Came into the Spain Wine bar to celebrate my boyfriend and I's anniversary which was on a Saturday…read more It was off season and I was so surprised to see the massive crowd waiting for tables outside the entrance of the restaurant. This restaurant is located on the top of the Cambria hotel. I heard it was popular, but even with a reservation we had to wait over 25 minutes to be sat at our table. And our table was a high top right in the bar area which was a little disappointing. It was up against a window that I'm sure would have given us an amazing view but it was already so dark outside. The interior of the restaurant was also extremely dim. Because of where we were sat it was extremely loud and I felt a little stuffed into the seat since there was a party of 5 directly behind me sitting. The menu is expansive. We obviously celebrated with a bottle of wine and our server Nina (I think that was her name) was very attentive and always made sure our glasses were filled. The bread was delicious and we decided on a couple tapas. It was hard to eat just because the table was tiny. The food was beautifully presented and came out staggered which was nice. The steak was great, the calamari was very standard. And the crab fritters tasted like a lot of filler.. our favorite was the mushroom and scallop risotto. I'm not a scallop girl but the risotto was cooked beautifully and had such a savory unique buttery flavor that I'm still thinking about! I'd come here again but 10000% please make a reservation!! The ambiance is vibey and the food was pretty good. Be prepared to spend some $$ here!

When we did get seated we were put at a table where we were pretty squished together elbow to elbow. Robbie, their manager, came over and spoke to my husband and myself was extremely professional and a great problem solver. He asked our waiter, Abdullah, to get us our drinks and he set up another table for us. Then he comped us charcuterie board for our troubles! He was wonderful and took care of us all. Even bringing out a champagne toast for the 91-year-old! Abdullah was a great waiter and saw to our every need. Both Robbie and Abdullah made a big deal over our birthday girl and she was thrilled. And oh yes, every bite was scrumptious! We absolutely love Spain wine bar.

9/21/25 - Our first dinner out at Ocean City... one of the first restaurants that popped up on…read morealmost all my targeted searches was a place called the Tipsy Taco. The good: It's right on the Boardwalk and if you have the right table, you can see and hear the breakers as you dine. The wait staff couldn't have been nicer and more attentive. The chips and salsa were pretty good but they do charge for this. The chips are served in a metal basket that arrives warm out of a broilers. It seems like a great spot for young folk who want to drink and have a light bite. Unfortunately, the good ends there. The bad: the music is so loud that it's a struggle to have a conversation. And if you linger, it will give you sensory overload and lead to a headache. Because the chips were so good, I had great expectations for my carne asada bowl. But I was wrong. To start, the cheese on top was cold. No, it wasn't melted either. Pet peeve of mine, if you put cold shredded cheese on any of my food and you don't melt it, it's not going to get a good review. Unless it's a salad. The asada beef was flavorful but very dry. If you didnt include some of the rice and/or other vegetables with each bite of the beef, it was unpleasant. Portion sizes: on the small side but that plays into catering to the younger, drinking crowd. Now the financial side: $9.60 Parking $54.00 Two bowls, one soda, one water and one chips and salsa, 20% tip Almost $64.00 for a couple dining out at what should inexpensive eats without alcohol is ridiculous. I am sure there are better Mexican eateries on this barrier strip and I intend to find them. This place however, is a failure. Overall Rating: D+

I have not eaten one bad thing here and am convinced it is the best breakfast spot in town! The lobster benedict (often one of their specials) is tender, flavorful, and delicious; and their Captain Crunch french toast (one of their regular menu items) is amazing and doesn't even need the melba sauce it is served with on the side. I tried a bite of their corn pancake special, which was also very good, not overly sweet, and paired well with the mango salsa; and my mom had their Angel food cake French toast with berries and melba sauce, which she enjoyed very much. They also have a number of different mimosa selections. I had a pineapple mimosa the first time and a passionfruit one the second and both were equally delicious and again, not overly sweet. It gets very busy on the weekends but whenever we have had to wait, it was never longer than ten minutes. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area as there is something for everyone and the food is consistently amazing!
