Delicious healthy and quick. Inside a grocery market. Good for a morning smoothie, coffee and açaí bowl.

There is a great outdoor patio that is nicely shaded or you can even drink at one of the tables inside the Woodlake Market!

I like to patronize local, family-owned businesses when I can, but with Jimmy Johns down the street, I can't see myself going back to try them again.

I ordered the chicken salad signature sandwich, stuffed green pepper soup, and a brownie with walnuts. The service was fast, of course, since I was the only person there. The worker was nice and friendly but I'm sure it helped that I was friendly and very talkative. The prices were decent and the food tasted very fresh. However, I should note that the food was lacking flavors...I added salt and pepper and that in itself helped tremendously. I also added a little mustard and some mild banana peppers for crunch and a zing and that really made the sandwich great. The worker knew I had never been there before and didn't ask me if I wanted to add anything to the sandwich so I'm not sure if that was an option. The soup was good but again, needed salt and a little pepper. The brownie was good but tasted like sugar and wasn't as gooey as I had hoped. Overall, the food was pretty good but it could benefit from some much needed spices. Maybe they do that deliberately because everyone has different tastes and there are so many food allergies these days. I don't know. I took it home and doctored it up. The ingredients were very fresh, though, and the bread was very soft which was a big plus. Also, the chicken in the chicken salad was nice - not too soft but not hard - but the pieces were really big. I think a little too big. It was hard to eat the sandwich without the chicken falling out and one piece of the chicken was like 2-3 bites for me. I think I'd go there again just to try the Reuben sandwich. Overall, a nice little shop where the food is definitely better than "fast food."

Sometimes they have a golden bloody Mary, which is made with yellow tomatoes this also very tasty. A bonus is that you can choose any beer on tap for your chaser. Get the burger and truffle fries. The Horse and Plow is a great spot if you have a group or family where noise is not a bug but a feature. We came here on our second evening around 7:00 for dinner. Food: The menu has a good selection of beverages and pub-style food. There is an extensive list of whiskeys, including bourbon and rye, lots of beers, and some specialty cocktails. We settled on a draft beer and the Plum Crazy cocktail, which was super yummy. For food, they offer appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and a fish fry. There is even a Wagyu flat iron steak if you are interested in paying $75. We decided on the Double Butter Smashburger with truffle fries and the Walleye Fish Fry. The burger was good, although it could have been cooked a bit more to create more caramelized edges. The bun was good, but a bit too much bread for me, so I ate it open-faced. The truffle fries were delicious and could have been a meal in themselves. The walleye was battered and breaded with good texture, and the fish was flaky. I felt it was a bit overcooked, and the last several bites were very tough. Service: We did not have a reservation, and there were no tables available when we arrived. We took a spot at the bar, where the bartender got us an order of drinks. The service, both at the bar and at the table, was efficient but not especially friendly or outgoing. The food came out nice and hot, waters were kept full, and the check arrived promptly after the meal was finished. For those looking for a pub experience, this is a good spot. However, being at the American Club, I think I was looking for more of an elevated experience. This felt more like a place for a quick meal than somewhere I would feel compelled to return to. Atmosphere: It is a pub, and that is exactly what you get. It was very noisy at times, especially as larger groups were enjoying themselves.

Great higher-end grocery store near Woodlake Inn and in the strip mall area!…read more We were here for the weekend visiting, so weren't grocery shopping - but we had heard they made great breakfast and lunch sandwiches, so gave them our business a few times since we were staying at the hotel in walking distance. It was a bit on the pricier side, but seemed to fit the vibe of the store and clientele. I got a matcha in the morning (a bit grainier than I like) and a protein shake in the afternoon since I missed the 3pm food cutoff (which was a little chalky for my taste). The service was a bit slow and unfocused, so I ended up waiting a bit both times. I loved that they had complimentary samples of food and drink out - and both were delicious! Our friends that ate breakfast and lunch here raved about the food, but I wasn't able to get anything besides drinks during our stay.

I have found so many other reasons. Like their awesome in store Cafe, or their great deli/meat department. They also have a remarkable wine/liquor and beer section with so many unique spirits to chose from. All this is pretty remarkable for a small grocery store. The people who work there seem to be much more invested in their job compared to a regular chain grocery store. (And are mostly adults) Yes, the cost is most likely higher than big box, but to me it's worth (at least once in a while) a few more bucks to have better choices and great service.
