentive. The resturant has an amazing view of the boat docks and on the water.

Beautiful views and a great atmosphere! We usually stop at Sunset Grill for Happy Hour once or twice on our annual vacation. We love sitting outside at the marina overlooking all of the yachts. We didn't go for Happy Hour this year but we did stop in for a round of Orange Crushes and some appetizers. We loved the Orange Crushes and I would recommend every appetizer I ordered! We shared Wings, Vine Ripened Tomato, Crab Dip, and Mahi Fingers. From past experiences we already knew we loved the Mahi Fingers which are lightly breaded and fried, and served with the perfect dipping sauces (sweet chili sauce & spicy remoulade). I'm picky with wings but these were very good; perfectly fried, nice size, crispy, not drowned in sauce, tender, and not chewy. The Vine Ripened Tomato was sort of like a Caprese salad. The tomato was large and ripe. The salad was served with fresh mozzarella, basil, olive oil, and balsamic. The crab dip, to our surprise, had lots of crab and was served with bread that was toasted nicely on the outside but was soft and provided a great bite on the inside. I'd also like to give our server, Charlie, some props. She was very patient with us and was very helpful with the menu when it came to questions. She did a great job with our large party. The only odd thing was that they did not serve draft beers at the tables we were sitting at which wasn't the end of the world. We did have a very enjoyable experience. Drinks were great, food couldn't have been better, and even though it is a little pricey, the atmosphere and location are 2nd to none.

    Aged Cabot White Cheddar Rolls

Hubby and I came in for a light lunch while visiting OCMD. Good service, nice vibe with great waterfront view overlooking the Marina (outdoor seatings or by the windows). We didn't order much and food was decent. We ordered the Aged Cabot White Cheddar Rolls which was really good, also tired the Crab Cakes, and an Eastern Shore Cobb Salad with Jumbo Lump Crab.

Buttered shrimp. Delicious but better when it was with the cheese tortellini.

We went back this year and they had the shrimp with the tortellini again. :) My son said his burgers were the best he's ever had and they were just the kids burgers haha. Everything was delicious. We may be back for a second time before we leave. Definitely the groups favorite of the week so far.

    Chesapeake Chicken
    Arielle D.

The food at Sunset Grill grill was well seasoned, tasty and the seafood was fresh. I ordered the Chesapeake Chicken with a baked potato, seasonal greens, and peeled shrimp. My friend ordered the crab cakes with mashed potatoes and salad. Both meals were delicious! The crab was very juicy, the chicken was tender and I loved the addition of the ham on top of the chicken. In terms of service our waiter Jared is a rockstar! He was kind, sweet and very helpful. The manager was amazing as well you can tell they truly care about customer satisfaction which I appreciate. The restaurant closes a bit early but you can go to Teasers next door for live music and cocktails! Teasers closes at 2 am. My only complaint is the way the staff delivers food orders. There is a standing table behind the bar that servers place food on before they transit the orders to patrons and it's a very high traffic area. Tons of people (customers and staff) walk by and lean over the food from multiple entry points which is not ideal. To know that food is waiting in a high traffic area with multiple people leaning over meals is unsettling. Luckily our food came directly from the kitchen. Overall it was a pleasant experience!

    Espresso martini and Cosmo

What a great place for family! We had our kids and grandchildren in from out of state and were looking off a waterfront restaurant. This place didn't disappoint. The food was fresh, portions were plentiful. The outdoor seating was perfect for our large party, including an active toddler! The waitress was friendly and accommodating, making great recommendations. The NY strip was cooked perfectly and the Eastern Shore Cobb Salad was very fresh. Yummy martinis too! Great all around.

This restaurant is located on the top of the Cambria hotel. I heard it was popular, but even with a reservation we had to wait over 25 minutes to be sat at our table. And our table was a high top right in the bar area which was a little disappointing. It was up against a window that I'm sure would have given us an amazing view but it was already so dark outside. The interior of the restaurant was also extremely dim. Because of where we were sat it was extremely loud and I felt a little stuffed into the seat since there was a party of 5 directly behind me sitting. The menu is expansive. We obviously celebrated with a bottle of wine and our server Nina (I think that was her name) was very attentive and always made sure our glasses were filled. The bread was delicious and we decided on a couple tapas. It was hard to eat just because the table was tiny. The food was beautifully presented and came out staggered which was nice. The steak was great, the calamari was very standard. And the crab fritters tasted like a lot of filler.. our favorite was the mushroom and scallop risotto. I'm not a scallop girl but the risotto was cooked beautifully and had such a savory unique buttery flavor that I'm still thinking about! I'd come here again but 10000% please make a reservation!! The ambiance is vibey and the food was pretty good. Be prepared to spend some $$ here!

The good: It's right on the Boardwalk and if you have the right table, you can see and hear the breakers as you dine. The wait staff couldn't have been nicer and more attentive. The chips and salsa were pretty good but they do charge for this. The chips are served in a metal basket that arrives warm out of a broilers. It seems like a great spot for young folk who want to drink and have a light bite. Unfortunately, the good ends there. The bad: the music is so loud that it's a struggle to have a conversation. And if you linger, it will give you sensory overload and lead to a headache. Because the chips were so good, I had great expectations for my carne asada bowl. But I was wrong. To start, the cheese on top was cold. No, it wasn't melted either. Pet peeve of mine, if you put cold shredded cheese on any of my food and you don't melt it, it's not going to get a good review. Unless it's a salad. The asada beef was flavorful but very dry. If you didnt include some of the rice and/or other vegetables with each bite of the beef, it was unpleasant. Portion sizes: on the small side but that plays into catering to the younger, drinking crowd. Now the financial side: $9.60 Parking $54.00 Two bowls, one soda, one water and one chips and salsa, 20% tip Almost $64.00 for a couple dining out at what should inexpensive eats without alcohol is ridiculous. I am sure there are better Mexican eateries on this barrier strip and I intend to find them. This place however, is a failure. Overall Rating: D+
