I must have put my last review for this place on Google because I can't find here. Sometime over a year ago my right side piece came off my glasses. They fixed it for about $50, and it is still working perfectly. A couple of months ago while I was out of the country, my left side piece came off (not the one they had fixed). I ended up taking it to an optician in Paris, and they fixed it for free, but their fix only lasted about a week (superglue is a great temporary fix but not permanent). Unfortunately, when the superglue failed, I was on my way to the airport, so I bought some more superglue and did a temporary fix myself. In Florida, I found a similar place to QuickFix, and they repaired it. It cost more (i think it was $79) and turned out to be another temporary fix (better than superglue but not great) as my left side piece came off yesterday. Fortunately, I was in town when this happened (ironically at the eye doctor's), so I brought it over to QuickFix, and they fixed it quickly (hence the name) for $50. Of course, I can't say for sure that this fix will last for more than a year, but, given my experience with them fixing the right side, I'm pretty confident that I'm set with these frames until I need new glasses. I arrived at the shop at 4:30 PM on New Years Eve, 2020. Granted, with the pandemic, the usual NY Eve celebrations were limited. Regardless of the date, I was welcomed and given quick and efficient service. The two people who waited on me answered all of my questions. The glasses were repaired like new. These glasses were handmade in Vancouver British Columbia by Spectacle Eyeworks. They were the most expensive pair of glasses I've ever bought and I sat on them four months after I had them. I broke off both temple pieces that were attached with spring hinges. Everywhere I took them, I was told that they were not able to be repaired. I found quickfix on Google and took them there. Another quick fix place could not do it. Saturday evening my titanium frames broke. I tried several places and one quick fix place at the mall said they could repair my frames. After an hour wait they said that they could not fix them. Waited till Monday morning call and they said they probably could. Drove over to Pikesville and the very nice lady said no problem. I waited the hour and was surprised by the amount of traffic through the doors. She came out and announced the repair was made for half the price of the mall vendor. I fell, with my glasses in my hand. I was devastated, since the glasses were fairly new, cost a bundle, and I really have trouble seeing and reading without them. I have the half frame with the wire underneath. The lens had fallen out, and I had really bent the frame badly. I went to some optical shops, and they were hesitant to even try to repair them. One even said they might break them worse, and would not be responsible. I looked online and found "Quick Fix" Eyeglass repair (same place, I guess they have changed the name). I went over, expecting to pay a lot to get them fixed, or be told like the other places, that they could not be repaired. I slowly pulled them out, expecting the worse, when the girl at the counter took them and said, "Do you want to wait for them or come back and pick them up? They will be ready in about an hour". I was totally shocked, and asked again if they could be fixed, and she calmly said, "sure" they can. She even said if they broke the frame, they would repair it, and even that would be included in the quote she had already given me. I left and came back in an hour, and they were done, looking good as new. I was told that I had a warranty on their work, as well. The best part? It didn't even cost me a lot of money. Visited Quick Fix Eyeglass after reading reviews on Yelp. My daughter broke her brand new glasses by stepping on them and breaking the hinges. Walking into the store it is alittle bare, kinda like a shady doctor's office, but we felt better about being there once the shop owner came from the back and assessed the glasses and let us know the repair would be easy and $45. We dropped glasses off on a Tues. and were told there would be like a 2 day turnover, which was fine since we couldn't pick up until Saturday anyway. Not cheap. You really have to break an expensive pair of glasses to make it worth it. I took my girlfriend's prada sunglasses to get fixed there and it costs about $45. Granted the sunglasses cost around $250, so it was worth it. However, they did an excellent job and laser welded the stem back on. You can't even tell it was broken and they warranty the repair. Way better than trying to crazy glue the glasses back together yourself. What a great find! I was prepared to pay to get a full pair at Lenscrafters after breaking one of the arms right off my rimless glasses. Found this repair place using a search tool and I'm so glad I did! He was able to fix them while I waited and it was a very reasonable $49 for a full matching set of new temples.
