The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming; it's the rare kind of place where everyone knows your name and treats you like family rather than just another customer. A few of my personal staples are the French toast, the waffles, and the fried egg sandwich--but no matter what you order, the home potatoes are a must to complete the meal! The layout has tables and booth sitting, as well as counter seating. Now, for the food..... The Lobster Benedict. I am a big advocate for both lobsters and Benedicts. The lobster was cooked perfect. Just as I hoped for. The Cinnabon pancakes was not too sweet. That one definite hit the spot. I would definitely order both of these again. Finally a good Feta Cheese omelette with home fries. The Home Fries are actually cooked on the flattop NOT in a french fry machine, like a real diner does BUT expect be charged for added peppers and onions, if that's what you want. Eggs are made with clarified butter and beef tallow is used for frying. This is their first US location and the local owner has franchise rights for Nevada, expect other locations. I have mixed feelings on this place. I've read all the rave reviews (there's a good handful from people with less than 5 reviews in the beginning...which means...hmmm). For me, other than the exemplary service and the great cup of joe, the food didn't quite hit it for me. I came here after church and was greeted right away by one of the happy cooks. The restaurant had a vibe of an old diner with a fast food twist. The decor and seating areas were nice. My daughter and I ordered pancakes and a bagel with cream cheese. We were confused that the pancake and bagel came with 'to go' condiments (individual packets) and not actual butter and cream cheese over our items. My take is: either this place is still fairly new and the restaurant is using package butter/cream cheese for longer shelf life=less waste/money or maybe someone thought it was a take out order (even though we were dining in). Brunch time! My fam loves breakfast for lunch and we remembered this restaurant near our crib that advertised they were opening soon. Well, lucky for us they have been open and we decided to give it a try :) Famous all-day breakfast! I had a simple meal that included savory eggs, breakfast potatoes, and mouth-watering bacon cooked just right. I also wanted to try their pancakes, so I opted for the blueberry ones that were super delicious. I liked the powdered sugar added to these as well. My husband had a tasty breakfast bowl that did not disappoint. There were quite a few breakfast offerings I wanted to try, such as the Lobster Benedict. I came here about a month or so ago to get some to go breakfast. I was craving it! Wow! This place is delicious. A Canadian treat right here in Las Vegas! Everyone was so nice in the restaurant. The owner himself took my order, and he was quite a good up seller haha!! He sold me on the Cinnabon pancakes, and they were delicious. He was so nice and humble. After a nice family hike, we were excited to sit down and enjoy breakfast together at a new spot. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and seated promptly at a table for six for our party of five. The restaurant was not busy, and we had plenty of time to look over the menu and decide what we wanted. Unfortunately, that's where the service stopped. After being seated, we were completely ignored. No one came to take drink orders, check in, or even acknowledge us with a quick "we'll be right with you." As time went on, it became clear the staff was more focused on talking amongst themselves than attending to guests. There was little activity, and no indication that anyone intended to help us. After waiting far longer than we should have--without a single word from any staff member--we decided to leave. To make matters worse, the staff acknowledged and said goodbye to the party ahead of us, yet never once spoke to us during our entire visit. It was a really disappointing experience, especially after such a nice start to our morning. read more

Had a great experience at Sunset Grill today. I had avocado toast and asked for just the dark rye bread, Guac and the tomato on the side. It also comes with feta cheese & olive oil, & onion which I asked to be deleted. I like my avocado toast simple. I really enjoyed the dark rye and felt it added to the flavor. I had my eggs soft scrambled with cheddar cheese; they were prepared perfectly. I also had the fresh fruit, which was definitely fresh and not that frozen cantaloupe/honey dew mix. It had honey dew, cantaloupe, strawberries, red grapes and blueberries--delish! My husband got the Salmon Eggs Sunset, which was basically a salmon eggs Benedict. He said it was the best he's had in town. We eat out A LOT so that's saying something! It came with home made potatoes that he said were very tasty. There are so many delicious choices that we want to try. We will definitely be back. We also had two iced teas, which they served us Pure Leaf, which we like. Our bill was right around $50. Our server, Ann, was excellent and super friendly too. We can't wait to go back!! They are open 7-3 daily. Highly recommend! read more

We were so surprised to be informed that they have no deep fryers, their coffee is From them from Canada freshly roasted. Better coffee than pancake house and egg works and better price. We had such a great breakfast at Sunset Grill! We were greeted and seated immediately, and our waitress was truly the sweetest--she took our drink order right away and our food order shortly after. Service was attentive the whole time, and coffee refills were always prompt (love that!). I really wanted to try the peameal bacon, but we definitely ordered too much. Our waitress gave us the best tip for leftovers: reheat it in a skillet so it stays delicious--so helpful and thoughtful. I ordered the egg white veggie omelet and it was excellent. The mushrooms were grilled perfectly and the tomatoes were fresh. It tasted so good that I skipped the hot sauce. The pancakes were fluffy, and the home fries were crisp and nicely seasoned--a little salty in the best way (just how he likes them!). This is the second time we have been here in the last 30 days. The first time was 3 of us and the second was 7 of us. Why only 3 stars? 1) Tables only roughly 24 inches wide. Very narrow and made me feel like I was at lunch time in kindergarten. So crowded and very uncomfortable for 7 people, even with a long table. Tables desperately need to be wider! 2) Food is average to mediocre at best. First time I ordered the veggie omelette. Just ok and would not order it again. Potatoes on the side were decent. Second time ordered sunset omelette. Once again would not order again and just 'blah'. Potatoes not as good as last time. 3) Toast is plain toast. You have to ask for jam and they bring you only a couple of small samples, rather than a bowl of small jam containers. Not great. 4) Prices are not expensive yet not cheap either! Quality just ok. 5) Service is very friendly. No complaints there. 6) Coffee is awful and not a great taste. One of my least favorite places for coffee. 7) Compared to other restaurants in the area, this is not even close to the top of the list. I cannot even give it a 4 star as we walked away very clear of the fact that we do not want to come back here as too many way better options in the area, and our dining experience was ok to 'meh'. We actually felt embarrassed, inviting our family here, because the first time just seemed OK, but this time around it was completely mediocre, and we realized that it just doesn't hold a candle to other breakfast areas within a 5 mile radius. 8). I must mention that my daughter ordered the avocado salmon Benedict, and she claimed the salmon tasted weird... Just not right. She was extremely disappointed, and that, on top of mediocre omelettes, just sealed the deal that we do not want to return. no one finished their meal and everyone thought their meals were just OK. No one said they had a great meal or that they would definitely want to order it again. Was it an off day or are we too demanding because we've lived in Vegas for over 20 years and are fortunate enough to be able afford to dine at great places and this just isn't one of them. 9) Restaurant is nice and it's clean, but the tables are way too narrow and it just makes a situation very uncomfortable with chairs that are just OK. The vibe is not so much relaxed as it is family friendly. Overall just a mediocre experience and a thumbs down related to taste and quality of food, with uncomfortable tables. This place would have to seriously improve its food quality/taste in order for us to actually consider coming back. Right now, it's the last thing we wanna do and that's why I can only give it three stars. It wasn't exceptional, but it was an awesome either. It was just 'meh'. read more
