Stunning fast-casual restaurant with friendly service. Why only 3 stars? Well, I ordered the waffle with blueberries & cream. The restaurant didn't have a waffle iron, so had to buy my order from next door (Alchemy). I literally saw a male staff walked in from next door with my waffle plate. The waffle wasn't freshly made; rather, It was one of those sweet Belgian waffle that are individually wrapped. How disappointing! I could have made my own breakfast with waffle iron from home.

When I walked into Sofra Tavern, the first thing I noticed was how warm and welcoming it felt. The windows had these beautiful floral designs on them that immediately caught my eye and gave the place a really charming touch. Inside, the walls were painted in this soft burnt color that made the whole space feel cozy and relaxed. The tea was also so cute when it came out. It was one of those drinks that's basically made for an Instagram picture before you even take a sip. Everything just looked so pretty and thoughtfully presented. For dessert, the baklava ice cream was such a fun combination. It had this smooth, melty texture but still had that nice crunch from the baklava pieces. My absolute favorite though was the baklava cheesecake. It was rich, sweet, and had the perfect balance of creamy and crispy textures. Definitely something I'd go back for again. The main course that I totally forgot to mention was the chicken sharwanna (totally butchered the name) the wrap was good as well. The best part was that the fries were fried in beef tallow.

Found Sofra Taverna on Yelp and decided to give it a try since it's only 10 minutes from home. We ordered the Qebapas with fluffy pita bread, kajmak, ajvar, onions, and cabbage, along with Turkish tea, coffee, and a shawarma wrap with fries to go. The food was delicious, fresh, and flavorful. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and Rita was very friendly and welcoming. She confirmed that all the meats are halal except for the sujuk, which we appreciated. Service was swift! Sofra Taverna has only been open for about 4 months and is a great spot if you're looking to try something different. The desserts, including the baklava, looked amazing, but we were too full to try them this time. We'll definitely be back!

So grateful that my husband found this cozy spot in Summerlin! We were blown away by the delicious food and welcoming service. We ordered the hummus dip appetizer to start which was so yummy. The bread that accompanied the dip was warm and fresh. For our mains, we went with the Sofrah Mix Grill and Gullash. Both options were phenomenal. We were literally scraping our plates to finish every last drop. Afterwards, we ordered a few different baklavas. All of them were crisp, tasty, and not overly sweet. My husband also loved the Turkish coffee! We are so excited to come back and enjoy more homemade Albanian food! Also - everything is halal which makes my Muslim heart happy. I hope that more people get to try this hidden gem!

Truth be told was very skeptical going in since this spot was highly regarded and recommended by my cousin but had to try? Right off the bat loved the round tables and overall layout with corner booth tables. Decor was very modern with subtle Albanian/Turkish touches? Very welcoming and pleasant surprise for a small strip mall brick and mortar? Another delightful surprise was this is definitely Albanian or Balkan (Mediterranean) I've never experienced so had to look it up.... Albanian food is a rich blend of Mediterranean, Turkish, and Balkan influences, emphasizing fresh vegetables, olive oil, dairy, and grilled meats!! I had the Sofra mixed grill plate w/double salad and the beef kofta was ridiculously juicy moist tender and absolutely delicious!!! I could definitely have just a plate of that all day!! I also tried the Mediterranean burger and suggest everyone to try!!! Keep in mind the patty is an 80-20 combo of beef and lamb so very uncommon but absolutely should be added to every patty combo!!! Juicy lean tender and absolutely delicious!!! The hidden secret gem was the pickled house made slaw and the house made bread!!! Highly recommended!!! Staff were so patient, informative and attentive!! Please go support this local family owned and operated neighborhood business !!!

