The Greenhouse has long been on my list to visit. This adorable shop is located in the courtyard area of The American Club in Kohler. When entering, the shop is straight past the stairs and then the second right turn. Their menu has a variety of coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, protein shakes, hot chocolate, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, ice cream, and more! The inside is beautifully designed and leans into the greenhouse aesthetic; it's whimsical and a true escape. I ended up ordering the Sweet Cardamom Latte along with the Blueberry Rosewater Scone. The scone may have been the best I've had! It was fresh and you could taste the rosewater and blueberries balance each other out. The Sweet Cardamom Latte had subtle flavor but they make their syrups in house as well as source local honey to flavor drinks. My husband got the Chai Tea Latte which had a subtle, sweet flavor. He also tried the ham, smoked gouda, and egg sandwich. They offered a chipotle mayo sauce to go with this which I highly recommend. This was a bit of a splurge but was so worth it!
We were spending the weekend at the American Club and were thrilled to learn that they have this wonderful little shop in the main courtyard. Like the rest of the American Club, it's a gem. We stopped in a couple of times and had the chance to try a variety of items. Food: They have an excellent assortment of beverages and pastries. Over our two visits, we tried a coffee latte, gourmet hot chocolate, London Fog Tea Latte, and a coffee. The baristas do a very nice job with the hot beverages. You can watch them being made, and it's clear they pay attention to the small details. A great example was the whipped cream on the hot chocolate, piled high in the center of the cup without touching or spilling over the sides. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. On our first visit, we ordered a Blueberry Rosewater scone that looked amazing in the case. It was nicely baked, topped with turbinado sugar, and had plenty of blueberries. The texture, however, was more muffin-like than scone-like. There was also a noticeable baking soda taste, which we both picked up on. I later mentioned this to the manager, who was apologetic. On our second visit, we shared an Espresso Hazelnut Cruffin. This is essentially a croissant baked in a muffin tin and filled with flavored cream. That one was outstanding. The dough was flaky yet moist, and the filling was generous and fresh. We cut it open, spread the filling across the pieces, and ate it almost like buttered bread. Truly delicious. Service: All of the staff were friendly and pleasant. Even when they were busy, it never felt rushed. They didn't initially ask if we wanted our beverages in mugs, but they were happy to accommodate when we asked. They also offered to heat up the scone, which was appreciated. Atmosphere: It's a small space with about a dozen small tables, best suited for groups of two, though there are a couple of tables that can seat four. The stained glass windows are lovely, letting in plenty of natural light and providing a beautiful view of the courtyard. It can get a little loud inside, but we were still able to have a relaxed conversation. A charming spot that fits perfectly into the American Club experience.
Such a beautiful and relaxing spot. The moment you walk in, it feels like you've stepped into a European café. The space is bright and comfortable, and the stained glass is absolutely stunning--it truly makes the entire experience feel special and unexpected. We had a French toast latte and it was amazing--warm, cozy, and just the right amount of sweet. The desserts looked almost too pretty to eat. We passed this time, but next visit we're definitely indulging. Everything was clean and thoughtfully done, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A lovely place to slow down, take it all in.
OBSESSED is an understatement. This coffee place is gorgeous in every way. It is straight out of a romance novel and I am here for it. Lots of variety of drinks. The coffee was delicious. I also had a hazelnut croissant that was such a sweet treat. Lovely place for a morning date.
I HEART The Greenhouse! I've walked into very few other coffee shops that bring me immediate joy just by entering the space; the stained glass atrium is so bright and uplifting! Every detail is sunshine for the soul. The extensive bakery, creative coffee drinks and polished staff make the whole experience one to remember. I love the mid-century modern furniture and decor too, the jade green tiling is so aesthetically pleasing. The ham and cheese croissant & breakfast sandwiches were the items we went this time and they were all delicious! My go-to drink for the weekend was an oat milk cortado (done right) and overall they just do a great job making their drinks. I love visiting The Greenhouse whenever we are staying at The American Club or visiting Kohler - what a great spot!
A cute little coffee shop attached to the American club in Kohler. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They had a lot of drink options from hot lattes to different kinds of tea. They also had some yummy looking pastries and you could also get breakfast sandwiches. The coolest part are the stained class windows and all the plants. A great place to enjoy a cup of coffee!
The Greenhouse is such a cute cafe! It's tucked inside The American Club (in case you have trouble finding it), The hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful in pointing us in the right direction! Inside has gorgeous stained glass windows and a cute greenhouse vibe! I tried the strawberry nutella danish, and also got a matcha latte with oat milk, which was definitely on the sweeter side but still super good. They also offer gelato and a case full of beautiful pastries I want to try next time. There's tons of seating both inside and out, and the garden is absolutely gorgeous with fountains, greenery, and little paths! It's about an hour from me, but 100% worth the trip. Definitely recommend checking it out!
This is a must-visit spot. Is the coffee the best ever? No. Is it over priced? Yes. But the greenhouse itself is so beautiful and it's just an experience in itself.
What a beautiful place for a good cup of coffee and a pastry. Tucked into the American Club, perfect for overnight guest or those who want a quick visit a short walk through the lobby area. We stopped in around 8:30am on a Saturday and there were only a couple of seats open, but within 15 minutes there were more table available. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and the pastry case looked delicious. We got London fog tea, iced French toast latte, and egg sandwich, and a coffee cake. The food and drinks were ready pretty quick and everything tasted great! If you're in the area and looking for a beautiful place to get a cup of coffee, this is the place! We only wish we were staying so we could stop by sooner again.
I've been dying to get to The Greenhouse and it did not disappoint! It's absolutely gorgeous inside. Beautiful on a cold snowy day or warmer summer day. I now understand why I see this place pop up on my social media feeds posted by influencers! I ordered a matcha latte with vanilla and it was perfect. I took it outside and sat on the outdoor patio. The place was busy when I was there on a Sunday around noon. I waited around 15 minutes to get my drink but while waiting I got to admire the beauty.
I saw this place on TT of course and HAD to go. My love of coffee and plants wouldn't let me not. It is very small inside. Kind of tricky to find but asking along the way made it easy. The courtyard was so beautiful (I visited in September) The employees were very pleasant. My croissant was delicious and my coffee was also very yummy. I did feel like a lot of people were staring at me unnecessarily - idk if it was because I was alone or dressed for a hike (I went hiking later) Regardless the vibe was so nice.
Very cute and cozy! The coffee is the perfect amount of sweet and perfect for coffee lovers. The pastries we had were very yummy as well! The price is a bit high but to be expected for Kohler. But the service was very nice, the staff were kind!

