This is my 250th review in my first year on Yelp so this has to be extra special. To begin I'm torn between this place or JA Jiaozi, the rave in OC, but in the end I feel this place is slightly more special. What makes this review even more unique is that I rarely review drink places because I'm not as crazy about drinks unless they contain alcohol. Lol On a serious note, Sunright is definitely RIGHT for me and my kiddos. To quote my 12-year-old girl who started me on Yelp, "daddy, this is definitely a 5-star!" To quote my almost 2-year-old via body language, "daddy, give me some of that sweet water!" He and his mom would probably give this place 6 stars because they actually have a high chair for him-- which I'm sure all babies and their parents appreciate. So far we've had the following drinks here: 1) Sunright boba milk tea, 2) Sunright boba milk tea with grass jelly, 3) taro boba milk, 4) red bean boba milk, and 5) jasmine cheese boba. All of them met the satisfaction of my kids. Maybe jasmine cheese boba came in last on our list but it still exceeded expectation. On a separate note regarding customer service, I spilled my drink while babysitting my little one. And guess what the management did? They replaced the drink for me-- free of charge. Now that's going above and beyond for their customers. Although this place is located in the infill part of a community retail center and very hard to locate for first time visitors, I still highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good drink and good service without the excruciating wait at some lesser quality drink places. We just finished dinner and wanted to get some boba afterwards so luckily Sunright was open til 10 pm so we didn't have to rush over before closing time. I found I like Sunright's mango milk tea more than their fruit teas so I stuck with that order, at 50% sweet and easy ice. Their normal size is 22 oz. I asked if they can make the drink and pour it in my reusable tumbler and they were good with that, so I appreciate them supporting sustainability efforts! Drink was very refreshing and I enjoyed the bits of mango in my drink. It was late at night, otherwise I would've added some boba to my order. Plenty of parking in the plaza. I wish I lived closer to this place! It's located in a plaza with a few Korean restaurants and parking isn't bad at all. The shop is quite spacious but there's not that much seating. I think they could better use the space with adding more tables/seating for the customers. All the workers were very friendly and helpful. Everything on the menu looked so delicious, but I finally decided on trying the oreo brulee boba milk and the grapefruit jasmine tea. Both of these options tasted high quality and delicious! My only complaint is that I felt half my drink was boba and the boba was kind of on the mushy side, so it would be nice if they had less boba in there so I could enjoy the drink more. read more

Considering the size of their drinks, it's well worth the price. I particularly like the Fruit Tea because it has chunks of fresh fruit, and at 25% sweetness, it is still rather sweet but not overwhelmingly so. It has a nice and refreshing passion fruit taste. I am used to going to Sunright Tea Studio in Chino Hills and Rowland Heights since this Tea Studio is always busy. However, their drinks never disappointment compared to neighboring places. Sunright is doing milk tea right. Parking in this plaza is a real pain and that's the only downside about coming to Sunright Tea Studio. There are a lot of little restaurants and shops in the plaza but not enough parking for everyone. It took several times circling around to finally hunt someone down who was leaving. They have several different drink options here from milk tea to fruit teas. Since it was my first time here, I decided to try their classic Sunright milk tea with honey boba. I adjusted mine to 25% sweetness with regular ice. This milk tea was amazing. As a tea lover, you really get the flavor of the tea without it being masked by the milk. The consistency is well blended and mixed making every sip very smooth. The honey boba is cooked to perfection with the right consistency - the bit of chew and enough softness. They don't skimp on the amount of boba they give you either. 25% sweetness was the perfect adjustment for the sugar level. They really respected it and this ensured that the drink was sweet enough, but not achingly sweet. It's cute and quaint on the inside, and the decor is cute. It's a nice place to enjoy your drink. The workers here are friendly as well. Would recommend this place for the quality if you're able to find parking or are patient enough to wait. read more

With boba shops opening left right and center, it can be a challenge to stand out as different among so many choices. But I must say, Sunright Tea does it right ;) My hubby and I stopped by on a warm afternoon, and there was quite the line-up inside. The interior has clean lines and a modern feel with a mix of concrete and gold/white elements. I got the Grapefruit Jasmine tea with honey boba (which they recommended over the regular boba as the regular boba goes better with the milk teas) and it was perfect and refreshing! I got it with regular ice and 50% sweet and it was just right -- not overly sweet, made with real grapefruit giving it a bright flavor, and perfectly chewy boba. My hubby got the Sunright Fruit Tea and he loved it too. Yes, it's a little on the pricy but what boba isn't nowadays? I would much rather pay a couple dollars extra for real fruit. Sunright Tea Studio has been on my radar for a little while since I frequent the shopping center. My coworker and I were drawn in by the watermelon drinks, so we came in for our first visit. The shop itself was very Instagram-able with a cute nook in the back that kind of reminds me of a photo booth. For our first times