Came here after a going to a concert the night before and it hit the spot. We sat at the bar which had some pretty bright lights, but it was great being right by the staff. Our waitress was really sweet! I started with a cold brew which was really tasty, and then moved to their regular coffee which was also great! My girlfriend and I split the cinnamon rolls pancakes and the loaded hash browns. Both were top notch and the gravy on the hash browns was perfectly peppery adding a little kick which was great. Haven't been here in a while. Nicely updated decor with really cool lighting. Just know you might have to wait a couple minutes for a table. But it is well worth the wait. There were just two of us but a table of eight came in and they were seated pretty quickly as well. Kylee was at our table offering juices and coffee right away and with a great smile. It wasn't long before she was back with the drinks and we were ready to order. The loaded hash brown breakfast was really filling and really tasty. Most of the time I need a hot sauce to give these types of dishes some flavor. Not this one. My wife got the pancakes (way too many to eat so I of course offered to help). Stopped by with a group of friends on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty busy but luckily we got a table right away. The service was solid - they were friendly. I ordered the Loaded Hash Browns and Sweet Cream Cold Brew. I wasn't very impressed by the flavors of my dish. The cold brew was good though. The portion sizes was really good and the servers was PERFECT. The restaurant was very clean and well put together. This is like an older crowd closer to retirement restaurant. The price was $$ I paid $50+ for two breakfast meals. The food was absolutely beautiful but the taste just wasn't there. I ordered eggs with cheese, bacon, hashbrowns and banana foster pancakes. Egg was definitely a liquid mixture not fresh. Not sure what they were cooked with but definitely OILY and tasteless even with the cheese. The bacon tasted like low sodium bacon that was wasted off before they cooked it. The pancakes crumbled apart while try to eat them and the were wet and soggy.And were not even going to talk about the hashbrowns just trash them ASAP. I typically do not write a review, positive or negative, until it happens more than once. My last visit to Sunny Street was a failure of Service The food was OK, but it's breakfast food and that's hard to screw up It is quite obvious the lack of training that they give their staff Cause as many issues Today I went back in to try it and sat at the counter. I sat there for a few minutes as everybody ran around and finally, I asked for a menu from the cashier, who is standing just a few feet away from me the whole time She had to get the hostess and then the hostess came and said sorry we have paused all food ordering because we're busy This is Sunday and all breakfast places are busy around church time. Again their lack of training has obviously slowed down their ability to serve customers. Sad. I left without breakfast. read more

I agree a remodel would be great. It does give a retirement vibe. Still, this is my favorite place for breakfast while I am visiting Dublin. Avocado toast is simply delicious. Love the fresh pico! Our waitresses have a been great. I can't wait to get back. read more

We did take out from them and they gave us the wrong order. We had to come back and get the order we initially ordered and instead of refunding us the owner sent me a long email claiming that her employee told my son that if they remake the order they will not issue a refund. I was on the call and that was not was communicated, instead she said that the owner is the one that has to issue refunds so she will pass our number on to her. My son went back and instead of them offering fresh fries since the other ones are clearly at home and now cold, the employee gave him an attitude for remaking it. I have never had a company not make it right by refunding the meal for the inconvenience and remaking it. Most Dublin Restaurants understand that it is about the customer and their experience and if the restaurant messed up that is how you make them whole. Instead I got a 4 paragraph email from the owner basically telling me that my son new that he wouldn't get a refund and acting like asking for fresh fries was a crime. So shameful to try and say that my son lied to me about what the employee said even though I was also on the phone and heard the whole conversation and added to it. You would think a local restaurant would want to focus on customer service but clearly instead I got an email lecture despite their screw up. read more

The portion size and value for the price is pretty good. You're not going to get many healthy options but my dish was really good and flavorful. Service was friendly and great. The one star is for the sanitary violations. One of the servers was constantly coughing and rarely covered her mouth or washed her hands. It was a (sorry) wet productive cough and she was over the expedite area, food coming out, restocking and touching everything. The servers were all huddled together chatting and she's coughing away. If your staff and patrons get sick you know patient zero. I saw another server hand wash a water glass, just her fingers and soap and water. I assume there is a sanitizing washer somewhere. The place looks clean and well kept but clearly there are some issues. read more

