Decor & themes make places like this a ton of fun but landing the perfect server is really what makes the experience. I was having a rough day & chose Sunliner to try & make me feel better. Upon walking in I saw two full size car booths & a jukebox. The vibe was exactly what I was looking for. I'm happy to say we got HUNNY as our server & she was the best & she cheered me right up. She was wearing a bright yellow dress & singing along with the jukebox. We talked doo-wop songs & I got recommendations for what to order. I decided on Country Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatos & it did not disappoint. The shakes are also really good & come with a waffle on top. We ended up going back the next day (HUNNY was off) but we still had a nice time. Tried the chicken & waffles & biscuits & gravy this time. There really wasn't anything bad that we tried & if you're lucky, you might get HUNNY & have a 5 Star Experience like we did. Would I return for a third time? YES!

It was super busy but we were seated quick. They have cars that are booths which are fun and oldie music and the servers are dressed in oldie clothing. The food was ok and tasted fine. Our server was nice as well.

We were in a hotel on the same block and did not want to get back in the car after arriving around 8pm. A basic diner menu seemed perfect but the Sunliner was such a pleasant surprise! Such a cute atmosphere and great vibe + good food. I did not expect to be able to get a cocktail and I had a delicious Cosmo! Super friendly, attentive staff on a very busy and rainy Friday night. We were also sat extremely fast despite practically every table being full. Between the hosts, waitress and food runners we were set! If you can save room for dessert do it for me because I didn't and I regret it! Guess I'll have to come back!

We loved this!!! The staff was so welcoming and friendly, it really is iconic. Service was fast. The newspaper menus and vibe inside gave us the Disney world drive in restaurant vibes. The chicken covered in gravy I had was delicious!! The fries were phenomenal. I'm still talking about the chicken the next day, that tells you it was good. * note you need to call ahead and reserve the car table if that's what you want.

Absolutely loved the theming both outside and inside the restaurant. The car tables looked awesome. The "newspaper" menu was such a great idea for the menu. Our server was amazing. Food was great - especially the dessert afterward.

This is a cute little themed 50's style diner. A couple tables are made to look like you're in an older car. We unfortunately came at a time when they were all taken. The food was actually really good - great biscuits and one of the best country fried steaks I've had! You can even order a milkshake with your breakfast if that's your thing. There's a cute little front shop that has candy and toys from years ago for purchase. Definitely worth a visit!

I don't remember what this is but it was good

Well, this place was certainly the bees knees! The food and atmosphere were just the most! Thank goodness this 50's-inspired diner doesn't have the same laws from the 50's, or else this establishment wouldn't have made $100 when my family and I visited! Haha! (This is satire)

Finally got to sit in the pink car!!!! If you're looking for a great diner, you found it! Food is so good! Service is excellent. Atmosphere is lively!

Lovedd the vibes and atmosphere! It really gave diner vines with the old, classic booths, music, and decoration. The food was decently priced considering that it is a high tourist spot and I ordered the patty melt. The food was pretty good, but my patty melt did feel a little dry, which was solved with ketchup so that was fine. I also ordered a milkshake, which I am glad to have tried to really dig into the diner feel, but I would recommend sharing with a friend because it was huge. The employees are super nice! We had a mistake on our order where the wrong side was given and they let us keep it! They were also really nice with accomidating our dietary restrictions and when giving recommendations.

Walking into Sunliner Diner truly feels like stepping back in time. From the moment you walk in, you're transported straight into a 1950's diner experience, full of nostalgic details and classic American diner vibes. Thankfully, we were greeted and seated right away--which was perfect because we were pretty hungry after our drive to Pigeon Forge (hence the lack of food photos!). To start, we ordered the Cookies & Cream milkshakes, and they were outstanding. They were thick, creamy, and honestly big enough to share. For our entrees we both went with burgers. I chose the Classic Burger, which was the perfect size and came with a generous portion of fries. The food was great and exactly what you hope for when visiting a classic diner. What really stood out the most, though, was the atmosphere. The attention to detail throughout the restaurant is impressive. The menu is designed like a 1958 newspaper, filled with fun facts from that time period. The servers are dressed in 1950's attire, and the vintage cars placed inside the diner are absolutely stunning and tie the whole theme together perfectly. Overall, this was a really fun and different dining experience. If you're in Pigeon Forge and want something unique with great food and an amazing retro vibe, Sunliner Diner is definitely worth a visit.

A really cool spot to come for any meal of the day. 50's themed diner and decor with classic cars inside and out. Their menu is a news article which is pretty cool and unique. Many options to choose from. I had the turkey Avocado reuben which was very good. Paired with some fries. I would like come back to try some more items off the menu. Service was good.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing. Parking was hard on a Saturday morning. We had about a 15 minute wait with 6 people. I loved the old school atmosphere. There were two old school classic cars that doubled as tables and a little toy shop at the front of the store. Our server was the best, I cannot remember his name but he was a gem! Started with a wonderful cranberry mimosa! I had a very good corned beef hash with egg plate. But the beauty in the plate was in that classic biscuit. I made sure I had two because the biscuits looked fluffy and well baked. It was the highlight of my meal and the best biscuit I've ever had in my life. It was fresh, hot, light, and fluffy. I cannot wait to go back to Pigeon Forge and dine here again!

