The Parlor is air conditioned if u come inside from a beautiful walk along south pier across the street from Blue Harbor Resort. I have never had an issue with staff or service. The ice cream is quick and has many flavors to choose from as well has in a dish or on a homemade waffle cone. You can also mix and match flavors and toppings. Perfect spot for sundaes, fudge, and coffees. Seating indoors and outdoors but inside is spacious and smells like freshly made waffle cones. It's along the riverfront so the patio seating comes with a view. Only issue with sitting outside to enjoy your sweets on a sunny August afternoon is that the yellow jackets will find your ice cream and bother everyone; we ended up moving inside. While in town I wanted to stop for a cold treat because I don't do that as much as I should so I jumped on Yelp and this place looked like a winner. It's in an area next to Lake Michigan that is completely a leisure destination area to spend some time out doors with a resort, restaurant and ice creme shop along with the nice out door areas to recreate. The place is pretty nice looking for an ice cream shop and clearly designs to look like an old school shop with all the wood, tile floors, back bar and tin ceilings. This is just a nice place to for people of all ages to get a sweet treat with a nice view. I don't have a sweet tooth so I'm going to get something that I have never had before, a chocolate dipped waffle cone with chocolate peanut butter swirl ice creme sounded good, I'm going to force a sweet tooth on me today. Wow I was amazed at how good this combination is and on a hot humid day it hit the spot. I'm thinking that one scoup on top would be it, nope it was all ice cream down the cone except the last tiny 1-1/2 inch of the bottom point. This was a really cool place to stop for a sweet treat and I can see why it had a decent amount of people from all ages enjoying the place. read more

Loved the decor inside there's this little train up on the shelf, the shelfe goes right around the whole of the inside of the shop and the train goes right around that shelf, that is so awesome. They have stars they put next to each flavor that the staff think is delicious or someone said oh that one was so good. Warning service sizes are big! A single scoop comes with two scoops. They do serve kiddy sizes, about the size of a normal one scoop, and you get a gummy at the bottom of your cone. South Pier Parlor has a ton of flavors of ice cream (30+) and also has fountain drinks. We had one single scoop waffle cone, one dipped sugar single, one cake single, and one kiddy dipped sugar cone for ~$17. The staff is friendly and nice. The bathrooms are clean. I've been coming to Sheboygan for years, but have only just recently made my way over to South Pier parlor- and now I've been there more times than I'd care to admit! It's super good, affordable, and has a great view of the river. Plus now that it's summer, it's open even later. The interior is really cute, and has that old school classic soda shop look to it. There's tons of kitsch and a cute little train that drives around near the ceiling. It's a super cozy looking place- I definitely recommend eating in if you have the time! They have a really wide menu. They, of course, have ice creams and sundaes, but they also make smoothies, phosphates, sodas, and things like that. They also offer sodas and a few classic candies, and have fudge available by the pound. Ice cream is for sale in scoops, by the pint, or a quart. They also have premade ice cream sandwiches available in a freezer. Personally, I think the prices are completely reasonable. I think I paid $5.50(ish) for a triple scoop. At the ice cream shop closest to my house (in Illinois) it's 4.50 for ONE scoop. So for me, this is a very, very pleasant treat for both my sweet tooth and my wallet. While I'm still trying every flavor, I have yet to have one I didn't like! I'd most recommend Pirate's Bounty (caramel ice cream with M&M's and Oreo pieces), Birthday Cake, and Watermelon Sherbet. The latter is SUPER refreshing on a hot summer day! This is a great little place that I'm sorry I overlooked for so long. I have been there repeated times since, and will continue to go there for the remainder of my summer vacation in Sheboygan! It's the best place in town for ice cream, hands down. read more

One stars are hard to give. So I gave two...but one was more on target if I'm honest. Came in here during July of 2020 while in town for the IndyCar race at Road America. First thing I notice is there is a line out the door. There are a few signs up about social distancing but then inside the hand sanitizer machine is out. The line is not 6ft apart and the staff is completely mask less and glove less. The staff was scooping ice cream while touching their hair and face but had nothing protective on. It was a bit disconcerting to say the least. I understand businesses have their own rights and obligations but even in non Covid times I don't want to watch a girl twirl her pony tail and then go to scoop my ice cream. I felt so uneasy and bad for the place that I just ordered a scoop just to give a few dollars. The sign for flavors is also printed extremely small and I felt rushed to order by the staff behind the counter. And the girl essentially laughed at me for wearing a mask as she giggles and goes "i cannot hear what you're saying". As a first time patron I didn't really get a good feel of what kind of fun and different flavors they had to offer. So I just went basic with chocolate chip cookie dough. I had one scoop ($3) and it was just ok. Nothing phenomenal. Needless to say, I don't think I'll journey back here the next time I'm in the area. read more

No contactless payment either so you're going to have to be close to the staff at some point in the process. What a fun place to get ice cream....To start with, the staff is all extremely friendly and the place looks like a 1960's soda shop with cute little glass ice cream containers and all the wall paraphernalia. The best part is the number of ice creams they have available. There is literally a flavor for everyone. We tried the Shipwrecked and the Cappuccino, both were excellent. The nice thing is that you can sit outside while enjoying your ice cream on the dock or you can sit inside where there is plenty of seating. They are also not upset when you ask for samples. This place has a ton of great options and the line typically goes pretty quick. Always packed. The main reason why I didn't give a five star is because the prices are a tad high, and it is slightly out of the way which makes it a bummer when they don't have my favorite flavor. Scotcheroo is my favorite and it's only swapped out with their most popular flavor which rarely runs out. Nine times out of ten I go in there and they don't have it. Could be my fault, just not going on the right days I guess. But a bummer, no less. Still a lot of great options, but seriously nothing compares to the scotcheroo. One tip if ordering a shake or malt, when asked (or in my case, I wasn't asked so mention it), tell them it is for here...don't say to go. If you eat it on site, they give you a glass with the extra left over shake in the silver mixer thing. I wasn't asked and she poured some into a plastic cup, gave it to me, then gave the remaining shake to a coworker who started to eat it as she headed into the back...really??
