The gravy was amazing and paired perfectly with the chicken. Biscuits: One of my first times having biscuits like this and I was thoroughly impressed. Delicious and fluffy, and the jam paired with the housemade whipped butter took them to another level. Hash Brown: Well sautéed potatoes that were perfectly crispy. Exactly what you want. My daughter Bella and I decided to run over to Union Biscuit today, for our quick fix of their delicious Fried Chicken, and Biscuits and Gravy, with eggs over easy. Funny thing though was that I was thinking about their Shrimp n Grits when I got there, after my son Brian had raved about how good the grits were a couple months ago. And so I broke from my usual tradition, of fried chicken, or chicken sausage, and went for the shrimp n grits. Came here for Father's Day and it was good! I have never had biscuits and gravy because I am gluten free, and always thought I would be missing out on things. Alas, I still have not had biscuits and gravy because was tempted by the other GF options on the menu. OK... holy F this place is GOOD. I had saved Union Biscuit in one of my Yelp collections forever ago and this morning I woke up and said, "today's the day." And wow... I'm so glad I finally came. One of the reviews said, "holy f this place is good," and I'm gonna have to second that because the food was AMAZING. These were hands down the best shrimp and grits I've had in my entire life. And mind you, shrimp and grits isn't even something I eat all the time. I first started eating it maybe two years ago from a spot on the east side and I thought THAT was good... but this? This doesn't even compare. So much flavor. The grits were smooth, creamy, and had little pieces of bacon mixed in that gave it the perfect touch. Every bite just tasted comforting and rich without being too heavy. I don't even know what else to say other than goddamn... that was amazing. It genuinely tasted like it was made with love, like somebody's grandma was back there cooking for me. It was warm, soothing, and honestly exactly what I needed after a super windy night and cold morning. This meal literally revived me. I also ordered a single pancake and OMG... again, probably one of the best pancakes I've had in a long time. So fluffy, soft, buttery, and the syrup amount was perfect. Nothing felt overly sweet or overwhelming. Everything was just RIGHT. Even the coffee was amazing. Another thing I loved was the setup. They give you a mug and you can get up and refill your own coffee or water whenever you want. Plus a serve yourself water bar. One interesting thing about Union biscuit is that you are a signed a table. Which I have never experienced before, but it actually makes sense. The restaurant itself is bright and airy with Windows everywhere so you can look out and see the mountains. There is also outdoor seating on a patio which is very nice as well. I was torn between the Korean chicken biscuit and the peanut butter and jelly and bacon and chicken biscuit. I opted for the peanut butter and jelly and bacon, just because it sounded amazing. Spoiler alert: it was! My girlfriend had the shrimp and grits, and she loved them! I myself am not a fan of grits, but I tasted them and they were so good.. Bottom line? Decided to come in for breakfast this morning after hearing how popular this place has been. I tried to come before but it was super slammed, so today we arrived early to beat the crowd. I'm glad we did because as soon as we sat down, the crowd arrived! The place immediately felt like home. Very bright, well lit, and welcoming. I just placed an order on Postmates after blindly discovering Union Biscuit in my recommendations. I don't know what I did to deserve this blessing in my food algorithm, but all those good choices led me here and I am so happy. I ordered the KFC biscuit sandwich with the gochujang sauce and buttermilk ranch on the side. I saw reviews saying the sauce made the chicken soggy and due to delivery I didn't want to chance it. The chicken without the sauce is so good. The batter is definitely seasoned before frying. I added the gochujang sauce and the sandwich was next-level with the slaw and biscuit symphony. (The gochujang sauce was cold, wasn't expecting that. I did try it cold and then warmed up to release the flavors more. Better warmed up) The biscuit is fluffy, buttery, sturdy, yet soft and just everything a biscuit should be. Even through delivery. I can only imagine them on site. Overall, Union gets a 5. Been wanting to check this place out for a little while now and made it happen today!! Super cute little spot with a good handful of booths, tables and a little outdoor area as well. Loved the signs and decor and the service was great! I'm a big fan of places that make their items from scratch and they make mostly everything here in house daily. All of our food was delicious and was more than we could finish!! I couldn't leave without trying the strawberry shortcake and I'm so glad I tried it. It was so yummy!!! The vegan items were all very good as well and they also have gluten free items too. I'm really glad we finally tried this place and I'd definitely eat here for breakfast again!! read more

I think one of the best biscuits Ive ever had! The gravy was sooooo good paired with the biscuit.