Best hidden gem! My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out where to eat that was near us. Found on yelp with 4.8 stars. We decided to check it out. WOW! The ambience was beautiful. Lovely owner and her family I believe was sitting in the corner. All greeted with smiles and a warm hello. The place was empty and honestly don't know why! Because I believe my boyfriend and I found our go to spot here in the southwest! I wanted to gate keep but they definitely deserve to get recognition. Anyways I also don't write many reviews but I couldn't believe how delicious everything we ordered was. And... we ordered to go. Our order: Chicken shawarma Sofra Kabob (I got steak) And Pizza (chicken shawarma) We asked the toppings for the pizza & my boyfriend and I don't eat pork so pepperoni couldn't be an option. The owner I believe, suggested chicken and how it's not yet on the menu and that it would be similar to the chicken shawarma (I hope I'm not mistaken with the culture) but it was incredible! The smell of the fresh bread and I don't know if there's olive oil but I could taste the quality of oil and love you put. Literally you could smell ALL the ingredients on that pizza. The chicken shawarma my go to along with pizza The kabob and pilaf with veggies the pilaf was also nostalgic definitely so fresh! The fresh flowers on the tables and little details is well thought out. Again you'll be seeing us very soon! Definitely recommending to my friends & family! Thank you for being SO hospitable! Can't wait to try everything else on the menu!

Came here a couple of times and the place is great! The owner and staff are very accommodating and the food is great! Amazing place to find some cevapi with beef and lamb mix. Definitely coming back again and again!

My first time recording I ate here. I love this place and Rita (owner) is so nice. The food was amazing and she introduced a new breakfast/dessert dish. Looks likes donuts holes but they are so light. You eat with feta cheese and maple syrup. OMFG so good! Come by if you want quality food with a great staff!

    Gullash, with mash potatoes.
    Leo J.

The food is so fresh, just like homemade, Rita the owner bakes her own bread for the Gullash. The relaxing atmosphere, looking at the mountains, just takes you to another place. The service is just what you expect it to be.

What to say about this place!!? It was more than a…read morerestaurant, it was a whole experience! From the moment we walked in and were greeted, with a Happy Birthday, to being seated in a secluded corner next to a little water feature that added extra ambiance! Our server immediately came over and greeted us with a bowl and warm flowery water to rinse our hands. He explained how the courses worked, and asked if we'd like cocktails- we had the white wine seasonal sangria and it was delicious! Fresh and fruity! The dancers came out before our first course and the music was really loud- like thumping my seat loud... probably the only thing I would have like done differently. The first course came out and it was shrimp scampi with homemade bread - the shrimp was enough to serve at least 3 people- and it was tasty with lots of flavor! The next course was a lentil soup , served in a bowl with no utensils, and we were told to drink out of the bowl. This was also very flavorful! It was filling so I only took a couple sips of mine to leave room for the food to come! The next course they brought out was a tower of Hummus Baba Ghannouj Moroccan style olives, cucumbers & carrots, along with crispy pita Next was the Beef Kabob served on a skewer stabbed in a pineapple with dry ice for a spectacular presentation. The meat was so tender you could cut it with the fork! It was so much food it could have fed our family of 4, but it was just me and my husband! The last savory food item was the Moroccan Couscous & Chicken Platter- this chicken was so tender it fell off the bone when I picked it up with my fork- it was deliciously flavorful with middle eastern spices!! And the couscous were cooked perfectly! Lastly, they brought out a desert along with tambourines and drums and bright lights and sang a happy birthday song to me! The cake was not my favorite- but it was cute with a design on top It was a Moroccan pastry stuffed with bananas, nuts & chocolate topped with powdered sugar & cinnamon. They served it along with a sweet hot delicious mint tea! The dancers came out about every 20-30 minutes and they were beautiful and interactive with the crowd, asking diners if they'd like to get up and belly dance with them.... It was very fun to watch! We had a wonderful time, we would definitely go back! Next time on an empty stomach, and with the ability to take our leftovers home!! Highly recommend!!!