The Greenhouse is absolutely beautiful. Located within the Kohler resort, it has a bright, airy atmosphere with gorgeous stained-glass windows that make the whole space feel incredibly inviting. The staff was so friendly and made an incredible experience. The coffee was excellent, and the bakery case was full of fresh pastries that all looked amazing. We loved our croissant. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and high quality. There are plenty of places to sit both inside and outside in their beautiful courtyard, making it a perfect place to slow down and enjoy your morning. Between the beautiful setting, great coffee, and delicious pastries, this ended up being one of my favorite coffee stops of the trip. read more

I have been wanting to visit The Greenhouse for ages and I'm so glad I finally did! I'll be back. A friend and I were out shopping for the day and stopping in for a hot specialty drink and bakery made our day perfect. The cafe is stunning. The inside is lined with beautiful stained glass. The outside is surrounded by beautiful, well tended gardens. There are small tables and a sofa with chairs to seat a larger party. Their beverage menu was impressive! I settled on a cappuccino this time and my friend had tea. Both were excellent. Although it was only 12:30 the bakery choices were minimal. I got a chocolate croissant and my friend had a blueberry muffin. Both were disappointing and were quite stale and hard to chew. But the drinks and ambiance were definitely superb. read more

The Greenhouse was absolutely enchanting, with stunning views from inside through the beautiful glass design. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were very kind. The pastries were delicious, and the coffee was excellent. I tried the green matcha tea with a shot of espresso and vanilla flavoring--it was amazing! I highly recommend this spot if you're in Kohler, Wisconsin. It's located inside the American Club read more

Okay yessss. Possibly my favorite visited coffee shop of all time? I mean the vibes are immaculate! The stained glass is truly stunning, everything is so tidy and well-kept, the furniture and decor are perfect for the space, and the airy-bright feel is just wonderful. This adorable spot is tucked inside the American Club, though you don't need to be a hotel guest to enjoy it. I visited after a day at the Water Spa next door, and my zen-feels just continued on! The Greenhouse is tucked into a true hidden garden space, giving it this enchanted feel. I heard someone mention it's support to replicate something out of England, and from someone who visits England quite a bit, I can attest to it! The women behind the counter we're very friendly and hospitable. I ordered a lavender latte, and also opted for some house-made overnight oats that were in their cooler area. Both were delightful. Especially the latte - sometimes flavored drinks are toooo flavored, if ya know what I mean. This was lightly lavender and I really enjoyed it. Their menu is fairly limited on food but it's vast for drinks! Including the likes of sparkling lemonades, Italian sodas, milkshakes, adult slushies, smoothies, frappes, teas, coffees and espressos. I spent roughly two hours here with my laptop, but certainly could have stayed longer! I'll look forward to a return next time I'm in town. read more

