Feeling disgruntled and calling around, America's Best gave me a same day appointment. Not sure why, but I was expecting low quality from a nationally advertised chain. My expectations were upended. Greeted with professional enthusiasm and the layout is airy, bright, and spacious. My provider was the delightfully droll Dr. Fuss. As men of a certain age and fellow suburban dads I felt comfortable. The exam was thorough and he provided a detailed explanation. Very satisfied and looking forward to returning.

It is ACTUAL service by someone who is a true professional in this field. You will not receive anything close in the chain stores i.e. Lens Crafters etc. The prices are MUCH more affordable, even though the frames and styles will look like you spent twice the amount. They stand by their work and should you have any issues whatsoever, go back right away and they will take care of it immediately. You don't find places like this left. Upon walking in I thought the space of the store was small compared to say Lenscrafters, but after browsing all of the different frames available in the store I was blown away. There are tons of glasses to choose from and the owner of the store was so helpful with helping me select the best frames that work for me. He has so much knowledge about glasses, they way they should fit to ones face, the materials used, the designers, and even the origin the glasses were from. In my opinion other optical stores are blind compared to Tretton Optical's 20/20 vision. I am really excited for my new glasses to come in so I can see more clearly and can start looking for a pair of prescription sunglasses for the spring/summer. There are tons of designer brands available at the store, but I would seriously consider picking out a pair of frames that work best for you. They are able to order frames on-line in different colors and styles if you can't find something you are looking for. They are also able to adjust the shape and size of the lenses if you want a more customized pair of glasses. I've found my local spot for eye-wear so I can see clearly now and hopefully you will be able to too.

It took me most of 4 hours with DMV and Innovision to straighten his mess out which I was charged 39.95 for. Be very weary of upcharges no eye drops during exam 39.95, frames that go just over your insurance coverage out of pocket 20.00, lenses that go just out of your free insurance lenses out of pocket 41.00. Pair of reading glasses and MVA filing their price 517.00 minus insurance still costs me 86.00 out of pocket. Do your homework before you go to this place.

So they let me pick out a pair of frames from a different website, flew them in and put my prescription in for me. That is just... amazing. Their customer service is unparalleled. After a very negative experience with the old place my wife decided to check out Light St Optometry. I'm so glad she did because I just switched to them too. My experience this week at LSO was the first positive eye dr experience I have had since leaving my childhood doc. Immediately when I walked in I was warmly received and all the other interactions continued very pleasantly. The eye exam went smoothly and I got everything I needed. I think what I appreciated the most is that they were not after the hard sell. I asked for clarification on my insurance benefits and they helped me understand my options. While there prices are very reasonable, my perscription had only changed a tiny fraction in a single eye, so I ended up not ordering new glasses. Additionally, without even needing to ask they offered to email me a copy of my perscription. I will be back and will recommend them to anyone in the area. If you are tired of poor/unfriendly service and the constant upselling, it doesn't have to be that way.
