Union Biscuit is a newer breakfast spot that has quickly become one of our favorite places to go for breakfast! They're known for their homemade biscuits, and you can absolutely taste the difference. They're so delicious, light, and airy--you can tell they're made fresh in-house! My favorites are the Spicy Chicken Biscuit and the Korean Chicken Biscuit. Both are packed with flavor and definitely worth trying. We also loved the beignets with the lemon sauce. They were so light and airy, and whatever they're doing with that batter is pure magic! The service is always great, and I actually love the setup--you order at the counter and then find a seat, which makes everything quick and easy. We were a party of 3 and it was crowded when we got there at 11am and groups of people and couples kept pouring in the entire time we were there, also many pickup to go orders. The modern decor is nice and the service is very friendly, if albeit a little young and inexperienced. Had read the reviews, and a popular biscuit place is always intriguing. But for the 3 of us, it just missed the mark. We got the fried chicken with gravy and biscuit, loco moco, and shrimp and grits. Each of the dishes had UB's own spin on these classics, and unfortunately their spins just veered too far from what makes these classics memorable. The fried chicken and hash browns lacked salt, so much so that I had to get up and find a salt shaker. Mind you I'm a person who doesn't like things too salty. The chicken with the gravy was fine but nothing crazy. Biscuit was above average, light and crisp, I found the strawberry jam a little runny and hard to apply with a knife. Just occurred to me now, I should have used a spoon. But for a place with "Biscuit" in their name I was expecting to be more blown away. I've been to top tier bakeries all over the country and have had very elite biscuits, to which these don't compete. It's still like a B tier biscuit which is very good, but not an S tier biscuit or even as A. Not elite. The loco moco was drenched in gravy and had a small amount of rice under the bowl of liquid. For any Hawaiians or people who like the original dish, the proportion should be a deliberate amount of rice and the sauce should only cover 30-40% not 200%. And the meat was not ground beef it was shredded beef, with a tart gravy. Just way too far off the original to enjoy quite frankly. Loco moco should be simple. The shrimp and grits I didn't taste. But there was so much dark sauce and other ingredients it was hard to see the shrimp or the grits. I've never had this dish before, the original, but my assumption is it's more of a simple dish where you can taste the simple flavors. All I know is our guest barely touched it, and brought it home hoping her husband would like it. That's like a .5/3 success rate on our dishes. We also ordered the big cinnamon bun which was supposed to be a popular item. I found it to be dry and not unctuous like an over the top, viral like cinnamon bun should be -- llama mama anyone? I think they use the biscuit dough, which again, another twist they put on that just doesn't really hit for what my brain is expecting and craving. All in all we were pretty underwhelmed. It passed the eye test with the high ratings, niche biscuit brunch crowd, well presented dishes, modern decor. And I certainly don't mind innovation, but anytime you add your own twist to a classic, the key is not losing the integrity of what makes it great. For my pallet and sensibility, they just aren't successful in this. For the younger generation that doesn't maybe know about the classics as much, it's clearly popular and I say to each their own and if they love it and clearly they do, I think that's fantastic for Union Biscuit and all of their faithful clientele. Very efficient. Parking is a little hard to come by. It looks like it can get really crowded. We came during an off lunch hour. The Nashville sandwich is massive and crispy. Highly recommend it. We walked in on a Monday morning for lunch around noon. The restaurant was about half full, but getting crowded by the time we left. The interior was not as spacious, but there were also patio seats, likely not ideal in the middle of the day during a very hot Vegas summer season. Absolutely love this place. All of the staff are so nice. The restaurant itself it bright and clean. We ordered the kids meal with cheesy eggs, bacon and fruit. Came here for Father's Day and it was good! I have never had biscuits and gravy because I am gluten free, and always thought I would be missing out on things. Alas, I still have not had biscuits and gravy because was tempted by the other GF options on the menu. I got the standard egg sandwich on a GF biscuit which is not nearly as cool but I enjoyed it and I just wasn't feeling a heavy gravy that early in the day. The people I was with got a fried chicken on a biscuit and the father in law got a plate with eggs, has browns, a pancake and a biscuit. Lots of food and good portions. OK... holy F this place is GOOD. I had saved Union Biscuit in one of my Yelp collections forever ago and this morning I woke up and said, "today's the day." And wow... I'm so glad I finally came. One of the reviews said, "holy f this place is good," and I'm gonna have to second that because the food was AMAZING. These were hands down the best shrimp and grits I've had in my entire life. And mind you, shrimp and grits isn't even something I eat all the time. I first started eating it maybe two years ago from a spot on the east side and I thought THAT was good... but