The Greenhouse has long been on my list to visit. This adorable shop is located in the courtyard area of The American Club in Kohler. When entering, the shop is straight past the stairs and then the second right turn. Their menu has a variety of coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, protein shakes, hot chocolate, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, ice cream, and more! The inside is beautifully designed and leans into the greenhouse aesthetic; it's whimsical and a true escape. I ended up ordering the Sweet Cardamom Latte along with the Blueberry Rosewater Scone. The scone may have been the best I've had! It was fresh and you could taste the rosewater and blueberries balance each other out. The Sweet Cardamom Latte had subtle flavor but they make their syrups in house as well as source local honey to flavor drinks. My husband got the Chai Tea Latte which had a subtle, sweet flavor. He also tried the ham, smoked gouda, and egg sandwich. They offered a chipotle mayo sauce to go with this which I highly recommend. This was a bit of a splurge but was so worth it! read more

We were spending the weekend at the American Club and were thrilled to learn that they have this wonderful little shop in the main courtyard. Like the rest of the American Club, it's a gem. We stopped in a couple of times and had the chance to try a variety of items. Food: They have an excellent assortment of beverages and pastries. Over our two visits, we tried a coffee latte, gourmet hot chocolate, London Fog Tea Latte, and a coffee. The baristas do a very nice job with the hot beverages. You can watch them being made, and it's clear they pay attention to the small details. A great example was the whipped cream on the hot chocolate, piled high in the center of the cup without touching or spilling over the sides. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. On our first visit, we ordered a Blueberry Rosewater scone that looked amazing in the case. It was nicely baked, topped with turbinado sugar, and had plenty of blueberries. The texture, however, was more muffin-like than scone-like. There was also a noticeable baking soda taste, which we both picked up on. I later mentioned this to the manager, who was apologetic. On our second visit, we shared an Espresso Hazelnut Cruffin. This is essentially a croissant baked in a muffin tin and filled with flavored cream. That one was outstanding. The dough was flaky yet moist, and the filling was generous and fresh. We cut it open, spread the filling across the pieces, and ate it almost like buttered bread. Truly delicious. Service: All of the staff were friendly and pleasant. Even when they were busy, it never felt rushed. They didn't initially ask if we wanted our beverages in mugs, but they were happy to accommodate when we asked. They also offered to heat up the scone, which was appreciated. Atmosphere: It's a small space with about a dozen small tables, best suited for groups of two, though there are a couple of tables that can seat four. The stained glass windows are lovely, letting in plenty of natural light and providing a beautiful view of the courtyard. It can get a little loud inside, but we were still able to have a relaxed conversation. A charming spot that fits perfectly into the American Club experience. read more

Such a beautiful and relaxing spot. The moment you walk in, it feels like you've stepped into a European café. The space is bright and comfortable, and the stained glass is absolutely stunning--it truly makes the entire experience feel special and unexpected. We had a French toast latte and it was amazing--warm, cozy, and just the right amount of sweet. The desserts looked almost too pretty to eat. We stopped in here while staying at The American Club. This place is just stunningly beautiful with all the stained glass and high ceilings. It's definitely becoming a bit internet famous as I saw a few people filming and it does seem to get crowded so beware if you want to come and sit, it filled up fast and they only have about 8 or so tables that aren't very large. Really great variety of smoothies, hot drinks, pastries and I believe they do ice cream as well. My smoothie and pastry was delicious, I'd definitely stop again if in the area. read more

I HEART The Greenhouse! I've walked into very few other coffee shops that bring me immediate joy just by entering the space; the stained glass atrium is so bright and uplifting! Every detail is sunshine for the soul. The extensive bakery, creative coffee drinks and polished staff make the whole experience one to remember. I love the mid-century modern furniture and decor too, the jade green tiling is so aesthetically pleasing. The ham and cheese croissant & breakfast sandwiches were the items we went this time and they were all delicious! My go-to drink for the weekend was an oat milk cortado (done right) and overall they just do a great job making their drinks. The Greenhouse is such a cute cafe! It's tucked inside The American Club (in case you have trouble finding it), The hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful in pointing us in the right direction! Inside has gorgeous stained glass windows and a cute greenhouse vibe! I tried the strawberry nutella danish, and also got a matcha latte with oat milk, which was definitely on the sweeter side but still super good. They also offer gelato and a case full of beautiful pastries I want to try next time. There's tons of seating both inside and out, and the garden is absolutely gorgeous with fountains, greenery, and little paths! It's about an hour from me, but 100% worth the trip. What a beautiful place for a good cup of coffee and a pastry. Tucked into the American Club, perfect for overnight guest or those who want a quick visit a short walk through the lobby area. We stopped in around 8:30am on a Saturday and there were only a couple of seats open, but within 15 minutes there were more table available. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and the pastry case looked delicious. We got London fog tea, iced French toast latte, and egg sandwich, and a coffee cake. The food and drinks were ready pretty quick and everything tasted great! If you're in the area and looking for a beautiful place to get a cup of coffee, this is the place! We only wish we were staying so we could stop by sooner again. read more

