The menu is small, which could be a good sign as there isn't that many dishes to have to perfect. My son ordered a chicken dish that he couldn't eat because the chicken was so dry and it was $26. My other son ordered a steak quesadilla (simple, always good) 3/4 of the quesadilla was just cheese minus steak. I ordered the steak fajitas and could only get thru 2 pieces of steak, it was underseasoned and super chewy. Chips were stale, salsa tasted like it came from a can. I really wanted this place to be a win as it's our last night in OC and we wanted something a little different than the seafood fair, would have been better off eating at a McDonald's quite honestly Super pricey for lower than sub-par food. They serve until midnight. Bartender was super friendly and willing to make me a jalapeño watermelon Margarita. I ordered the shrimp tacos with the sauce on the side. Sauce had a lot of heat, but a little bit on top was delicious. The inside has lots of bright colors and a sticky floor at night, but it's a great place to hang out and feel comfortable. Went here for dinner because it was just across the street from where we were in OC. We got a table outside which was nice because our little one can see all the cars passing by. The colorful paintings remind me of the Bahamas. The place wasn't busy even at dinner time. Staff were nice and constantly checking on us. Food wasn't great. We got the quesadilla and a cup of fruits for our toddler. The fruits were not fresh and probably from a can because you can taste the syrup. I didn't even feed to my toddler. I really hope it was just an off night. Based on the recent reviews we were excited to try here. It was truly a 2 star experience. I am giving a 3 because the owner was very nice and hustling like crazy to try to help the obvious gaps in staffing. It's July 5th. The most talked about food item: street corn is all out. Disappointed. Party of 7. Nice size booth with chair on end we all fit. Order taken. Waitress will bring us salsa and chips. We didn't see her again for 15 minutes. We got one basket for 7 people. I think we each had 2 chips and it was gone. Chips were kind of stale, but tasty. Salsa is very good. We finish the chips in about 3 minutes. Server never offered to refill. We would have asked for refill but she disappeared for 20 minutes. Our food took an hour to come. It wasn't crowded. The wait staff looked defeated, tired and overwhelmed. Perhaps a holiday hangover? I don't mean from drinking..from being overworked. When our food finally arrived, we couldn't eat it because we had no utensils. We had already asked twice. Someone in our party got fajitas. Received the fixings and tortillas. The hot food part came 10 minutes later, but they forgot a plate so he had nowhere to put his fajitas together. So he had to wait even longer to eat. When our waitress would disappear, we didn't see her or anyone else for 10 minutes. I had the Shrimp Del Fuego. There was no "Del Fuego" No heat, no spice. My meal didn't fit the description in the menu at all. The shrimp seemed sautéed, not fire grilled. Same with the peppers & onions. Sautéed and bland. The side of Mexican rice was super skimpy, no spice whatsoever. My other side was wrong. Asked for spicy green beans. Received black beans. They corrected it, but i was finished with my dinner before I got them. The spicy green beans were yummy. The rest of my meal was the most flavorless Mexican I have ever had. The taco salad shell was generous and looked good. The make your own bowls our girls enjoyed, but to me the size of the bowl was small. Like a breakfast cereal bowl. Certainly not a dinner portion. We had to flag the waitress down for utensils, drink refills and the check. Literally the only time she came to check in us was after 50 minutes to say our food wouldn't take much longer, and 40 minutes later to ask if we needed anything. Aloha, when in Ocean City, there are a ton of choices. Knowing where to eat can be tricky. Tequila Frogs, was located next door to us on the left and since we just drove in, thought a nice walk would be nice. We were happy we walked in TFs. Great reasonable generous portions of Mexican food. Lot's of chips and dip too. 2 good size grilled chicken breast with tasty street corn and chicken tacos with fresh ingredients with lots of beans & rice. The grilled chicken salad was yummy with nice array of greens, tortilla strips and avocado, with a nice vinaigrette dressing. Would definitely come back to Tequila Frogs! Yes, OC baby! read more

Not sure that the restaurant was prepared for the thousands of people that were in town for a cheer competition. They were out of several things that were listed on their menu to include: Frozen Margaritas; items for speciality drinks, and various condiments. The kids menu is pretty sparse and the serving is not equivalent to the price for the kids' items. read more

Hard to complain about this place. Went to OCMD for labor day weekend with friends. Happy hour originally brought us here but we ended up coming back the next day because it was good and near our airbnb. Burrito bowls were the move and the habanero sauce was essential. Perfect taste. Big portions and great as leftovers. Shrimp was good and gave a good amount of protein when added. Friends enjoyed the quesadillas as well. Complimentary chips and salsa. well i really wanted to love this place but honestly wish I never went. The two stars is solely for our server she was great but everything else was mediocre at best. To start, they gave one member of our party a hard time about her ID (and was kinda rude) because she died her hair but she was well over 21. Next, I order a cheese quesadilla from the kids menu due to dietary restrictions and that was all i could eat on the menu, then i'm told i have to get the appetizer quesadilla instead because i'm ordering drinks therefor I was not allowed to order off the kids menu despite there not being an age restriction on the menu. When I order, I ask for nothing but cheese and the tortilla which is exactly the kids menu item (which i also said no side to). The one male there was really rude and eventually when I explain that's that's all I can eat he gives lots of negative energy before eventually charging me for the kids one (which is what I got even though they tried to charge me $5 extra for the appetizer one). The price of Tequila Frogs was less than desirable when it came to price. However, the enchiladas were delicious. The taquitos were frozen, and did not come with what it states in the menu. The service was alright, food came out quick, however when they didn't have ice tea they took it upon themselves to substitute with Lemon Aid without asking me first. We also tried ordering an appetizer but they had it out of stock. I called ahead for a large party, and was told it was extremely busy and that they didn't do reservations because they didn't know if they could reserve a spot. Upon arriving it took less than a minute for them to seat a party of 6 and it wasn't busy. There were extremely obnoxious guests screaming in the restaurant that was headache inducing but the restaurant didn't seem to care. The ambiance was that of an empty office meeting and large, uncomfortable open space. It feels like they didn't finish furnishing it yet. I won't be coming back. read more

I opened one and it was practically empty of meat and cilantro, onion, sauce etc. so I paid $10 for an extremely greasy shell with literally a dab of meat in it. The margaritas were good but lots of rocks. Since it was a Tuesday, we decided to have shrimp tacos- you could be pick two sides. Matthew told ya how delicious the street corn was so wanted to try it. Unfortunately they were out I opted for the black beans and my husband chose the slaw and as our other side, yes you get two we both chose rice both options were good. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. We will definitely go back and hopefully get the street corn. The drinks weren't right for what so ever and then the waiter came back out to tell us half of what we ordered they were out of. I then got a chicken burrito that was 15 dollars that had barely any chicken in it what so ever. It was all full of rice that was way over done and was almost to the texture of mashed potatoes. We also get the steak bowls as well and add the verde sauce. I never get steak tacos or burritos anywhere because sometimes the steak is chewy and it grosses me out, but here it's perfect. Stopped into Tequila frogs after the Air Show this weekend to grab some take out.... Boy were we pleasantly surprised when we got back to the house and started getting onto the delicacies!!!
