The manager that I worked with at Clarksburg was named Sandra who was terribly rude and sarcastic…read more I could definitely tell that she thought I was lying about my situation concerning a return/refund because there was a receipt issue that was no fault of my own. She gave me a lot of attitude and not even willing to consider any options to help. When I asked for her name and that my only option was to reach out to customer service, all of a sudden she offered one avenue to help as a way to make herself look like she tried. She offered to reach out to the regional manager and explain the situation then get back to me with a response. That was about a week or so ago and still no response to this day. I don't expect or even want a response as that was just a fib to play the manager card and get me to leave. I very recently had another unrelated exchange I wanted to do and unfortunately, Clarksburg location is closest to me. Of course I didn't even want to set foot in that store again but thought this is the most simple return/exchange possible and could not possibly be denied on this one. Luckily, Sandra was not present as I certainly didn't want her help (or lack there of) again. I was greeted by an employee named Chloe who, believe it or not, was possibly worse than Sandra. I showed her the sunglasses and receipt and explained to her what I had in mind. I was completely shocked as she actually denied me and extremely rudely that. She mentioned that because the purchase was made with the two payments of gift card and debit card, that the sale was final and no action could be taken. She called her manager, who of course was Sandra, to explain the situation and it seemed like they just came up with their own return policy on the spot. A policy that stated store credit/gift cards cannot be refunded and since that was a portion of how I paid, the sale was final in their eyes. I was at a loss for words and stated that no business operates like that and I've never heard of such a thing. Her reply was that this is how Clarksburg, MD Sunglass Hut operates and we are our own store and not all stores operate the same. Very odd statement for a big chain company like this to say when they have a corporation that has a pretty umbrella return policy. The famous tactic came back as she mentioned that Sandra can contact the regional manager and get back to me. I told her to not even waste her time as that was proven useless. Getting denied and having to get a regional manager involved for a few day old purchase that used a split payment method? That is definitely a new one for me but apparently not for this store. Chloe also passed the along the issue and said to contact customer service about it. Can zero stars be an option, please?

The man was pretty nice and professional. It literally took him for about 15, 20 minutes to check if there is anything wrong with each glasses. At first, he kept refusing to let me return one of glasses I bought due to the damages (one side higher than another side). He even told me to go to different stores asking for return on that one. But somehow he did let me return both of them at the end. Therefore, be aware if you buy anything from this store and later you decide to return some, they say they have the right to refuse for a return!

Frankly, they didn't get my lenses cut properly, and my vision was compromised. Both pairs of glasses I got from David are stylish, and I see better than ever.