this? This doesn't even compare. So much flavor. The grits were smooth, creamy, and had little pieces of bacon mixed in that gave it the perfect touch. Every bite just tasted comforting and rich without being too heavy. I don't even know what else to say other than goddamn... that was amazing. It genuinely tasted like it was made with love, like somebody's grandma was back there cooking for me. It was warm, soothing, and honestly exactly what I needed after a super windy night and cold morning. This meal literally revived me. I also ordered a single pancake and OMG... again, probably one of the best pancakes I've had in a long time. So fluffy, soft, buttery, and the syrup amount was perfect. Nothing felt overly sweet or overwhelming. Everything was just RIGHT. Even the coffee was amazing. Another thing I loved was the setup. They give you a mug and you can get up and refill your own coffee or water whenever you want. I actually loved that because I didn't have to wait around for a server, even though all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. It just made the whole experience feel comfortable and relaxed. Yes please! I would break some major laws to eat Union Biscuit regularly. Luckily, I can make the short drive and just wait in line. The biscuits are fresh, flaky, and soft. They are not the heavy, out of a can that you smack on the counter Pillsbury dough we grew up on. The gravy is spectacular. Light, full of flavor, spread of joy that will make your morning. The beignets were really good, and the fried chicken biscuit with mushroom gravy was delicious--the gravy complemented the biscuit perfectly (I ordered it on the side so it wouldn't get soggy). So when I go out and have a biscuit, hers where the benchmark by which all other biscuits are judged. I got to tell you Union Biscuit may have bested my grandma. Basically it's grab a menu, wait in line, order at the counter, and a table number will be given to you. You. This place definitely gets busy on the weekends, but the line moves pretty quickly. The coffee bar will serve yourself, which I was a little taken aback by, but it actually worked very smoothly. The coffee itself was very tasty and wonderful. Plenty of cream sweeteners and such. Plus a serve yourself water bar. One interesting thing about Union biscuit is that you are a signed a table. Which I have never experienced before, but it actually makes sense. The restaurant itself is bright and airy with Windows everywhere so you can look out and see the mountains. There is also outdoor seating on a patio which is very nice as well. I was torn between the Korean chicken biscuit and the peanut butter and jelly and bacon and chicken biscuit. I opted for the peanut butter and jelly and bacon, just because it sounded amazing. Spoiler alert: it was! My girlfriend had the shrimp and grits, and she loved them! I myself am not a fan of grits, but I tasted them and they were so good.. Bottom line? This place is definitely on my list of breakfast places to go back to. It's really really good, and definitely has a warm fuzzy vibe to it. Decently sized menu. Not so much one it that you have too much trouble picking what you want. Prices are very nice considering the density of the orders. ( you will get full even if you think you won't ) Bright and inviting atmosphere. Also a very cute and compact small diner feel. Def a good start to the morning to wake you up. Pleasant colors that keep you feeling calm. It's interesting what color and lighting can do to the nervous system and feel of a place. I got the egg n cheese biscuit. 2 eggs over easy perfectly cooked. Looking at it you wouldn't think it's as soft and incredibly fluffy yet perfectly dense it is. It's hit my top 3 and I have eaten biscuits every state and country I go to. We also got the French toast... pleasant sunrise it was also in biscuit form and OMG a must get! It was SOoooo good. Never had that before. Had croissant French toast but not biscuit and this was cooked to perfection sooooo number 1 French toast I had in my life thus far! Our family is over the moon with having Union Biscuit in our neighborhood! When someone asks who has the best pancakes, we send them to Union Biscuit. Our goto order is the Chicken Fried Chicken with pimento for the biscuit and hashbrowns and a full stack of those perfect blueberry pancakes. Their chicken is always perfectly prepared, the pimento is a perfect creamy/spicy balance to the fantastic biscuit. And those pancakes, holy moly are they good!!!! Served with a whipped cream/butter not sure exactly what it is to be honest, on the side. And let's talk about their coffee!! I am a black coffee kinda girl and I swear if I sat here too long I would have a heart attack from drinking too much caffeine. It's just that good! read more

Tie place was fantastic all around! Workers were very kind, attentive and willing to offer recommendations on the menu. You order at the counter but they came around multiple times to check on us and refill our waters. I had better service here than I've had at many sit down restaurants. Much appreciated! The menu is fun and offers traditional delights as well as more fusion and unique items, definitely making this a spot all can enjoy. I tried the Korean fried chicken biscuit and wow did that amaze my tastebuds. The flavor was great and the biscuit was so soft and fluffy. If you order just a biscuit they're $4 or $5 and come with a big heaping of honey butter. Yum. They do offer gluten free biscuits and options. Ambiance was upbeat and welcoming.