This was one of the prettiest cafes I've been been too! The garden was beautiful and so was the inside of the cafe. Everyone working was very friendly and was speedy! The strawberry ice cream was a dream! It was some of the best I ever had and my friend loved her smoothie! read more

Super cute spot with good pastries. Drinks are okay, nothing special. A little hard to find because signs aren't that big. But the ambience and photo opportunities are what make this a 5 star spot! read more

Came across a video on Instagram showing this place as a gorgeous and unique coffee destination and the reality did not disappoint! This is by far one of the most beautiful and unique coffee spots that I have seen. The cafe is located inside the gorgeous American Club, and the surrounding gardens offer a stunning landscape to unwind and enjoy an expertly crafted beverage. I thought the coffee was well balanced, the drinks were not overly sweet (the raspberry white chocolate mocha was divine - not too sweet in my opinion), and although priced a little higher than your average cafe - this is not your average cafe. Service was a little slow as there was only one barista and one other to take the orders, but we found it worth the wait. The pastry's were just okay. We tried 2 of the cookies (Funfetti and chocolate chip) which were fine and the coffee cake was really just cake with a thin layer of cinnamon topping - definitely needs more cinnamon! Overall I would come back and will love to show others this beautiful hidden gem. read more
DELIGHTFUL! Highly recommend this adorable little coffee spot within The American Club. Went for a little mom and daughter afternoon date. We loved the stained glass and greenery throughout. My mom told me a story that it was actually from Europe, deconstructed, then shipped here and reconstructed so it is actually a true European coffee cafe - so cool!! We both got our coffees and little pastries (so yummy!), then took our treats for a little stroll around the property. read more
I saw this coffee shop on a TikTok and literally booked a flight to Wisconsin. Did I base the whole vacation on a coffee shop because it was just that beautiful? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. Did it live up to the hype? Absolutely. We ordered the latte flight and absolutely loved everyone of them. From the moment we walked in the door here we loved it - the staff was friendly. The ambience is beyond beautiful, and the stained glass is just magical to look at. After relaxing and sipping our coffees and enjoying some pastries for a little bit, we took a tour of the outside gardens, which are also beautiful. Just an all-around great experience and I would highly recommend that if you were anywhere in the Wisconsin area that you make a point to come see this adorable coffee shop. It is in the courtyard of the American club, but it is open to the public so you park at the American club , walk through the front door straight out the back door into the courtyard and take a right into the coffee shop. read more
What an incredibly beautiful hidden treasure in Kohler. It's instagramable but more than that it's absolutely stunning. Enjoy some fresh baked good, ice cream or a coffee with a friend or with a book. You can step outside and see the garden while it's still warm. A great place for a quick get away from the city. read more
Such a gorgeous coffee shop! The stain glass interior is very *demure* and coquette vibes. The exterior is absolutely stunning as well. The courtyard is so peaceful and the landscaping was immaculate! The pictures don't do it justice. The service was also extremely fast, the staff was hustling despite the long lines. I was surprised my wait was 1/4 of the wait of a traditional coffee chain like Starbucks. I tried the lavender latte and it was phenomenal! I also got the smashed tomato breakfast on sourdough and cream cheese danish. I'd recommend the pastries, but the hot breakfast options were just mid (my friends got the bacon avocado and the classic so I was able to judge). Overall such a cute experience! read more

The services was great. I feel that the staff were very busy and working really hard to maintain the line out the door. Everything was made correctly and the staff was very friendly. The coffee was good, but I felt it was missing flavor. The ice cream was the best part it was extremely creamy and refreshing . The bakery items look gorgeous. However, I was disappointed in the chocolate croissant. The texture was great but there was little to no chocolate in it. Ambiance is very beautiful and great for beautiful photos, but the space is pretty tight, so you might not be able to sit in with your coffee to enjoy it fully. read more