The sounds, the smells, the atmosphere were all beautiful. We were seated and the first thing they do is bring over a beautiful basin to wash our hands in. They poured rosewater over our hands. Such a beautiful experience. They had a pre fixe menu and everything sounded so wonderful. We started with the shrimp, scampi and bread. The shrimp was buttery and garlicky and delicious. And the bread was a big fluffy loaf of delicious deliciously baked bread. We used the bread to sop up the juices from the scampi. Next team, the lentil soup. I've always loved lentil soup, and this was next level soup. So tasty so intriguing the different flavors. Next came the tower of dips and spreads. I've never been a fan of baba ghanoush. But I tried this one and now I am a fan. The baba ghanoush and the Greek yogurt and the hummus and the garlic spread. We're all so beautiful. And the pickled vegetables were amazing. I've never had a carrot pickled like that. It was so juicy and tasty. Next came our entrée of beef kebabs, and chicken. The presentation was beautiful. The kebabs were in a pineapple. The chicken was tender and juicy and succulent. The beef kebabs were tender and juicy. Then dessert came out. A beautiful banana dessert. And they even sing happy birthday to my boyfriend. The atmosphere and ambience are wonderful. They have dancers come out about every 30 minutes. It was amazing. I will be back.

This review is for Las Vegas Restaurant Week…read more This restaurant week set meal was truly amazing. It's been a long time since I've been wowed by a restaurant. I highly recommend everyone try their lunch. The price is incredibly reasonable, and the food quality is top-notch! For an appetizer, a whole fish entree, and a dessert, the Restaurant Week special is only 40 bucks! Even if you can't make it out to taste the food during Restaurant Week, their usual lunch prix fixe (with the same dishes) is only 45 bucks. Compared to the Mayfair Supper Club I just went to, this place handles their fish remarkably well. It perfectly retained the tenderness and juiciness of the fish, and the skin and edges had a bit of charred, fire-roasted aroma. It left me thinking with great satisfaction: this is exactly how fish should be prepared--simple! The octopus appetizer was also incredibly tender with absolutely no fishy taste. The kitchen's grilling technique and heat control are just exceptionally well-handled. I also quite liked their dessert, Greek yogurt and candied orange peel. I think using orange peel has an advantage: even though it's been candied, it still retains the natural bitterness of the peel, so it's not overly sweet. Speaking of olive oil, the olive oil at this place deserves a shout-out too. It has a very strong grassy aroma and a distinct, pleasant bitterness with a sweet aftertaste. We also added an order of their signature appetizer, which is thinly sliced zucchini and eggplant fried and stacked into a tower. It was seriously so crispy and delicious!!! And very eye-catching! This dish is great for sharing, though it did get a little greasy toward the end, since it is fried after all. This single appetizer costs a whopping 41 bucks! It's even more expensive than the Restaurant Week set menu! But it's super eye-catching and tastes great! Oh well, let them have my money.

Great Greek Hamburger, But Spanakopita? Opa, No!…read more Review: So The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill popped up practically in my backyard--right there next to Whole Foods on Sahara and Town Center. How could I not try it? Now, I'll be honest: my favorite Greek spot is Meráki, and when we go there, we're known for ordering--wait for it--a hamburger. Yes, a Greek hamburger! Meráki's is amazing, and turns out, The Great Greek's burger is also a flavor bomb. Whatever Greek seasoning magic they sprinkle on that meat patty gives it a char-grilled punch that hits the spot. We rounded out our takeout with a Greek salad--nothing groundbreaking, but fresh, crisp, and just what you'd expect. The Greek rice? Meh, a bit underwhelming--fine, but won't be stealing the show at any Greek wedding. Now, the spanakopita... oof. Imagine one giant puff pastry with not much spinach or feta flavor--it was a one-and-done situation. Service-wise, it's a fast-casual setup: order at the counter, grab a seat if you like, but it's not aiming for ambiance. Think more quick bite than Mediterranean getaway. Overall, would I return? Probably not when Meráki is just 10 minutes down the road. But if I'm craving that Greek burger and I'm in a pinch, well... I know where to go!
