Needless to say, I have returned and am positively delighted. Ernie's store is immaculate and he carries such a great assortment of frames to suit every personality. I chose to stray from my comfort zone and chose a frame that has some spunk and color to it. I had not heard of this brand (MODO) prior to coming in to see Ernie! He selected these frames as I would have never done so myself and helped me come to my final decision. He always makes certain that my lenses are as thin as possible w all the extra coatings for long wear and scratch resistance. He refuses to accept mediocrity when it comes to eyewear and for this reason I have always been happy w my glasses. Ernie is such a wonderful man; he is patient and calm, and never pressures his consumers. He and his brother are such a treat. I also chose to get fitted for contacts here the same day and was very pleased. Working in healthcare myself, I have very high standards for providers. Dr. Bomse and staff are excellent. She never made me feel rushed, answered all of my questions, and had an excellent bedside manner. Her patient rooms are immaculate and spacious. I give this establishment 5 stars on all accounts. I will continue to return for my further eye care needs and will not stray!!! This is truly a family establishment! Thank you Ernie, staff, and Dr. Bomse! Final note, they carry an excellent omega 3 supplement for those that are in search of a convenient and tasty option! Lastly, their prices are very competitive on all fronts!!

I found the Dr who did my eye exam to be extremely thorough and patient. The exam considered lifestyle as well as the technical testing. I also interacted with 4 employees in the store and each was super friendly and thorough and I really enjoyed the assistance from each one. Very very good service. There are a lot of nice frame selections in store. There were a lot of sunglasses options which confused me but apparently clear lens can be put in the frames ( I'm a newbie ). They sell Alain Mikli, Tom Ford, Givenchy, Michael Kors, Vera Bradley , Oliver Peoples to name a few. There are also many lower priced options. They also have really good 30 day policy that allows return of you are not happy with your new glasses. I didn't like the "building" the glasses phase. This is where you customize lenses . Again I'm a newbie but each piece involves a cost and I was not clear on the cost until I got the printout sheet which showed all. There should be a question and verification of each phase and level that you want. Such as what type of coating do you want on lens, transition, Uv protection etc. All in all I really like this business and I will return. Quick update: I actually took advantage of the 30 day return and went back and got another pair of glasses. I didn't like the pair that I originally chose. The new pair came in a week and I love them !!! Quick replacement and I added transition - there were no issues and minimal questions. I just payed the difference since the new frames were higher cost.

Note: it says Ultimate eye wear on the deal, but the store is named Vision Center. SURROUNDING: The store is in a small, very crowded shopping center. He was quick but thorough with my eye exam. PRICE: Most frames range from $160-$250, plastic lens $75, additional $60 or so for polycarbonate lens. Their frames choices aren't that great- they have a lot of simple ones, but not much of the brands. SERVICE: I made an appointment, but had to wait ~15 minutes to be seen.. Also, when I was waiting, I overheard the optician offering to take 50% of her polycarbonate lens and other additional discounts, but he didn't bother to offer me any. Maybe it was because I used the Livingsocial deal. BOTTOMLINE: I got a good exam, pair of plastic lens glasses, and prescription for contact for $45. Not bad at all. Also, be sure to check out the Jewish deli next door!
