We walked in and the hostess that was also our waitress greeted us and was super friendly and cheery. We sat down and got our coffee order while we looked over the menu. I went with a basic eggs, hashbrowns and french toast combo. The food arrived in a timely manner. My eggs were cooked just as I ordered. The hashbrowns I thought I was getting were actually home fries. Nonetheless they were good. The French toast was thick and cooked nicely. We decided to get the Cinnabon pancakes and lobster benedict. I thought the lobster benedict was a bit pricy at $27.99; however, there was a generous portion of lobster, and the hollandaise sauce tasted freshly made. It comes with home potatoes, which were a bit salty in my opinion. I thought it came in the perfect portion, and I would recommend the lobster benedict. The restaurant had a vibe of an old diner with a fast food twist. The decor and seating areas were nice. My daughter and I ordered pancakes and a bagel with cream cheese. We were confused that the pancake and bagel came with 'to go' condiments (individual packets) and not actual butter and cream cheese over our items. My take is: either this place is still fairly new and the restaurant is using package butter/cream cheese for longer shelf life=less waste/money or maybe someone thought it was a take out order (even though we were dining in). After a nice family hike, we were excited to sit down and enjoy breakfast together at a new spot. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and seated promptly at a table for six for our party of five. The restaurant was not busy, and we had plenty of time to look over the menu and decide what we wanted. Unfortunately, that's where the service stopped. After being seated, we were completely ignored. No one came to take drink orders, check in, or even acknowledge us with a quick "we'll be right with you." As time went on, it became clear the staff was more focused on talking amongst themselves than attending to guests. There was little activity, and no indication that anyone intended to help us. After waiting far longer than we should have--without a single word from any staff member--we decided to leave. To make matters worse, the staff acknowledged and said goodbye to the party ahead of us, yet never once spoke to us during our entire visit. It was a really disappointing experience, especially after such a nice start to our morning. read more

We had such a great breakfast at Sunset Grill! We were greeted and seated immediately, and our waitress was truly the sweetest--she took our drink order right away and our food order shortly after. Service was attentive the whole time, and coffee refills were always prompt (love that!). I really wanted to try the peameal bacon, but we definitely ordered too much. Our waitress gave us the best tip for leftovers: reheat it in a skillet so it stays delicious--so helpful and thoughtful. I ordered the egg white veggie omelet and it was excellent. The mushrooms were grilled perfectly and the tomatoes were fresh. It tasted so good that I skipped the hot sauce. The pancakes were fluffy, and the home fries were crisp and nicely seasoned--a little salty in the best way (just how he likes them!).
