Lovely restaurant on the Strip, next to the Paris resort. As you walk up the steps the host is there to take you inside the restaurant. Very nicely laid out tables on the patio and inside, where there is also seating with long banquettes and tables can be put together for larger groups. The service was good and attentive, refilling glasses and bringing silverware as needed. The pizza is what the restaurant prides itself on: I am sorry to say the pizza I ordered - the Tartufo with wild truffle, mushrooms, arugula, pecorino - had soggy dough, which needed to be in the oven a few minutes more. The flavor was perfect and good, but the stretchy dough was definitely not up to my standards as an Italian from Milano. The breakfast Grilled Banana Bread shared as an appetizer was amazingly good! I could have had more, for sure. My partner had the Billionaire Benedict with lobster and filet mignon accompanied by focaccia:he said it was delicious! The food was just okay, but the service was disappointing. Our waitress barely checked on us throughout the meal. What really bothered me was that I was asked three different times if we were celebrating something. I clearly told them we were celebrating my daughter's 15th birthday, and despite that, there was no acknowledgment or celebration with the cake and candle. The overall experience left me feeling uncomfortable and, honestly, gave me a vibe that made me question whether I was being treated differently because I'm African American. The restaurant itself is very nice and service started out good (more in that later) This is great for people that don't really like breakfast as they have lunch items. I ordered the French dip and wife got the club. Both got fries. Friends got club as well. The sandwiches and fries were all really solid. We all enjoyed them. As for the food I will say it's a 4. Service started as a 4. Service dropped when we asked why there was a $6 fee added. The waiter became visibly angry as soon as I asked what it was for. I muttered something about cost since on strip and in a very irritated voice said he would take it off. When he came back he asked if we wanted a printed copy I said sure. Still irritated since I asked about the fee he quickly blurted out I'll go get one. I informed him not to worry about it and he again blurted something out and walked away. He came back very quickly with the printed bill put it on the table and walked off. For a place that touts being more upscale do better and treat you customers better. Also be upfront with fees and just add it to cost of food. (Which I'm sure they already do this is just another attempt to get more out of you). read more

5 Stars -- The Colossal Bloody Mary Was Out of This World! We visited Alexxa's at Paris Las Vegas on September 18 at 2:45 PM, and this was easily one of the highlights of our Vegas trip. The Colossal Bloody Mary was absolutely out of this world. You really have to see it in person to appreciate it. This is not just a Bloody Mary -- it is practically a meal by itself. The presentation was incredible, loaded with that huge crab leg, bacon, vegetables, peppers, celery and all the extras. The Bloody Mary itself was flavorful and well balanced, and every time I looked at it there seemed to be something else to try. Definitely one of those Vegas experiences that makes you pull out your phone and start taking pictures as soon as it hits the table. The shrimp and grits were excellent. The grits were creamy and rich, topped with large, beautifully seasoned shrimp, bacon and roasted tomatoes. Everything worked together without one flavor overpowering the other. The omelet was also impressive -- huge, fluffy and perfectly cooked, with a generous amount of filling and a rich sauce over the top. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and well seasoned, making the entire plate feel like a true Vegas brunch. Our server -- I believe her name was Lucy -- was excellent. She was friendly, attentive and kept checking back on us throughout the meal without making us feel rushed. That level of service really added to the experience. Between the atmosphere, the food, the service and especially that unforgettable Colossal Bloody Mary, Alexxa's delivered exactly the kind of brunch experience we were looking for in Las Vegas. We went on a Saturday around 1 PM with no reservation, and the place was packed! We were initially told there would be about a 30-minute wait, but we were seated in less than 10 minutes, which was a great surprise. I loved the menu and ordered the crab omelet--it was absolutely amazing! The pineapple mimosas were also really good. I noticed they had several specialty drinks on the menu, although I didn't get a chance to try one. Because it was so crowded, the noise level was definitely high, but honestly, it was brunch in Vegas, so who cares? The music was great, and the overall atmosphere was fun and lively. Our server did take a little while to initially come over, but once things got going, the service was good. The person bringing out the water and coffee was especially on top of everything! I also really appreciated that the server checked on a food modification I requested and was quick to take my food back to make sure it was corrected. We came to Alexxas's around the time they opened, without realizing, and the restaurant was empty inside while the outside was packed! I was so confused why it was so empty until I realized we came literally at the time they opened. It then started picking up and I saw multiple people coming and getting sat inside. My friend got an iced coffee with vanilla and then found out they had matcha, so she got their iced matcha and loved it! We both got the chicken and waffles and it was tasty. The chicken came out crispy and the waffles were so warm. I give it a solid 8/10. They have a house made specialty syrup with these and that was deliciousss. The chicken and waffles also come with a spicy sauce but we asked for that on the side. I tried it and didn't want to add it to my food but it normally comes on top. The atmosphere and environment of the restaurant was beautiful. It's right on the strip and their outside patio has wonderful strip views. If it wasn't a bit chilly we would've sat outside. The balloon bread and crispy Brussels sprouts were the highlights of the meal for me. The branzino was also very good. The biggest disappointment was the oysters. The oyster meat was extremely small, and when we pointed it out to our server, she agreed. I'm surprised the kitchen would send them out that way. If some are that small, they should at least be balanced with a few larger oysters. I would not order them again. My cousin wasn't particularly impressed with her Wagyu burger, although I have to admit it looked delicious. The crispy potatoes were another letdown. I expected them to be crispy throughout, but only parts of them were crisp while the rest were soft. We asked Janet if that was intentional, and she said that's how they're prepared. Personally, I think crispy potatoes should actually be crispy all over. One thing that caught us off guard was a $10.79 CNF fee that was automatically added to our bill. We were not informed of it beforehand, which was disappointing, and required by law. A heads-up from the restaurant would have been appreciated.
