On the day of my visit, I was seen right away (major win). The technology they use is modern and efficient, which made the whole process quick and seamless. I went to LensCrafters at the Downey Promenade for the first time last Tuesday and had a very poor experience. Even though I arrived early and checked in, I waited almost an hour past my appointment while two later appointments were taken before me. The explanation given, that contact lens appointments are "faster," didn't match what actually happened. The receptionist was kind and helpful, and the manager, Bridgette, explained the situation, but the lack of accountability from the optometrist was disappointing. He later called me without acknowledging the delay or his role in it. I was also told I couldn't file a complaint, which I believe is incorrect. My second appointment with a different optometrist went well, but the first experience left a negative impression regarding customer service and transparency. read more

From the moment you walk in you get interrogated by Bridget and I mean this lady lacks customer service and very hostile. I ordered online for pick up in store and I wish I never did that ! She was so rude at the very end she just handed me my box and that's it didn't bother to ask if I wanted to test them out in store or have them fit better none of that. LensCrafters was the only place I'd ever been to for eye exams since wearing glasses and contacts at 16. I am now 40 and I have to say for the past few years the service has had a major decline. Because of that I was not looking forward to going in for an appointment this year and decided to look elsewhere for my daughter and I. I hope you guys are able to improve your service quality soon. The worst place you can go to. Everyone here including the manger or should I say ESPECIALLY the manger are so rude. I came in for my appointment and was told the doctor had an emergency, which is understandable. But I was told to reschedule. I didn't accept it so I told her just to call me when the next doctor that was en route arrived. They did call me and I went in but the doctor himself told me he was sorry that he was accidentally at another office. So they knew he was coming and still tried to reschedule me saying they didn't know if they would even get a doctor. They are money hungry, I believe the girl helping after my exam is Kelly (might be wrong) but once I said I'd order my glasses online, the customer service stopped. I had questions about ordering online on the Lens crafters location she always said she didn't know. Come on, you do know. Nonetheless, zero stars if possible. read more

I went to get my glasses clean and was told I can just replace the whole pair because they were damaged internally. The store manager ( Bridget ) did a really through job asking questions such as how long I've had my glasses and took extra great care. Labor Day was the last day I could get my replacement , here I am getting new glasses for the replacement fee. I scheduled an appointment here as a 1st time patient. 2 weeks later I show up to my appointment only to be told I was set up as a walk in appointment and I can wait to see if they could fit me in to see the doctor with no guarantee. Super unprofessional, they said I could reschedule, mind you I had waited 2 weeks for this appointment. I chose to leave and go elsewhere. I will definitely not be returning to Lens Crafters. Came here to do my annual check with my new insurance. I had my appointment at 2:40p upon checking in I was told they attempted to call me to confirm appointment in which I checked my call log and had no missed calls/texts but if I wanted to wait a bit I can be on standby, given that I live pretty far I agreed. I waited 2hrs at 4:30p I asked for an update I was told I should've been next but that they would check. She came back and said I would be next. Minutes passed by and I was told by another lady that the dr said I could wait until 5:20 if his appointment doesn't show up but that he is refusing to see me. The dr is very unprofessional made me waste 2hr of my time waiting around when I could've have just rescheduled to begin with. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Find another place to go to. read more

