Avoid Sunglass and Optical Warehouse at all costs. This place is a scam. They completely botched my lenses, admitted they were wrong, and promised to remake them -- which never happened. They also told me I'd get 20% off, from ANOTHER purchase i Made with them, yet somehow my total was $500. When I checked online, the original retail price was around $300, even before the supposed discount. So not only did they fail to deliver the product correctly, they overcharged me hundreds of dollars. When I went in to confront them, they refused to take responsibility or honor what they had said. The manager was incredibly rude, dismissive, and completely useless. No apology, no accountability, nothing. This business is built on lies, zero integrity, and terrible customer service. I've never dealt with such unprofessional behavior. Don't waste your time or your money here -- you'll regret it. read more

I had purchased a bunch of frames from this location back in the day, and after having a terrible experience at LenCrafters in Fashion Valley I decided to check them out again. I wasn't disappointed! Danny is hands down one of the best opticians out there. He's knowledgeable, friendly and made some great recommendations on frames and types of lenses I hadn't considered before. This location has a great selection, and the prices are really competitive. I was able to find the exact pair of Oakley frames I had purchased at Lenscrafters for almost $60.00 less. Paired with the excellent customer service I received and the super quick turnaround to receive my completed glasses, I will be coming back to this location in the future. I have been coming here for a couple years now and have had a great shopping experience each time! Keep these two points in mind ahead to help ensure you too have a great eyewear shopping experience: 1. There is VERY limited parking right in front of this store, which can be easy to miss. Thankfully you can park on the street. 2. There is a HUUUUUGE in-store selection! Do yourself a favor and have a good idea of what you're looking for ahead of your visit to save yourself some time. Honestly, even when I think I know what I want, down the manufacture and frame model, I have still managed to take an hour to make my final selections. Michael has helped me during both of my visits. He offers thoughtful insights that have been very helpful in my eyewear selection. Most of the sunglasses featured here can be made with prescription frames. You can bring in your prescription or visit the optometrist this shop partners with. Just be sure to confirm what hours the optometrist is in because those hours differ from the shop itself. I had a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses that a screw came out that holds the lens in. Called MJ and the reccomend a few authorized dealers that might be able to help me. I called the store and they said bring them in and we will fix them for FREE! I took a few pair and they tightened, cleaned and made sure they were working properly. CONCLUSION: I'll definitely be buying from them. Prices were as good as any other store I've look for glasses. They have a crazy amount of glasses and top brands on hand! read more

I am absolutely amazed at the service I got this past weekend. I have this infection in my eye that's healing with eye drops.. nothing to do with this store but I guess the medication dripping made the metal portion of the nose pad rust and of course it's irritating my nose bridge. I was in the area at the swamp meet and I could not stand it anymore. I remember seeing the shop several times and thought I would stop in to see if they would have a replacement. I walked in and a lovely lady asked what I needed. I explained and she told me she could replace it with new plastic nose pads and that I should have the place I bought the glasses order new pads for me. After a few minutes she came back with my glasses with new nose pads and told me it was no charge. I was so pleasantly surprised. Such a sweet gesture even though I didn't buy anything from them. I was traveling to San Diego, when I'd realized I'd forgotten my shades midway during the trip. I discovered this shop through Yelp and was looking forward to getting a new pair of Maui's. I'll start off by giving recognition to the customer service by the staff, at least the one lady that helped me out in store. They're definitely the main reason why this store has good reviews but beyond that, this place and its policies are horrible. I spent over $400 on a pair of Maui Jims that I was happy to have found and although having left the store a little lighter on my wallet, I was overall satisfied. This is where it went south. It wasn't until the following day that I felt the frame begin to fall off my face. I thankfully managed to catch it before hitting the ground. It turns out that one of the screws from the hinges had fallen out (tiny and impossible to locate outdoors) and the temple would no longer hold up, of course. Much to my dismay, it happened to be the weekend of Memoral Day and the store was closed from Sunday until Tuesday, a day after I'd driven back home. I ended up emailing the store minutes after the occurrence (Saturday) and didn't hear back from anyone. I called Tuesday, during their open hours and the manager, Michael, only offered to exchange them (depending on "whether they are the same pair"). I live over three hours away and after having spent the amount I did and the disappointment that ensued, I was wanting a return. I realize it was my responsibility to have asked about their return policy before the purchase, as Michael refused my request. Fine. I also discovered, upon looking for reviews on the model, AFTER I'd bought them (don't make the same mistake as me), that this is a common manufacturer's defect and worst of all, Zappos is retailing them for over $100 less. I figured the least Michael could do for me is pricematch the sunglasses with Zappos, seeing that they're an authorised dealer but yet again, he refused to help. He went as far as accusing me of telling a falsehood, claiming that it's "impossible" for the product to be listed lower than what MJ has it retailing. How utterly disgraceful to hold a position in management and be this incompetent. In the end, I contacted Maui Jim and decided to go through their warranty process, as I have no trust in this store. When I got there, this beautiful woman, Ally was SO helpful and got my shades sized and I was out the door in 5 min. They have an extensive amount of sunglasses & optics. They have a huge selection of eye glasses. I have a flatter nose than the norm so I need nose pads on my glasses. Well I love plastic frames and most stores don't have plastic frames with the raised nose pads. Your normal "mall" does not have a fraction of what this store carries. Fantastic, friendly service. My glasses, which I didn't even buy there, were missing both nose support thingies. Helene not only replaced them, she also realigned and readjusted my glasses, which had been sat on and the frames were bent. They have the largest inventory of glasses I've ever seen in my life, the problem is that their prices are ridiculously high. The employee who quoted me gave me a written quote that was double of any other company. When I looked over the reasoning behind why this was the case, I realized that he was charging each of the lenses separately from the each other. I've never had anyone do that before, ever. If not for that they would have been right in line with most of the other companies and I definitely would have purchased them since they were local and convenient. In the end I ended up buying the same pair of glasses for about 60% less online. I will probably go there again in the future and give them another chance. Worst case scenario I'll be able to try on a bunch of different styles in order to find the perfect pair again. read more

Been going here for years, but this last week I had my Oakley sunglasses (prescription Rx) break in my hands just as I was cleaning the lens, so I took them in and they did a warranty replacement for me on ON THE SPOT. They just looked up my record on the computer, saw that I was still within the 2-year warranty for Oakley frames, and I was out of there w/ new frames w/ my old prescription lenses in them within a half hour. I love this place! The extra special care and help I got from Althea was amazing, and she went over and beyond to help me get the right prescription. I originally went into the location with a friend and started trying on glasses, and found a brand I really liked. My eye dr didn't have the brand, so I worked with Althea over the phone & email to get my prescription input into the specific brand I liked.