visiting the shop, we did not feel welcomed at all by the staff. Leena took our orders, but we were uncomfortable to ask her questions since she seemed like we were a bother just by being in the store. The drinks did not come out as quick as other Yelpers had mentioned, but the cherry on top was that my coworker's drink was sitting on the counter for a while and nobody bothered to call out the number. Sam (the other employee) made eye contact with us when we were trying to get the attention of either one of them, but proceeded with his daily gossip and ignored us. The watermelon cooler was really refreshing and it was a bonus knowing it was blended with fresh watermelon. There's an option to adjust the sweetness and I would suggest 75% or 50% since there's already a natural sweetness from the fruit. I'd love to come back to try other drinks and hope that it's just an off day for their staff. read more

I was fortunate to attend a yelp event and thats when I was introduced to Sunright Tea studio!! I am sooo glad I did. I had the opportunity to meet the owner and he told us about the future plans of opening 3 more locations which sounds super exciting!! All Yelp elites were gifted a reusable straws for boba and regular drinks along with the cleaning brush. such a beautiful gift. In addition they had different kinds of croissant and cakes. I tasted the exotic cake which was a citrus flavor with mango, it was super delicious!! Ordered a Ceylon milk tea with creme brulee, brown sugar boba and cheese foam. I got regular ice but it seemed to have very little ice. And they forgot to add my cheese foam. When I went to let them know, they just took the drink I had and put very little cheese foam to top off the drink. That was a $1 topping! But the tea is consistent with other Sunright locations. Sunright Tea Studio is a boba place located on the other side of Ding Tea Diamond Bar. They're currently in their soft opening phase right now. They have milk mix drinks, cheese foam, smoothies, coffee, milk teas, and fruit teas. You can have them adjust the sweetness and ice level. They have a variety of toppings you can add which include boba, agar boba, honey boba, pudding, red bean, taro, lychee jelly, grass jelly, and Oreo. Their drinks are served in long sturdy plastic cups. I had the Oreo Brulee Boba Milk. This consisted of Oreo, homemade cream brulee, organic milk, and brown sugar boba. The drink was very rich, creamy, smooth, and milky with lots of Oreo bits. It pretty much tasted like a rich Oreo milkshake but with a smoother liquid consistency and the cream brulee added a nice touch. The boba was sweet, soft on the outside and chewy and gummy in the middle. On a side note, they told me to shake the drink 17 times before drinking it. I don't know why that exact number, but it worked in terms of all the ingredients blending in together! Service was warm and friendly. The drink arrived within a few minutes. Interior was minimalistic. They have clouds hanging from the corner of the place. It wasn't well-ventilated in the place. It smelled a bit bad in there like cleaner mixed with cookies. Because of the smell, I couldn't stay in there for very long. Loved the Oreo Brulee Boba Milk! Service was great! Hopefully they improve the smell in there! Until then, 4 stars it is! I've been here a few times and I always get the same thing. I either get something matcha or the taro frosty. I always know a place is legit when their taro is actual real taro and not the powdered kind. This place offers oat or almond milk for us lactose intolerant folks. They have a bevy of toppings that you can choose from for an extra charge. You can also tweak how sweet you want it and also how much ice you want in it. They have a tablet type thing that you can put in your order on-site or you can order it online through your phone. Their website is pretty straightforward and easy to use. After inputting your order, they tell you approximately how long it will take before your drink is done. They also text you when your drink is ready for pickup. The only complaint that I would have would be the parking is a nightmare during dinner time because there are a lot of other restaurants in the plaza. I always tend to order my drinks during the daytime. Also, I don't think that I've ever seen them wipe the tablet that people put their order in in the store which is why I like to order mine through my phone. Other than that, the workers are friendly and I have not had a negative experience here. It has been trendy recently around the area to have grand-opening tea joints. I am a big fan of boba yet it is extremely rare for any tea studio to make boba with the perfect texture and sweetness. I have tired so many places and only two places have the A + grade boba. Sunright Tea studio is one of the two. Boba is freshly cooked at all times with the perfect texture, softness and sweetness of brown sugar. I LOVE IT. Must have here is their taro milk tea. 98% of the time when you order taro milk tea in any tea studio, you get a fancy purple color milk tea made with taro artificial color powers. Here in Sunright Tea studio, you get the true taro milk tea with the freshly made mashed taro inside your milk tea. It tastes like heavy when you also add the steaming heaven-like boba in your taro milk tea. ( you may get a free topping by checking in yelp) . That would be my number 1 top choice. My number 2 choice would be grapefruit tea with agar boba. This is on the day when you feel like you want to take in less calories than normal and perhaps be a little healthier but choosing the fruit tea and fiber rich agar boba. On top of the drinks, the environment is great too as well. People seem to love the special spot at the back with clouds decoration over your head as the photo spot. There are plenty of seating as well for people to chat, chill or do work with wi