The doctor is the best as is with all other LensCrafters I have been to. This particular store however... i don't know. So I had an eye exam and got new prescriptions which turns out will take 7-10 business days before it would be ready. I get a TEXT NOTIFICATION that I could come in and have the fitting for my frames.This is where it gets annoying. I call the store and I am told to hold and wait 15 minutes and the call drops. I call again and the lady says she is Yanira and asks me to hold w/o even able to say " ok" and was on hold for about 5 minutes and the call drops again. So it was my day off and sick so I had all the time to call back, BUT NOW I am immediately sent to their voicemail and told by the recording that someone would get back with me within TWO! business days! So today I went in and the most beautiful smile by the girl named Marie greets me. So she then proceeds to tell me that the technician will be in at 1 pm. I am all good with her asking me if I could come back at 1445. I am all good with that because of her excellent customer service demeanor and skills. Now I don't know who or what that lady with long blond hair is all about but right there, she cuts Marie and says there is another customer who has the first appointment. That lady if she is the manager is pompous with her talking at her staff down her nose. I have been a longtime customer of LensCrafters at Chino Hills and in Macy's Palo Alto. San Francisco but this bougie attitude of that lady was unacceptable and I swear I will never step into that store again. And just as a side-note they say they were going to call me and as I turn around, I hear that woman say, " why doesn't she call to make an appointment for her lens fitting???" That's where I lost it. I am a complaint de escalation officer at the airport and I read people and even if I have turn my back away from the situation, my body is very alert about sound and talk. Everyone is here is super rude the day of my exam the worker Kelly started adding all these extra charges saying she added a fee in the case I were to break my glasses and all these other extra fees I didn't ask for and wasn't given a choice. She didn't ask before adding anything just was informing me so I told her to remove all the extra charges I've never had an issue with messing up my glasses or anything so that's not needed she caught an attitude because I didn't want the extra fees. Then yesterday I went in to pick up my glasses and I was patiently waiting the worker with the super bright pink hair (not sure her name ) but I'm sure there's only one worker with pink hair was extremely rude for no reason . She was helping out a lady before me and then the lady was super nice she asked me if i was waiting for the worker I said I was just wondering where I pick up my glasses at and she yelled at me saying I need to wait that there's only two of them on the floor. The attitude was not needed at all. You guys need to do better with your customer service skills don't forget we the clients are the reason you guys are open and get paid ! read more

If you have time to spare come here. Our app was at 9:20 we got there at 9 because we know we have to be there before time to fill out papers. Took less than 5 mins to do the papers work . The pre eye exams were done 15 ... doc was no where to be seen . Front desk said he gets there u til 10!! Like really .... The blond lady it think is the boss didn't really care to apologize or anything the other lady's where nice and apologetic doc Trin never showed up it was 10 nothing. Wel left the parking lot at 10:05 nothing. Our time is also valuable . Last month also same issue he actually cancelled my appointment so if u want to waist your time in the morning don't book with him!!! read more

So some things about this place deserves a 5 star and some a zero so I think 3 is a good reflection of my overall experience at this location. The 5 star stuff- The Dr. here is so nice and goes over everything! You don't feel rushed through the appointment. The other staff members I interacted with were all friendly. The 0 star stuff- getting my new prescription glasses. I opted to just get new lenses for my existing frames I was told to wait until all the arrival notifications came through then call to verify if a tech or someone was in. So the 1st time I call I'm told that if I show up before a certain time I can get my glasses. So I rush over to show up and the person is not there. So no new prescription in my glasses. The next time I am able to make it with in the 4 hour window that this person works I call and they are not there. At the time of writing this I still haven't gotten my new lenses. But will keep calling and trying. This is the 1st time I have experienced this small window that only one person works that can do whatever needs to be done to the lenses. I've bought just new lenses before at a different location and did not have such a fuss. Personally I think the store is understaffed. Which is unfortunate because it very nice. And clean and close to home but maybe it being new makes this process a bit unorganized. And a 4 hour window during peak working hours is pretty crazy. TLDR: eye exams wonderful- getting new lenses for existing frames not so wonderful. read more

I don't need them in 2 weeks and u still have to call and ask and they say that they were delivered 2-3 days ago but they need to be looked at by the doc. I took my mother here to get her eye exam before her benefits card expired since we switched health insurances and had never used an FSA card before, I was a little worried. The ladies at the front desk did everything to make sure we maximized the allowance left on the card so that my mom can have everything the Dr. suggested and more. The woman with the curly hair and glasses is the rudest woman I have ever met (her name is Monica) and I have been coming to Lenscrafters for 10+ years. NEVER will I go back, wish they never moved from Stonewood. The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I'm a customer service manager, I know a thing or two about how to treat a customer. I'll be writing directly to corporate over my experience with the rudest woman I've ever dealt with. I called lenscrafters as my sunglasses were a little bit bent on the arm as my friend sat in them by mistake, very common. I'm sure. I spoke with Robert over the phone and he advised me to come into the store and they will take a look. Robert is a Magician and fixed my sunglasses in 10 seconds. I was in awe. Do not come here the Doctor is awesome. But the lady with the curly hair and glasses is very rude doesn't help just really bad customer service. I've spent some Dinero here. And they will not go out of there way to help or call your provider. They are relentless contacting us to make an appointment when benefits but when you get there oh!!
