This was my first time having this "Denver" cut of short rib. I was expecting a very luxurious, rich texture, but instead it was fairly lean and a bit dry. The outside was nicely charred and had a slightly ashen flavor, which was not unpleasant, just unexpected. On its own, the meat was a disappointment. Paired with the risotto and bordelaise, it improved considerably. Still, it is not something I would likely order again. We took our leftovers home and still had room for dessert, so we shared the Banana Bread Pudding. It was delicious, though the texture was more muffin-like than the dense, creamy style we usually prefer. The rum raisin ice cream was a very nice addition.