I've been dying to get to The Greenhouse and it did not disappoint! It's absolutely gorgeous inside. Beautiful on a cold snowy day or warmer summer day. I saw this place on TT of course and HAD to go. My love of coffee and plants wouldn't let me not. It is very small inside. Kind of tricky to find but asking along the way made it easy. This place popped up on my Instagram feed. I had a day date with my niece, so I decided to check it out. It was not intuitive to get here. It is in the middle of the American Club but is open to the public. Some nice staffers and some signs got us there. The staff was so sweet. My niece is young and shy, and they were so patient with her ordering. It was great seeing her so proud of herself (and happy with her chocolate croissant). Okay yessss. Possibly my favorite visited coffee shop of all time? I mean the vibes are immaculate! The stained glass is truly stunning, everything is so tidy and well-kept, the furniture and decor are perfect for the space, and the airy-bright feel is just wonderful. This adorable spot is tucked inside the American Club, though you don't need to be a hotel guest to enjoy it. I visited after a day at the Water Spa next door, and my zen-feels just continued on! The Greenhouse is tucked into a true hidden garden space, giving it this enchanted feel. I heard someone mention it's support to replicate something out of England, and from someone who visits England quite a bit, I can attest to it! The women behind the counter we're very friendly and hospitable. I ordered a lavender latte, and also opted for some house-made overnight oats that were in their cooler area. Both were delightful. Especially the latte - sometimes flavored drinks are toooo flavored, if ya know what I mean. This was lightly lavender and I really enjoyed it. Their menu is fairly limited on food but it's vast for drinks! Including the likes of sparkling lemonades, Italian sodas, milkshakes, adult slushies, smoothies, frappes, teas, coffees and espressos. I spent roughly two hours here with my laptop, but certainly could have stayed longer! I'll look forward to a return next time I'm in town. read more

After years of seeing this beautiful place on my social feeds, I finally got around to trying it and was not disappointed. It is absolutely stunning inside and makes it feel like you aren't in Wisconsin. It was about $20 for two specialty coffees which is definitely more than I would normally spend, but they were delicious and a substantial size for the price. What a perfectly beautiful setting. I've been wanting to come here for a while. Lots of lovely seating inside and out in the courtyard when weather permits. The bake goods were good. The coffee was just fine. The missing stars are for how I was left to be made feeling guilty over wanting what I ordered. I was asked what milk I wanted and I said whole. I noticed fat free was being used and I mentioned I said it was suppose to be whole. I was treated as if I was an annoyance.... Came across a video on Instagram showing this place as a gorgeous and unique coffee destination and the reality did not disappoint! This is by far one of the most beautiful and unique coffee spots that I have seen. The cafe is located inside the gorgeous American Club, and the surrounding gardens offer a stunning landscape to unwind and enjoy an expertly crafted beverage. I thought the coffee was well balanced, the drinks were not overly sweet (the raspberry white chocolate mocha was divine - not too sweet in my opinion), and although priced a little higher than your average cafe - this is not your average cafe. Service was a little slow as there was only one barista and one other to take the orders, but we found it worth the wait. The pastry's were just okay. We tried 2 of the cookies (Funfetti and chocolate chip) which were fine and the coffee cake was really just cake with a thin layer of cinnamon topping - definitely needs more cinnamon! I saw this coffee shop on a TikTok and literally booked a flight to Wisconsin. Did I base the whole vacation on a coffee shop because it was just that beautiful? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. The coffee was good, but I felt it was missing flavor. The ice cream was the best part it was extremely creamy and refreshing . The bakery items look gorgeous. I was surprised my wait was 1/4 of the wait of a traditional coffee chain like Starbucks. I tried the lavender latte and it was phenomenal! An absolute delight of a coffee shop! It feels like you're in a secret garden as it's located in an enclosed courtyard you enter through the gorgeous American Club hotel. My sisters and I came to The American Club and Kohler Spa for a girls trip - which I highly recommend! The entire experience was absolutely fantastic! Before we arrived I was perusing TikTok and came across several videos of folks at this magical spot. I instantly knew I had to visit. Located inside The American Club, The Greenhouse is a spectacular spot to grab a cup of coffee, tea, or even ice cream! It's romantic, bright, and an absolute MUST do. It's basically a glass house with stained glass and beautiful details. I felt like I was in a jewel box! I ordered a chai tea latte, while my sisters ordered other latte drinks. They used boxed chai tea and while it was okay, not creamy like I normally like my chai tea lattes. I'll chalk it up to ordering wrong, when I should have gone with my normal Americano. My fault! The sisters enjoyed their lattes and we had fun walking around taking photos of the grounds. read more
