Robert and Fernando offered superb customer service. It was my first visit to the mall since Covid. They were mindful and courteous as they explained to us how to try on glasses and how the process and handling worked to secure a joyful shopping experience. My hubby and I ended up buying 4 pairs of glasses. Thank you to both of these young men for providing exceptional customer service. read more

I bought a pair of Prada sunglasses over a year ago from a different location and needed new nose pads. I ordered and rec new original equip nose pads via mail through Sunglass Hut recommended vendor. I was in Downey and since I had the new parts with me I stopped in Stonewood. I was greeted by Fernando Even though I didn't purchase from his location he was very happy to install the new nose pads for me He adjusted them and I was off and running. Great customer service. Thank you Fernando. read more

If I could the company zero stars I would! Went in about a month ago to buy some sun glasses and the employee was great. Then the week I was suppose to receive my glasses I get an email stating my order was cancelled due to no stock. I've emailed them 3 times as of today waiting on the money to be returned to my account and have not gotten any responses. Don't want to go to the store and get pissed. Never again will I purchase anything from them. read more

Just got my new sunglasses today - yay! I decided to splurge a little and get some Ralph Lauren sunglasses. The girl was helpful and attentive, even with a few people in the store and her being the only one working. I was able to stay within my budget so that was a better deal for me. There is a pretty big selection and different brands to chose from, the prices vary also. They also have a one year one time replacement deal, so if you break your glasses you can get a replacement at half price - which is a good deal for those of us that go through a few pairs. read more

Stay away! If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I walked into the store last Saturday and it was full of customers. I looked around and there was an employee standing at the register not helping anyone, so I approached her and said hello. I was not greeted by her or anyone else. I let the young lady know that I had received some sunglasses as a gift and needed to have them adjusted because they were too big and sliding off the bridge of my nose. She took the glasses and started to tighten the nose pads, gave them back, but they were still not fitting correctly. The young lady who was helping me gave the glasses to the woman who was at the front of the store, who by the way, had such a sour puss face and not friendly or smiling. The woman gave the glasses back to me and said "can't you see I have a store full of customers? You will need to come back in 45 minutes." I let the woman know that I didn't have time to wait and she said that her and the other young lady were busy helping customers. I told her that I was being helped by the other lady, who wasn't helping anyone when I walked in & that's why I approached her and asked for help. I told her the glasses were too big and needed adjustment on the temple. She told me that she needed to "heat" up the machine and in order to make the adjustment I need to come back in 45 minutes. Once again I told her I would not be coming back in 45 minutes. I asked her if she was the store manager and she said she was. I asked her name (Gloria) and let her know how unbelievably rude she was and that I would be calling the corporate offices on Monday. Really? A store full of customers? What was I? So, your considered a " customer" when you are buying sunglasses, but once you need an adjustment they can't be bothered and your treated like you are a nuisance. Gloria obviously thought I was an idiot. The machine for adjusting temples does not take 45 minutes to heat up and if someone is purchasing sunglasses, I am pretty certain the glasses are going to be adjusted on the spot and they're not asked to come back 45 minutes later. Looking at the receipt, Gloria is the same person who sold the sunglasses to my husband. She was very happy to sell two pairs of sunglasses ($300+) to my husband and even let him know that I could come by at any time for an adjustment. Boy, was that far from the truth! I called the corporate office on Monday and I'm still waiting to hear back from the Regional Manager. Gloria should not be managing any type of store with her poor attitude. If you are that unhappy with your job, you have no business running a store or interacting with people. I was in retail for over 16 years and can assure you I would never treat anybody the way I was treated. Every customer needs undivided attention regardless! It doesn't matter if they are returning an item, need an adjustment or making a purchase. Disgusting service, poor attitude and not friendly! I obviously will never shop there again, it is no wonder this store has the ratings it has. read more

