Delicious breakfast and OJ, super friendly service and very attentive. Great local spot for breakfast or lunch.

Kids Kid's Spaghetti

Needed to find a quick lunch option in the neighborhood and found Sunrise Grill. We tend to gravitate towards the mom & pop family restaurants instead of the larger chains due to pricing and variety of food offered, so whenever there is one in the area we are at, that would be the easy choice when playing Russian Roulette in terms of restaurant selections. None of the lunch options appealed to me as they were mostly burgers and sandwiches so I chose to go with a breakfast skillet. I ordered the bacon skillet which came with mushrooms, onions, potatoes and an egg, and was surprised to find brocolli all over my skillet. I don't remember reading in the menu details that broccoli was an ingredient but I still went with it. No point in wasting food. The skillet did no have any bacon in it that I can taste but maybe because the brocolli was overpowering the taste of the bacon. There was a lot of broccoli in that skillet and I must admit that I guess I should have said something before I dove right in. My younger daughter seemed to enjoy her spaghetti though and the portion was large enough that we were able to take half of it home. Older daughter finished her grilled cheese and didn't really hear of any complaints. Hubbys meal, not picture here, was the quesadilla platter. He said it was pretty bland but I could neither deny nor confirm as I did not have a bite of it. Our server was pretty attentive but a little bit of a language barrier there which is probably what caused broccoli to be in my skillet. The whole restaurant is small but there are enough tables and booths available on a Saturday afternoon to seat the locals that come in.

Stopped in here before hitting the road. Food was great and service was friendly and fast! Great local place to eat. The chilaquiles were great a bit spicy for me but good. Definitely recommend.

Arrived at Chicago Ohare Airport early morning and looked up local eats and this diner popped up. This diner did not disappoint! Service was friendly and fast. The ambiance was very family friendly. We were a party of 8 and we all order coffee or juice and our meal..We paid $132.00 which was amazing for the amount of food each meal came with. My omelet was extremely big but satisfying. We all left super full and satisfied. I would definitely go back for breakfast and to try their other items.

Chicken and Waffles w added Whipped cream

Lovely little restaurant w quick and efficient service. It has a nice welcoming environment w a friendly greeting from the folks working there. We were a party of 7 in need of some fuel. They have a sizeable menu and I tend to get pretty overwhelmed w options, so I gravitate to what I know I like, so for lunch, a little bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich w a crispy coke will do just fine! Prices were extremely reasonable! A+ place.

Some generous and very reasonably priced lunch selections for our party of 6.

It's been a while, but I returned here as part of our men's club lunch group and this place is a candidate to be the standing host venue. I'll go with 4.5 rounded up to 5 stars for my lunch today. The menu is huge here as are the serving sizes and the prices are very reasonable. In fact, they may possibly have the best value menu in our general area! I had their meat lovers omelette for $11 and that's a 4 egg omelette with two big pancakes and hash browns. Service was quick and efficient. The dining space is airy and comfortable though it is dated. Parking at lunch time was easy in their smallish strip mall parking lot, but do make sure to park in spots allowed for Sunrise Grill only, as the other presumably annoyed strip mall businesses do have the towing readily enforced I'm told. There is also some parking in the rear alley though you'll have to walk back around the building. Thumbs up for this good old school diner!

Graduation dinner

I would like to thank everyone working at sunrise grill thanks for making my graduation memorable and the food is top tier. Everything was well cooked and this restaurant has very good meal options my personal favorite is the chicken parmesan. Also huge thanks to Jose for making this night unforgettable and i hope nothing but the best for everyone working there.

I ventured here after getting off work in the morning. This is a breakfast value spot with great menu prices. There is definitely a diner/grill feel to this place. I was seated at a booth and was offered coffee and drinks before ordering. I ordered an omelette, hash browns, and pancakes and they came out right away. I did enjoy the food, however it was a standard affair. After eating I did chill at the booth for awhile without worrying about being rushed out. I'm feeling 4 stars due to a solid breakfast at a decent price in a relaxed atmosphere.

Sunrise Grill should be everyone's go-to neighborhood restaurant! The food is consistently delicious, and you can always count on Chef Jose to cook up something special. Sylvia is so welcoming, and her team provides wonderful service every visit. Make sure to ask about the daily specials--you never know what gem they're offering that day!

Wow what a great restaurant. We have been there twice and all of our meals have been amazing. The chicken marsala was delicious and so was my beet salad with chicken. My husband said their steak razor were one of the best he has ever had. He also has a patty melt and said it was very good.

Awesome place !

I wish the service was better at this place because it's so close to our house and the food is good. Service is ALWAYS awful.

I'd heard good things about the place and knew that this is the place where Triple Scooped (in Park Ridge) gets their ice cream, so wanted to try it out. I actually think that Triple Scooped tends to have a better selection of ice creams--or rather, a larger variety to choose from when I've been there. But they have flavors at Cap's that I've never seen at another shop. They had a flavor called melted butter fudge that was really excellent! They apparently close for the season, in October, so my next visit won't be until spring. There's a little park next to the building that provides the perfect space to eat your ice cream. I'm not sure if it's accessible--there are several steps, and it may simply be that I missed seeing the ramp. There's some parking along Pine here, and perhaps other streets in the area.

They let you sample before purchase and offer single or double scoops via cup or cone. I got the single scoop of Sea Salt Caramel with Pretzels but also tried the Cardamom Orange Graham Cracker. The ice cream was so good and rich in flavor. My friend also got a double scoop and thoroughly enjoyed hers. Pricing was fair for the freshness and quality. I loved this shop and would certainly come back!

This cute little café is at the corner of Northwest Highway and Evergreen Avenue in Arlington…read moreHeights. I missed it, it blended in well enough, but was able to find easy parking to pop in. Their galaxy lemonade was really good; the employee described it as orange flavored lemonade, but I'm not sure I tasted much orange. But regardless, it was good. I think they are Filipino-owned, and as with some of the other filipino owned cafes I've been to they had some creative (and delicious!) options on their menu. There's not a ton of seating, but it's worth stopping in to go. There may be a metro station right across the street--I know there's tracks, but I'm not sure exactly where the station is. There's street parking as well.
