Left disappointed. Came here this weekend and got two teas. For myself, I got the mango jasmine tea with lychee jelly. My partner got the wintermelon lemon tea. Both teas were quite bitter and tasted like they had been oversteeped. I got 50% sweetness in mine, which I do for all tea shops that allow sweetness to be modified and Ive never had a bitter tea because of this choice. The wintermelon tea had a burnt popcorn nutty aftertaste that was difficult to tolerate - we have had wintermelon before without this flavor so im not sure what happened. The wintermelon one ended up in the trash. The store itself was a little weird. You pay at the little machines (which is so easy!) and then there is a large open area to just stand. Only a few chairs. So everyone was just standing waiting for tea and then leaving. Ambiance would be SO much better if they added more tables and chairs to make it a place to socialize WITH your tea. read more

How is it I've been to Albertsons/In n Out/Starbucks and never noticed this place? The kiosk was so easy to use. It took a minute to decide what I wanted. I would have loved to try the mochi topping but it wasn't available. Matcha oolong milk tea it is! Since I've never tried jasmine jelly, I went for that as well. It wasn't busy, so it didn't take long for my drink to come out. First swig was refreshing. Next swig with the jelly and even better! Ice and sweetness level was just right and the matcha was the very center of it all (as it should be!) It was exactly what I needed to satisfy that urge. FOOD: Well... drink. Sunright has become one of our go-to boba shops in the South Bay area. I hadn't really found a favorite in the area yet, so we tried a couple different spots but got won over by the Fresh Taro Boba Milk here. The spot is in the same plaza as In-N-Out and there are two automated ordering stations in the front. I like the tablet ordering system, but I did have to help an older person with paying last time since it can be a little confusing. The have a variety of drinks on the menu - the frosties (strawberry, matcha) seem popular as well as the boba milk drinks (brown sugar, taro) Drinks: - Taro Boba Milk - Our fave drink because of the generous amount of fresh taro on the sides and bottom of the drink. It also comes with brown sugar boba. It's not too sweet since it's just milk + taro and the sweetness comes from the boba. - Strawberry Frostie - Very refreshing. It seems like the use fresh strawberries which is cool and there's a light cream in the drink. I feel like they make their drinks look aesthetically pleasing (especially the taro since they have to swirl it around the cup). It usually doesn't take that long to get drinks, but one time our Taro drink took awhile. I think they had to make or somehow get more taro though, so I understand. I appreciate that they seem like they use fresh ingredients, not much artificial flavors. The brown sugar boba is good and you can taste the overall quality. I appreciate the self-order option and while there is typically a line to order at other locations, I don't think I've ever waited to order here. Yes to no lines! I mix it up every time I go but typically stick to the Sunright boba milk tea. The price already includes boba and you can adjust the sweetness and ice levels easily. The boba here is cooked to perfection. It's perfectly chewy and is consistent every time I come. The one knock on Sunright is their loyalty program. Serviced by Toast, you have to download the Toast Takeout app and navigate the app to make sure you are getting credit for your purchases. Finally, Sunright has made its way to the South Bay. Location wise, Sunright is tucked in the back corner of the shopping plaza with plenty of parking. When you order at Sunright, you have the option of the cashier or a self-serve touchscreen. As of 1/6/22, there is only 1 working self-serve touch screen, so ordering may take a while. The times I've been, the cashier is always "closed" so you have to wait to use the touchscreen which is card only. There is a little wait while the workers make your drink, I waited about 15 minutes for 4 drinks. This may be because they are new and still training. Drinks at Sunright are always sweet, and if you prefer them less sweet, 50% of sweet drinks are still sweet. The brown sugar in the boba itself also should be considered as a source of sugar in your beverage! I have tried several drinks from Sunright, but in this review, I will be going over the drinks I ordered at the Gardena Sunright. Strawberry Frosty: 5/5. A strawberry slushy with cream cheese. It is a little different and an unexpected pairing but it is usually very delicious. It is a quite popular drink at Sunright, you can see them have strawberries in cups premade in the fridge. Strawberry Matcha Latte: 1/5. If you're expecting a Boba Guys copy cat latte, this is not it. There is no matcha flavor and no strawberry flavor. There is a hint of a fruit flavor but I couldn't quite pinpoint the strawberry. Pass on this drink. Creme Brûlée Boba Milk: 5/5. This is brown sugar milk with creme brûlée foam & boba. It is pretty thick and rich in flavor. Very sweet so expect that if you get 100%. Brown Sugar Boba Milk: 4/5. It is your classic brown sugar drink. It is also quite sweet. I give the Sunright rating a 3/5 because of the long wait. My family also believes we got stomach issues from a visit to this Sunight. (All had a level of food poison after drinking a milk drink from here). It was just a one time thing but definitely kept us a little hesitant to return. But this could have easily been a one-off. Give Sunright a try, it is a trendy and popular boba spot that is now popping up everywhere! read more

They have pick up parking in the front of the store. Their drinks are on the sweeter side so I would recommend 75% to even 50% sweetness. I finally got to try this place last week and I was not disappointed! Ordering is very easy as they have self-serve kiosk and someone at the register to help you. This trip we decided to try tea. I went with the sunlight fruit tea and my mom had the grapefruit jasmine tea. Let's just say she wish she had gotten the same one as me! As you wait for your dreams you noticed that they do have a few tables inside or you have the option to wait outside. They do have a pretty good amount of standing room as well. Please note that they DO NOT ACCEPT CASH! Now onto the tea, they were both very refreshing and I love that. There is fresh fruit within both of them but I to have them at that the fruity is a lot better than the grapefruit tea. Then again I am not a fan of grapefruit lol.
