Without informing me, she added Illumacoat Ultra and an insurance plan to my order. I only realized this when my total came out higher than usual, so I asked the cashier to print an itemized receipt after I had already paid. If I hadn't specifically requested that receipt, I would not have known these extra charges were added at all. When I questioned the additional charges, instead of removing them, she repeatedly tried to persuade me to keep them. She then told me to "just try them" and said I could return them within 30 days if I didn't like them. However, returning them would take an extra trip and additional time out of my day. This could have been avoided if the charges were never added without my consent in the first place. What made the situation worse was that she told me I would lose a "20% discount" she personally gave me if I removed those add-ons. After going home and reviewing my receipt, I found that this 20% discount is actually standard for all customers purchasing their first pair. It isn't something exclusive she provided. I've been coming here for a long time with Kaiser insurance, and in the past, staff have always clearly explained and asked before adding any extra services. This was the first time I felt pressured and misled into paying for something I did not request. The amount itself wasn't a lot, but it's the principle. I ended up agreeing at the time because I had just gotten off a night shift and didn't have the energy to argue, but the experience didn't sit right with me. I hope management addresses this, as transparency and honesty should be the standard for all customers.

The frame is a large size to protect my eyes from the sun. It is way too large to wear with clear glasses every day. I tried it on and looked ridiculous. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted, acknowledged, and genuinely assisted never ignored. That kind of customer service is rare these days. I should also mention this appears to be a completely different team from the last time I visited (which I believe was around 2023), and they've truly raised the bar.