This place has good food but the experience of coming here stinks if you're under the age of 65. It's a very old crowd, terrible music, the new renovation has somehow made the restaurant less appealing. Management: stop using plastic condiment cups for dine in customers. You're creating a huge amount of senseless waste. People prefer bottles on the table anyways. I'm giving you a one star because of this. read more

The food was meh. I would not reorder the mini egg tacos on the Tex Mex part of the menu. There were 4 specs of cilantro in the tacos and barely any tortilla chips in the tacos, as well. The service was not good. We ordered chicken and waffles, did not get the syrup until most the meal was done. We requested for mayo with a tortilla wrap. Didn't get it and when we mentioned it at the end of the visit with the server she relied to us questioning if we would be charged for something we ordered and didn't get. The server stated in a snarky manner. " ... NO WE DONT CHARGE YOU FOR MAYO.." She didn't acknowledge that she forgot the mayo, but was quick to bark that we would not be charged. I was in between appointments and decided to try this little restaurant. I was greeted immediately with a wonderful fragrance of breakfast and fresh baked biscuits. I was seated quickly and asked if I would like to have a cup of coffee. I ordered 1 biscuit with gravy and a bowl of grits. I have to say I haven't had grits as good as those in ages, so creamy and delicious. The gravy was cream gravy and I added some salt and pepper to cut the sweetness, but it was delicious. Milk gravy is my preference, but the cream gravy was great. The biscuits were a huge hit. Big, fluffy, buttermilk biscuits perfectly cooked. The restaurant was beautifully bright with white and yellow accents. The waitresses were all extremely attentive. One gentleman came in and she repeated his usual order to him and asked if he wanted that or if he would like something else. One of those days when you don't wanna make breakfast on a weekday . This places along with First Watch always seems to be favorite among Dubliners. Since it was a weekday, place was not as crowded. so it was easy to get a place immediately . Took sometime to make sure what I need. Started with regular coffee so I get my regular caffeine dose to keep me moving. Ordered Avocado toast , scrambled eggs with a side of hash brown . Everything was done to perfection. Excellent breakfast spot in Dublin. Service was fast and friendly. The food was good and the coffee was perfect. Let's be honest... good coffee sets the pace for your day. I opted for the Wildberry Crumble Pancakes. Unfortunately they were out of blueberries. The cakes were good, but I really think the blubes would have been the difference between better than average and fantastic. Overall it's worth a look for a modern breakfast spot in Dublin. I've always loved Sunny Street. This was my first experience with takeout. I was apprehensive of how breakfast would be traveled. For reference, I live 15-20 mins away. Wow! I got the Wild Berry Streusel Pancakes. They were on top of a piece of foil to keep them warm. They give you a cup of syrup, berry jam, berry whipped topping & streusel. Beyond delicious!!! Super impressed. Now I don't know how eggs would be for takeout, but I'm probably being cynical again . I didn't take a pretty picture before I dove in ha! read more

A wonderful little brunch on a day off. They have several strategies to make maximum use of a small space. Tables have been removed, barriers added and the patio door now serves as the a separate exit allowing for one way travel through the establishment. Oddly they do not appear to offer patio dining right now, possibly because of concerns on how it would flow. The food was quite fast and the fruit side that came with one of our entries was the star of the meal. The ability to pay with a QR code is a cool feature, but it was really hard to tell if the payment was completed. Our waitress was so friendly and knowledgeable. read more

Pre-covid it was good, a little pricey, but they used quality ingredients, so i didn't mind paying a little extra.. post covid the ingredients have become cheap, they are under staffed, the place was filthy, and it was expensive. won't go back. read more

I love, Love, LOVE the gluten free French toast. There aren't many restaurants that offer gluten free breads/meals but Sunny Street has what you need. However, although all Sunny Street Cafe's have gluten free bread, not all serve gluten free French toast. I ran in the Arnold Classic in downtown Columbus and craved some French toast. I walked to the Sunny Street not far from the convention center. When I was seated, I didn't bother looking at the menu. When the waitress asked for my order, I was crushed when she said they didn't offer that. I remember just looking at her like she had killed my puppy. I was so disinterested in eating anything they had, I wanted to leave. I did order a gluten free egg sandwich, but didn't finish it. So now I stick to the Sunny Street in Dublin, Oh off of Avery. read more

Best breakfast coffee in the area! I keep forgetting to review this place because it's such a staple. Their food is great. So many healthy and sinful options. If you're watching weight get the protein burrito. It's stuffed with goodness spinach and mushrooms. If you want something heavenly get the Cinnamon pancakes.... literally tastes like a Cinnabon in pancake form. read more

