Globe trotting on Eastern Shore, Ocean City to be more specific. i have not been onnthe Ocean City beach in years and what a wonderful choice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The weather was absolutely perfect, plenty of parking on the street and we were luck to get an outside Ocean view seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our goal was brunch 5he pop in and out of restaurants and pubs as we walked the boardwalk. We had the most amazing young lady serving our table, and since we were celebrating a birthday, of course we started with mimosa to toast the day...the food was nothing lessnthan a culinary delight...was unable to complete my meal. If ever in the Ocean City area make it a point to stop in and do brunch....amazing!!!!!

Turkey wrap and soup. Can kind of see the cheese didn't melt...

We stopped in for a business lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was only one other table in the restaurant, and the music was blaring.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waiter said he would turn it down, and I didn't even ask. He knew it was crazy. We tried to order salads, but the waiter said the restaurant was closing the next day and they didn't have the ingredients to make the salads. So, we had the deviled eggs and soup. The soup came out cold. It would have probably been good if the cheese had melted. My husband said deviled eggs were good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view of the ocean was the best part of the lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Their signature cocktail, strong and balanced. High note of the dinner.

This place is lauded as one of the best for drinks and seafood but I don't think they are staffed properly as our service was pretty slow despite being a table of two on the off season. A table near ours got angry and insisted on getting their food to go as they had been waiting almost 30 min for their entrees. Their cocktails were strong and well balanced, and their pork sandwich had exactly what described but the bread was barely holding on and desperately needed more acid. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's an outdoor/indoor space right on the beach which is fun and the space had its regulars, they just need to get the pacing and balance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Everything was great but please don't go here expecting a cheap meal. 2 margaritas alone cost me $28 [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating inside is nice if you're seeking air conditioning outdoor seating is nice for the beach scenery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress was nice. Just again won't be visiting more than once due to massive bill at the end. The story of OCMD though I suppose.

2024 | $36.00 | Roasted Crab Cake - mostly filler. Not worth the price. Bad representation for a MD Crab Cake. Not recommended.

Aug. 2025 | Mixed Emotions Dining Experience Customer service - 5 out of 5 Wait time - 2 out of 5 (appetizer) [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cleanliness - 5 out of 5[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere - 4 out of 5[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food quality - 3 out of 5 We tried Coastal Salt last year and left disappointed. Told ourselves we wouldn't return, but the South Pacific Snapper lured me back, and here come the mixed emotions as per my title. Pros: - That Snapper? Phenomenal. Caribbean vibes in every bite. Generous portion and balanced flavor. Sweetness from the coconut & mango, accompanied by mild spice, and brightness. One of my favorite dishes in OCMD. - Jake, our waiter, gave it his all to smooth out the experience. Cons: - Appetizer never arrived until after entrées were finished. Jake comped it, but it added to the chaos. - My son couldn't eat here due to a nut allergy. What he wanted (burger, mac & cheese) wasn't safe, so we settled for chicken & potatoes a-la-cart. The bill showed $10 for dry chicken, & $9 for bland potatoes. - My wife's mashed potatoes were cold, but quickly replaced by the manager. Despite better entrées this year, except for my son's, we won't return. Between allergy limitations and service stumbles, we're not the target audience. Still, I'd recommend it to those without dietary concerns, and strongly recommend the South Pacific Snapper. Score: 19/25 for a grade C for 2025.

Shocker.... Who closes at 10 on a Saturday at the beach? Menu offered great selections of Apps and seafood, but staff were ready to go. They stopped taking orders at 9:30. I Sat at the bar and the bar staff turned 2 groups of 4 and a solo patron away - from drinks! They are losing money by turning bar patrons away. Staff were focused on closing.. at 9:30pm, I quickly ordered fried deviled eggs... and was disappointed. The panko seasoning was tasteless. Although the presentation and plating was creative. I was underwhelmed by staff customer service.

Food and drinks were really good! Food came out pretty quick as well. Our waiter was also very friendly and helpful.

