My friend was looking for new glasses and I was looking for some sunglasses so we were looking at different stores and found ourselves here! We never caught the staff members name, but he was super helpful and patient! We were browsing through the store for a while, trying on different frames and he was very encouraging and helped provide his feedback on different things we were concerned about (if the frame was too wide, the nose bridge, etc.) I also liked that, since I believe this is a Korean brand, the frames suited our face shape more than other Western brands. I visited on October 8th after breaking my glasses the night before, and it's safe to say the new pair has been holding up perfectly since. Michael adjusted them so well I haven't had a single issue. I was in a rush since I had upcoming trips that week and desperately needed same-day glasses. I found Eleven Optical on Yelp, and I'm so thankful I did! Michael was incredibly helpful without being pushy. He gave honest advice about frame quality and what worked best for my face shape, and he let me take my time browsing (I was there for over an hour LOL). His patience and professionalism made the whole process so comfortable and inviting. The selection was great--tons of styles and materials--and it's clear Michael truly cares about his craft, not just making a sale. He helped me narrow down my options and explained why certain frames were more flattering or timeless, which honestly helped me so much as an indecisive person. For context: my regular provider takes about 2 1/2 weeks to make glasses, and even with insurance, it's more expensive and that's without blue light protection added. Here, I got my glasses in 25 minutes, with blue light added on, and for less than I usually pay. Unreal. If I could've tipped Michael, I would have. I'll definitely be coming back--and probably for those brown frames next time! I cannot recommend this place enough and I strongly encourage new time comers to give this place a shot. Everything was so seamless and quick So I stopped by after finding Eleven Optical on a google search since my old frames suddenly snapped on the bridge and I needed an emergency replacement quick. Michael was super informative and even helped me select new frames by breaking down what does and doesn't work with my features, which was extremely helpful since they have such a wide selection of frames. Unfortunately since my prescription was on the stronger side it wasn't going to be able to be done within the day, but it was going to be done the next day (which is still EXTREMELY quick). They did notify me that there was unfortunately a delay with their courier so the frames would be ready in two days instead of the original one day, but their courier went the extra mile and picked up my frames from the halfway point and they were able to get my glasses to me in the original estimated one day turn around! read more

This is my second time I brought family here using them for same day prescription glasses and they're excellent. Bring in prescription and he does the rest. If you have insurance, he gives you the form to be reimbursed by them at whatever out of network rates your insurance has. It has nothing to do with this place. No insurance or used up the insurance allowance for the year, it's out of pocket. Eleven Optical is on Convoy St., San Diego which is a drive for me but if you want them in a day or two (if your lense is unique and not in stock and have to be ordered), this is the way to go. Both pairs we've ordered were done in about a hour. The first pair from my years pair is still like new after many many years of daily all day use. The stuff the optometrist charge $95 for is included in the lens. It was $100 for lens that includes blue light and anti glare and the price of frames. They have $35 and $$$. He was so very helpful and knowledgeable and able to help in picking out glasses that look great for the face. Lastly, I love how clean it is there. Immaculate. If you touch a pair to try on, please leave on the counter he says so he can wipe/clean them before they go into their designated spots Go to Happy Lemon next while you wait for your glasses and come back to a new pair. There are cases it might take a day or two but he will let you know up front. I love this place and highly recommend them. read more

A couple of weeks ago, I was being careless and broke my glasses at school. I found Eleven on yelp and decided to go and see if they'd be able to fix the frame. Although it was beyond saving, Michael informed me that if I wanted, that he could make me a new pair of glasses with my prescription relatively quickly. I expected to be waiting a couple days (which was what I was used to at other places) but was pleasantly surprised when I was told that he would give me a call in about 30 minutes when my glasses were ready for pick up. I appreciated the fact that Michael didn't try to upsell me on anything (actually talked me OUT of getting something more expensive saying that I would end up paying more for not that much benefit). I heard about this shop from a friend who got a targeted Instagram ad for Asian fit glasses, but I didn't realize where it was until I was at Happy Lemon today and suddenly saw the shop! I never noticed it before, but this time I went in to browse. The shop has actually been open since 2019. I usually get my glasses from Plaza Optometry in 99 Ranch Market, and I have a couple Sabline and Karra frames already. The shop is very cute with only Korean brands. The frames on the walls are almost exclusively with nosepads. There are also two tables with more frames, and one table is for Karra and Sabline. The Sabline frames are $30! The Karra frames are $60! These are much cheaper than at Plaza Optometry which buys them through a distributor whereas Eleven Optical buys them directly from the Korean manufacturer. They have lots of frames to choose from. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable. He estimated that for me, the lenses would cost $170 for 1.60 including all the anti-glare/blue light blocking/etc. coatings on top of the $30-60 frames. He also said it's possible to just buy the frames for the listed price and have the glasses made elsewhere. I wish I had come here earlier! But I'm glad I know about it now! I haven't actually gotten glasses here (yet), but I'm sure I'll be back and definitely recommending it to all my Asian friends. Very excited that this shop exists! read more

There are plenty of choices for frames and plenty of vintage/classic styles - this isn't your every day LensCrafters stuff and the price was very reasonable. To be honest I actually doubted the price was what Michael said it was and expected to see a final bill with a bunch of fees attached to it. Nope. Michael is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I've gotten two pairs of glasses here in the past two years, they carry glasses that complement Asian faces, all imported from Korea. There are definitely expensive options but also a good variety of more affordable frames. Everytime I've gone, my lenses were made in less than 25 minutes. I recently got a scratch on my lens and Michael replaced it in 10 minutes and matches my other old lens perfectly. Where do I even begin? TL;DR - absolutely highly recommend. I broke my glasses on a work day and desperately needed a new pair. Luckily, my friend had recommended this place to me a week prior. I first spoke with Michael on the phone and he gathered my prescription information and assured me this was something he could get done within an hour, so I rushed over there that evening. I got there about an hour before they closed. Note that there's more parking available behind the building. Instead of rushing me since they're about to close, Michael went above and beyond helping me pick out frames that suited my face. This is the only optical store I've been to where all tried-on frames are cleaned and sanitized prior to being placed back on display. A++ for hygiene. After selecting a frame, it took only about 25 minutes before he came back with my brand new pair of spectacles. He made the lens fit so seamlessly that it's currently the thinnest pair I own despite my growing prescription. Although this place was not in-network with my insurance, Michael prepared all the claim paperwork for me, making it a super easy process for me to submit my claim.
