I drive by Effin Egg when I'm in the area and looked it up and added it to my list of places to try. We stopped in on a Saturday morning for breakfast. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. It's a causal place where you order at the counter and grab an open seat and they bring your order to you. There isn't a lot of seating as it's a small space, but we were lucky enough to find an open table to eat at. We ordered a brisket breakfast burrito and a steak breakfast burrito. They were cooked fresh to order and the portions were generous. The salsa and effin sauce were really good. They have an extensive menu that includes burritos, sandwiches, sweets like waffles and sides. They also have a great selection of coffee, lattes, and other beverages. The food was really good and we were happy with our selections. The service from the staff was friendly and you can tell they enjoy working there and providing great service and food. They had a pretty extensive menu, but I was in the mood for a breakfast sandwich, so I opted for the barbecue brisket and bacon sandwich. Let me tell you something, I would eat the sandwich every single day if I could. It was that amazing! My girlfriend opted for the CEO which was a really good basic breakfast sandwich. They also came with sauces that were paired perfectly to the sandwich, you definitely want to check those out as they are made fresh in store everyday. We've only ordered pickup from Effin Egg so far, so this review is based solely on that experience; not dine-in. We shared the Naked Tots that were crisped to perfection and came with a succulent spicy aioli sauce. I also tried The CEO breakfast sandwich since it's vegetarian and sounded delicious. (I'm not vegetarian but do try to reduce my meat intake.) This sandwich was messy as heck, but SO splendidly saucy, spicy, and just plain divine. I took a couple bites of my son's Boring Burrito. It wasn't that boring, but greatly reduced the kick that our items had with them. That's perfect for my picky son. My observations with Effin Egg is they value quality over quantity, and strong, creative flavors over traditional favorites. Love that! I've been watching this place go through the opening process via their social media account. I've never been to an Effin Egg but the menu has a good variety of breakfast burritos and sandwiches, with sweet and savory side options and a few heartier lunch dishes. This location has a cute Alice in Wonderland theme, painted by a local artist. The space is clean, menu is easy to understand, and they do some specials so check for signs at the register - we ordered the Jax's sausage breakfast sandwich, Javier's breakfast burrito (with bacon), the loaded brisket totchos and an iced chai. The above came to about $50 with tax and tip, but we were full enough that it was basically breakfast and lunch combined. The flavors here were good, they seem to make their sauces in house and the Effin sauce and house "Gringo" salsa were both pretty good. My husband commented that the sandwich seemed to have a lot going on. I was surprised the soft Martin's potato bun held up as well as it did. The burrito was tasty but on the smaller side for the $10 price compared to others around the city with similar ingredients. The tots were a highlight, good portion size, really liked the queso in the bottom ( you can also get this as a side for dipping, to add to other menu items). My husband downed his chai before our food even came out, and they were pretty fast. Service was friendly and upbeat, and checked on us a few times. They did not seem to have any high chairs or booster seats, which might be good to add for families. About half of their business seemed to be takeout, you can call ahead if you're in a hurry. Mixed bag on this one. Feels like this place has potential. Greeted by two friendly workers when we walked in. Menu seems...a bit large. To add to that I ordered the chicken sandwich, and it seems like they just used the chicken fingers on a bun. Sauce was good but the chicken seemed like it came from frozen rather than made to order. I love that she's a veteran and that they give discounts to military and first responders which is a plus I believe it's 10 or 15%. The place is pretty small maybe 15 people max for dining. This spot just open not too long and you guys have to check it out. We tried the Javier's breakfast burrito but you can make it a burrito bowl like my husband did. The owner talked about that they just made a homemade garlic aioli and asked if we wanted to try and trust me y'all want to get some for your tater tot's or breakfast sandwich or burrito. He enjoyed his breakfast. Meanwhile I made and asked a special request for their strawberry cheesecake waffles. And if I can have those waffle instead with my Chicken and waffles. I decided to stay and eat in as there was plenty of seating since there was no one eating in for the most part. The food that came out was very delicious. I wasn't certain I'd like the sauces, so they provided them on the side. The aoli was a little too spicy for my taste, so I'm glad I opted to add them myself. The cheese sauce was my favorite. The cappuccino was good and very temperature hot, so I had to let it cool down a bit before I could drink it. Service was excellent. I didn't take any pictures because I was hungry. Next time! I find often with burritos that folks don't add enough of it but at Effin Egg that isn't the case. There's flavorful sauce throughout the burrito. Heidi helped ring us up and even made it a point to ask what our names are which I thought was really nice and personable. She even got to know the people that ordered after us, you can tell she really wants to make it a good experience for you.