We went to Sunny Street this morning. Unfortunately, the food was not good. I had the Breakfast sandwich which was supposed to be on a brioche bun and it looked like a tiny hamburger bun. My boyfriend ordered Cornbeef Hash with two extra eggs and grits. The grits were inedible and his orange juice had something floating in it. We paid for our food and it was $50 !! We have eaten here many times before and it was always good food and value. We will not be returning. read more

This was a really great breakfast place. When you first walk in there is a case of cookies that welcomes you in and they all look so cute and tempting. I ordered the Sunny Skillet and it was so flavorful! The hash came with pork and a fried egg on top. It was very refreshing to taste all the flavors that were present in the dish. They used their house made hot sauce as well which is always a win in my book! They also had a few things on the menu that sounded interesting to me like some fried chicken breakfast platter and banana pancakes. My husband and I came here on my birthday for breakfast. The menu had a lot of options so it was hard to pick what I really wanted. I was between the pumpkin pancakes they are known for and an omelet and I went with the omelet. The omelet was okay, I think they used egg whites because it tasted like them. Next time, I will definitely go with the pumpkin pancakes! My husband got the eggs benedict because he'd never had them before. He loved the meal. It came with hash browns as well. The price for coffee is a little steep for a cup so next time I'm just ordering water with my meal. I could have used the free coffee coupon you see on the Yelp check in app but my husband didn't want to save money on my birthday, which didn't make any sense to me. We were visiting Columbus and turned to Yelp for breakfast suggestions. So glad this place popped up as one of the closest breakfast spots! This bright, comfortable and cheerful restaurant is obviously a favorite in the neighborhood because there were several people there who seemed to be regulars and given that it was 9 am on a Monday, they had what we considered to be a pretty good crowd. Our amazing server told us it was actually a smaller crowd than usual Impressive! The friendly and efficient staff are very welcoming and we felt instantly at home there. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town. The breakfasts were hearty and delicious and they had a great number of options without being too overwhelming. My son and I both ordered pancakes and they are no joke! Absolutely delicious, but HUGE! We barely made it through half, so I'd recommend splitting an order of pancakes with a friend and maybe getting some eggs or fruit to go with them. read more

Service was quick and staff was friendly - food was average. Hash browns were undercooked minus the top layer which was the crisp you desired. Wait staff didn't really check in and had to ask for coffee refill or water. Seemed like they were rushing to get people in and out. First trip here pre covid was more satisfying.. read more

Decided to go for breakfast at Sunny Street Cafe had an hour or so to kill while our car was being serviced. We were sat in a booth coffee and menus received as soon as we sat down, food order taken, food arrived all within five minutes of arriving. The service at Sunny Street Cafe is amazing! I reached out to the awesome catering manager, Diane, for a last-minute order for our organization and she accommodated so gracefully. Her team was able to create a delicious breakfast buffet with less than 24 hours notice. We were so grateful for her help and our staff absolutely loved the tasty food that her team cooked for us. Established in 2010.

One thing is certain, the Owners not only own, but also operate their Sunny Street Café on Avery...you are sure to find one of them at the restaurant every day of the week! They consider their Café an extension of themselves to the local community. It allows them to help with school fundraisers, local charities, church organizations, and other small businesses. This is more than a restaurant to them; it is a local gathering spot where neighbors, friends, and most importantly, family come together to experience a warm and friendly atmosphere...that just happens to have GREAT food! They urge you to try their Sunny Street Café for yourself and feel like you are back home in Grandma's kitchen; where everyone is treated as if they were coming into their own home.

By the time my dinner was delivered they sent theirs back to get warmed up. The difference in timing was too egregious. It wasn't due to the memorial. The place was hopping but consistent. I want to suspect my dinner was forgotten to be ordered. It wasn't the kitchen as it was too far apart on delivery. No reasons shared why the late delivery. I love context and I'm not unreasonable though the experience was too off and without reasons to understand the why made it an unfortunate experience. Would be open to returning though was a little disappointed with this visit.

It might have had too many onions on it, but they were good and the cheese was nice and melted, but not dripping all over the plate. I brought the Buckeye Pie home and let it get to around room temperature. So much peanut butter and chocolate!!! I can't wait to go again!