Great little place off the busy parkway. My wife and I walked down for dinner (okay, she walked, I…read morerolled). Great Chicken Salad Sandwich and Cher's Salad. Oh, I hate limp, doggy fries, but these were super crispy just like I like 'em...so extra points for that small detail. I usually comment on the wheelchair accessibility of places I review. The FBT wasn't huge, and one might have a bit of difficulty navigating. BUT, the hostess was shap as a tack and seated us in a nice nook where the chair fit with no problem. So I loved that, naturally. I have had some try to seat me in an area where no wheelchair could fit. That was appreciated. Speaking of sharp staff, our server, Brianna, was just super friendly from the get-go, and made us feel right at home. Our order was out to us in a jiff. I recommend highly. I may have to go back for a t-shirt . ( Oh, and check out the homemade ice cream place next door.). Incidentally, as we were leaving to walk back to our hotel, a fierce storm blew up sending us to take shelter under the portico of the near-by LeCinte Center. So...a romantic little mini adventure.

They taste greatz kinda like small mozzarella stick nuggets. We ordered four plate: grilled cheese, plain cheeseburger, buffalo chicken sandwich, and B.E.L.T. (bacon egg, lettuce, tomato). Fries all the way around. They were well-cooked crinkle fries, and well seasoned too. I had the B.E.L.T. which was great. In fact, all of the food was ideal and fresh. Between the flawless, quick food, and cleanliness, and the service I am missing nothing. Kylie was super nice and always there when we needed her. Overall, this place is a winner. Simple menu, all-day breakfast, and convenient location. Definitely worth checking out.

Also, there are only a handful of free parking spaces so your best bet is to use the free trolley or just pay for parking. Also, you have to wait outside, so keep that in mind if it's cold out! The pancakes are delicious and perfectly cooked throughout despite being extra thick. They are fluffy and very fairly priced. Biscuit and gravy was also a great choice. Gravy was creamy and smooth with a hearty biscuit. Biscuit breakfast sandwich was also top notch, with perfect egg and sausage and Biscuit. We ordered a cinnamon roll to go, and while we really liked the super smooth and light icing, we all felt the roll itself was pretty dry and bland (we ate it about 10 minutes after receiving it). That was the only dissapointing piece. Food was served very quickly, impressively so. Service was friendly, but the server only came by to take order and see if we wanted anything else before the check. A very friendly gentleman in a white chef type outfit delivered the food to the table. Restaurant was clean and large with a nice selection of reasonably priced options. They literally have every fast food and chain dining experience on one block, but I didn't know that at the time but I'm tired of road trip Food so wanted to sit down for a good meal! Pulling into the parking lot and I was overwhelmed because it was huge and very crowded! We go to the desk and they tell us 25 minutes. This place was huge and very accommodating, they were getting people to their tables fast! We noticed two empty seats at the bar, so we opted to take them and had the pleasure of being served by Robert. He was attentive, made sure our waters were always full. He gave recommendations on his favorite dishes and was all around a great bartender! The guy working the other end of the bar was equally as professional. The ambience is a dark cool vibe, little trendy but people were dressed pretty casually! Answer the most important thing...The food! For an app, we got the beer, cheese fondue that came with apples, bread and pretzels. The beer cheese had a little bit of ooomph to it, which was refreshing because usually I'm not a big mustard person. The pretzel bites were incredible crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The apples were fresh all around the appetizer for 3 to 4 people so we took extra home. I ordered the 10 ounce sirloin cooked, medium with the web sweet potatoes and a side Caesar salad for a three dollar charge which ended up being a full-size salad! It was super fresh and gigantic for a side salad. The steak was cooked perfectly, in the middle with an insane sear. Their house, butter that they put on it truly elevated the flavor profile. I tried the sweet potatoes mashed and they were enjoyable, but I do not enjoy a sweet side with my food so I knew I was going to donate them to my husband and he said they were incredible, the flavor was definitely there just not my cup of tea, but I knew that from the beginning . He got the Caesar salad with grilled chicken! It had so much flavor and tastes incredible but yet melted in your mouth it was the most tender chicken I've ever had in my life, and the flavor was all there! Not even the slightest bit of any kind of dryness. One of the best bites of chicken I've ever had.! He ordered the bison meatloaf to go, and that comes with caramelized mashed potatoes and fried onion straws.... It smells incredible and I will update when we try it . * UPDATE: best meatloaf ever!!!