I made a purchase from this store several days ago and was told that the pair of Ray-Bans were completely fresh and new. Upon reviewing them at home, they were clearly worn and so I immediately put them back in the case. I decided to go back to the store so that I can exchange them for an actually new pair, like I had originally intended, and perhaps buy another pair since they had a sale discount off of a 2nd pair. Anyway, when I arrived to the store I was greeted by Maria and Sophia, and after explaining to them the situation, Maria began polishing the sunglasses. After spending a couple of minutes wiping them, she then told me that the glasses were worn (duhhh?) and that she could not help me. She told me that she could not process any exchange because it was my fault for not reviewing them before leaving the store and for scratching them...???.. seriously?!?! I did my best to remain calm, as there were other shoppers in the store and I did not want to ruin their experience, and allowed Maria to explain her excuses for refusing to assist me. She claimed that only her manager, Fernando, could help me and that she knows he works on Saturday (mind you, this is Sunday) if I wanted to see him... how does this store operate if Fernando is not around?!?! Needless to say, my experience has been terrible but we will see in the coming days if Fernando can turn this around for me. Maria and Sophia (had an attitude btw) are clearly useless and need to be purged from this location. Get some real sales people in there that know how to treat someone. As a sales and services manager, I would not tolerate any treatment that results in any customer leaving my business the way that I am left feeling after this visit. And sadly, after checking some other reviews, I'm not the only one. Something needs to be done. read more

This is my 4th time visiting this location for my sunglasses needs and I've not been disappointed since. I went in last year to get a new lense replaced and they fixed it then and there. I went in yesterday to exchange a new pair of Ray Bans (for a better fitting pair). Sal helped me the exchange. He was very nice, helpful, & knowledgeable of the products. I was very pleased & satisfied with my visit once again; I walked out of there with a nice pair of new Ray Bans. Def coming back here again for my next pair of glasses. read more

I previously purchased a pair of Dolce & Gabbana Aviator Sunglasses, the lens cracked, and I went in today for my Oops coverage and I spoke to Fernando the Manager at the Downey Sunglass Hut in the Mall, today to get a new pair, and he stated he could not find all my info in the computer. He found part of my info but with the wrong address and denied me my Oops coverage or deal on new lens or to even help replace my cracked lens. The Service today was horrible and I'm very dissatisfied with Sunglass hut. If this is how Sunglass hut is going to take care of their customers then I will no longer return to sunglass hut and I will recommend the same for my friends & colleagues. read more

My sister and I walked in to the store today and we were not greeted. There were two workers (male) and they became very confrontational when we asked a question. We might have been putting the wrong energy out but there was no effort made towards providing good customer service. Will not be returning to the store nor will I be shopping at any Sunglass Hut. read more

i was in there today 2/6/14 at about 12:30-45pm i walked into the store twice and was VERY DISAPPOINTED BOTH TIMES. first time: there were NO customers and 1 employee(female) who was not doing nothing and i was not greeted. so i walked out. i went over to the sunglasses hut inside macys but they didn't have what i was looking for so i went back to the general store outside. by the way the girl at Macy's was nice and greeted me. second time: there is 1 customer when i walk into the store. the same employee is still there and she is on the phone talking having a personal conversation. like really? you have customers who you have not greeted nor acknowledge and you are on the phone having a non work related conversation. i had to stare at her 4times to get her off the phone and this was after a third customer walked in. then she has the nerve to ask the last person who came in if she needed help. like hello? am i a ghost here? i stormed out of there after that. DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION. SHOP INSIDE MACYS HUT WAY BETTER. I'VE GOTTEN 4 PAIRS THERE. ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE. read more

Horrible customer service! I am never purchasing glasses from Sunglass hut. Specifically the Downey's location. Two girls couldn't helped exchange a pair of glasses that I had just recently purchased. According to them, they said that they were scratched. It was a two day purchased, never worn them. I bought them for my boyfriend and he didn't like the style, so I went back in to the closes location to exchange them on the 3rd day and they straight told me that they couldn't exchange it because according to their polices they didn't have authority to do anything because the manager was not there. But yet Maria told me to go to a different Sunglass hung to exchange them because Maria said that "every Sunglass hut must have a manager." Controverting herself already!!! WHAT?!!? she just said EVERY Sunglass hut has a manager. This girl clearly didn't wand to help us in the first place we arrived. Maria didn't even greet us and she right away was like "we are almost closing, so do you guys have anything in mind already" kinda saying in her own words hurry up because we are closing. I don't understand why people sign up to work, if they don't want to work. Maria then proceeded with fakepolicies and etc. at the point were she was just didn't care and was like constantly repeating to go to a different Sunglass hut. read more