We started with a dozen raw oysters from Virginia. They were deliciously plump and briny, chilled to perfection. I had the lump crab cake sandwich on a brioche bun with arugula and tartar sauce with fries. The blue crab was generous. My sister had the Crab Cobb Salad. It was a work of art! It was stacked like a tower with layer upon layer with Crab Meat, Corn, Avocado, Bitter Greens, Pico De Gallo, Bacon, Shaved Asparagus, and Avocado Lime Vinaigrette. Amazing!

We came in late in the afternoon on a Thursday and sat outside facing the ocean. They first seated us at a table in the sun and we asked if we could sit in the shade so [[HIGHLIGHT]]they moved us right away[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Our waitress came right over and helped us. She was great and made suggestions on what was good and she was very patient with us when we couldn't decide. She recommended a sweet and fruity pineapple drink which was delicious. We got 2 appetizers and 2 wraps which were both very good. Such great views, service and food

[[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the places open during the offseason, nice bar inside with very warm and welcoming dining room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is outside dining if the weather's nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great selection of cocktails and mocktails and beers. The east coast old fashioned was delicious. They had a soup special for St Patrick's Day which was lamb and corned beef and vegetables and potatoes etc which was very good. The Mediterranean scallops were tasty as well. The seafood bucatini was creamy and delicious and the seafood very fresh tasting. Cooked perfectly as well especially the scallops. All the other meals everyone said were good, the steak was cooked perfectly and everyone left full and happy. Service was wonderful, friendly, and enjoyable.

    Crabcake sandwich !

Bartender Jeff Mick pulled up and took care of us. We had a couple shots (which we totally needed at that point) and I ordered two soups to try and push towards my week quota of 10 soups. The French onion was very good - good temp and the flavor was on-point. The MD crab soup was also good with the flavor and temp. Overall - was surprised by the place upstairs and how cool it was.

Total out to approximately $72, not including tip. What's hot - Menu. Breakfast is available before noon, so hubby and I made certain to arrive before then, because I'm a huge fan of breakfast. Aside from breakfast options (such as breakfast burritos, omelettes, etc.), they have a good variety including sandwiches, salads, burgers, a good variety of appetizers, etc... - Quality. Delicious. My veggie omelette was very fluffy and soft. I'm not a fan of thin omelettes and this one did not disappoint. There were a good amount of veggies included. They put the cheese on top of the omelette, instead of inside with the fillings, but oh well.... My omelette came with 2 slices of cantaloupe and a strawberry, in addition to has browns, which was nice. I appreciate having fruit. The hash browns were not greasy, as well. My husband's burger challenge was enormous. The bun was very thick, which makes it difficult to eat. You definitely have to eat the burger challenge in pieces. There's a good amount of fillings, such as tomatoes, lettuce, and bacon. Their waffle fries are well-seasoned, which adds to the flavor. - Service. The staffer for our table was polite, attentive, and helpful, especially in answering any questions we had about the menu. He checked in on us regularly, which was helpful when we needed refills and/or anything extra. - Layout. Their outdoor seating area is a good layout. It does not appear outdoor tables can accommodate more than a group of 4, so be prepared depending on your group. - Price. Pretty good value for money, especially given the portions. What's not - Menu. Because I'm a huge breakfast fan, I would appreciate breakfast being available all day. That I had to pay extra for cheese in my omelette was surprising and disappointing, but it appears to be something that is becoming more common in restaurants. - Layout. There are umbrellas covering the outdoor seating, which is helpful. Towards the end of our meal, it started raining, so the large umbrella covering was helpful. However, part of the umbrella started coming apart. Rain also drips down on to your back, so just something to be aware of. Final answer Worth returning.

One of the great things about the wait is that the restaurant is butt up against a surf shop full of curiosities. I wound up purchasing my daughter the sweetest little bracelet with a ceramic goldfish charm. That made the wait time fly by, and before we knew it, we were getting called to a table in back. We were promptly seated and given a drink menu with many options. We were seated in an open air spot on the water at a pub table. The menu is diverse with many options for different tastes. We ordered the fries to share as an appetizer. It was an insane portion of hand cut potatoes loaded with all of the toppings indicated on the menu. Three of us decided to split two pizzas and an order of wings for dinner, and the other ordered sandwich. The food came out, piping hot, and it was delicious. The prices are reasonable, and the parking is easily accessible. Do not go to OC without checking out this cool spot.