Stopped in here after reading Yelp reviews & was not disappointed. There is nothing really special about the menu - pancakes, french toast, omelettes, breakfast burritos, etc... But, that doesn't mean the food wasn't good - it was. I had a veggie omelette with egg whites, which was large & fluffy & good. It came with a side of grits (or fruit or potatoes) and choice of toast. The kids had pancakes & french toast. My husband had the Big breakfast - 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, & 2 pancakes (cannot remember the name of the actual meal - but, it was good & generous portions). Kids meals were $2.99, which is nice - but their juice was $2.29/glass - so, really it all works out to be about the same price as an adult's meal. We recently visited Sunny Street Café for brunch, and it exceeded all of our expectations. We decided to try their famous Hearty Breakfast Combo, and it was absolutely delicious! Great portion sizes, packed with flavor, from the scrambled eggs to the crispy bacon and fluffy pancakes. Our server, Paige, made the experience even more enjoyable. She was humorous, courteous, ensuring we had everything we needed. The entire team makes sure you are welcomed when you arrive and that you leave with smiles on your faces. My husband and I went to Suny Street for the first time on Saturday. He had wrap for lunch but I had to have breakfast. Eggs toast and hot chocolate. Love, love loved it! They have so much on the menu, it is almost hard to decide between all the yummy dishes! We are going back next Saturday to try more. Went here with friends for Father's Day today. We had 3 small kids at our table and the place was obviously super busy. Our server came by while we were waiting for food and gave us little fruit bowls for the kids to keep them happy. Then she brought out their breakfast first as well(was a huge help!!). During a busy period, there was no hostess apparent, forcing us to inquire at the cashier area about seating. They took our contact information, and shortly afterward, our table was ready. We were seated and provided menus, but the wait for a server to take our order was excessively long. It was indicated that coffee was self-serve and that customers should select their own mug. Subsequently, we observed no further service at our table, and the food was delivered by staff members elsewhere. I had to locate condiments independently. After finishing our meal, we returned to the cashier to settle our bill, which was not presented to us. The seating area within the diner is small, which is expected given the establishment's size. One additional concern is parking: the lot accommodates approximately seven vehicles, and street parking in Grandview Heights is limited. This constrains accessibility and could diminish visitors' overall experience in the area. It is hoped that in the future, the service at this establishment will align with the high quality of its cuisine.

The breakfast tacos, supposedly the star of the show, were bland across the board and fell apart almost immediately. Three small tacos for $20 is a tough sell when there's nothing memorable about them. The Nutella pancake balls were decent but forgettable. The real highlight? The bacon, but that's not exactly a high bar. As for the orange juice, it comes pre-made and refrigerated near the register, which felt a little out of place for a spot with this kind of reputation. I genuinely don't understand the hype around the food here. The price point would be justified if the flavors delivered, but they simply don't. The staff were kind and the space is lovely, I just can't recommend making a special trip for the menu.

Sandwich came with an enormous mound of fried potatoes. With a dash of hot sauce, the sandwich was pretty good. Potatoes also were tasty, but way too many for me to eat. Ordinarily I would prefer a local establishment for breakfast, but the location across the street from my hotel was hard to resist. For a family of six, we ordered and didn't wait long before we were all served and licking our chops at all the goodness. Everything was perfect to our liking and further solidified our trust in the excellent service and amazing food. I added a picture of the silverware because I honestly was in awe. It's rare to go to a restaurant now a days with cutlery this clean and sparkly, not a water stain in sight. That fact, was an added touch of appreciation for this place.

The Surf's Up ($12.99) went to the beau: tender, sustainably sourced shrimp sautéed and folded into hand-cracked scrambled eggs with cream cheese and dill. Served with hollandaise, bread, and your choice of a Scramblers side--it was a crowd-pleaser with a little doctoring up when we got home. I went with the Big Country ($13.79)--a layering of giant flaky biscuits, golden hash browns, two eggs, and sausage gravy. Except, I forgot the sausage gravy part might include, well... sausage. I picked it out, but even then, the dish landed kind of flat. Heavy on portions, light on flavor. I had to break out the ketchup, and honestly, it still needed heat. I get it--the flavor runway is probably tailored to their audience dun dun dun..., but still. What made the morning sparkle wasn't the food but the reason: celebrating love and longevity with Kenya G. and her soon-to-arrive little Elite-in-training. 15+ years together?