fi. I will come back again and again. DEAD ASS I've gone here like 3 days in a row during their soft opening after finding out about Sunright. My initial fear was that it was just going to be one of those overly hyped boba places that have been popping up everywhere. I still can't buy into the whole cheese foam hype, but decided to just give the other drinks a try, especially after reading rave reviews. BEST HOKKAIDO MILK TEA I'VE EVER HAD. The flavor reminds me of the Hokkaido milk tea that Jazz Cat has, but with a much richer and deeper toffee candy flavor. Very creamy and delicious. I could honestly just default to ordering this drink every time I go here. I will personally brave how horrible the parking is just to get this drink! I have also tried their: 1) Panda Milk Tea: -Comes with regular boba and their unique, clear honey boba -Consistency of the boba is just right, not too chewy, slimy, or hard -The boba's flavor was just okay to me, but it worked well with the milk tea by not overpowering -Tastes like a very nicely roasted royal milk tea flavor. 2) Ceylon Milk Tea: -Probably my least favorite of the teas I've gotten. -Not that it's bad but the flavor wasn't as rich or intense as the other drinks. -Very lightly sweet milk tea. 3) Oreo Milk Mix: -Comes with cheese foam, Oreo crumbs, and boba -There's a lot going on with this drink, I remember after getting it, I was clearly instructed to shake it exactly SEVENTEEN times -Not sure why such an exact number, but it did the trick and all the ingredients were mixed in nicely. -When I first ordered it, I had no idea there was cheese foam in it and despite not being a fan of it, it worked nicely with the drink, making it creamier and richer. I could barely taste the sharp cheese-y flavor. -The Oreo crumbs were also nice and crunchy, none of that stale stuff some other boba places leave out and then add in. The inside of the tea studio is also simplistic and aesthetically pleasing. A nice light sign to take photos with, a cute little corner with a little cow/bull? chair, and a full body mirror for selfies with friends or just with your drink! We didn't realize until after we ordered that the honey boba was the crystal boba. I think I would get this with the brown sugar boba next time because texture-wise, brown sugar boba is better than crystal boba. The flavor of the tea itself was not bad, wish it tasted more tea-y, but it's decent. Grapefruit Frostie, no cheese foam (75% sweetness) was really good. I think next time I would order it 50% sweetness because I feel it would bring out more of the tartness in the grapefruit. I didn't expect to like this as much because I thought it was your typical slush - syrup, ice, etc - but it tasted like legit fruit. I always hear people raving about the Mango Frostie, but they didn't have mango that day, so next time hopefully I can try! Parking is super easy to find because it's in a plaza with decent space. I went to grab a classic Ceylon milk tea today, and the drink tasted horrible. The boba wasn't fresh; I believe they used overnight boba, which sucks. It was not soft and chewy but hard to chew. The milk tea tasted very bland, like they didn't add tea bags in their tea. I'm very disappointed as their drinks are not up to standard and consistent across other stores. Been here a lot since the opening and have to say it's one of my favorite spots when I'm in town. Located in the plaza at the corner of Golden Springs/Colima & Lemon and right off the 60 Freeway, this place has a lot to offer for a jam packed plaza. Parking can be crazy at times but if you're in the area or eating a meal nearby, this place is a great spot to continue conversations! They have a lot of offer from cheese teas to lattes to milk teas. I would highly recommend the cheese tea to anyone who likes Happy Lemon! The cheese tea feels higher in quality and tastes better in my opinion than Happy Lemon. New place but definitely recommend to check it out! read more

The owner was kind enough to reach out to me after my less than satisfactory review, so I decided to give Sunright another chance. I came on Saturday night and there were a few people waiting in line ahead of me. They have a kiosk that you can place your order through and then you wait outside. It was well set up. Russell made my drinks and was great! He was very friendly and even went so far as to apologize for my previous experience. I ordered the Matcha Brulee Latte with Oat Milk and the Sunright Boba Milk Tea. The drinks were both great. My favorite was the Sunright Boba Milk Tea. I've experienced Sunright Tea in various places; however, was disappointed with my visit to this location. Considering that Sunright is a relatively large chain, I expect the establishment to employ enough workers to keep up with the possible massive influx of customers. That is not the case with this location. I could see the impatience and frustration by other customers, with constant inquiries regarding when they would receive their drink. There appears to be three baristas making drinks for about 40-50 people. I understand that Sunright is a great place for boba, yet I would encourage management to improve customer service. Customers want to receive their drinks in a timely fashion, and if they do need to wait it would be nice to wait in suitable conditions. The AC ceases to exist or is not adequate in this branch. Even more disappointing, I was waiting for my drinks and saw what looked like my order sit on the table for a while. It took the baristas about five minutes to call my name after my drinks were made. Another guy next to me asked the baristas if we were supposed to be grabbing our own drinks because the workers neglected to serve customers directly after the drinks were made. Long story short, no one wants to wait 45 minutes to an hour for boba, especially when Ding Tea is next door. read more
