One of the best lunch spots in Sheboygan. The sandwiches are flavorful and creative. The salads are also surprisingly tasty. The fries are perfect, and the garlic aoli is tasty (I just don't get having to pay extra for it when you're already paying separately for the fries). The dining area is not the most comfortable, but it is clean. The service is always friendly and personable. I'd recommend stopping in for sure. (Especially if Field to Fork or Il Ritrovo are too busy) read more

You need to stop here. We stopped for lunch and oh my goodness, I wish this could be my regular burger place! When you walk in, you order at the counter and then go around the corner to their dining area. We ordered the truffle boom and the Notorious P.I.G.- and we are STILL raving about them. Your drink and sides aren't included with the price, but we were able to split an order of shareable sidewinder fries between the two of us. Drinks are bottle options, but they also offer a large dispenser for a free water option. It is a very trendy style stop, really catering to someone on their lunch break, a family stop, or your group of friends meeting for a catch up session! read more

Unique restaurant in a great downtown location. Inside is clean and spacious with lots of interesting art on the walls. Fun atmosphere. Though the menu is a little limited (mainly burgers, panini's, salads and soups) I'm sure you will find something you will like. They also have ice cream! I've had the toasted cheese twice and tried their soups. Toasted cheese is basically a cheese panini (you can get meat on it) it was crisp and tasty and I would recommend any soup! read more

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Work took me to Sheboygan (fun to say) and i just wanted to find a decent burger and, fingers crossed, hot crisp fries. To me, good French fries make an average burger better. Highly rated, a stop at the Local Press showed why. Casual atmosphere, happy employees, food cooked to order and served at the table, the Local Press Eatery was good news fit to print! The food! The atmosphere! The staff! It's is all amazing. We had a huge grilled cheese and and bacon sandwich, the Mac Daddy burger, large fried cheese, fried chicken sandwich, sidewinder fries, mac and cheese, and the Blue Jack burger. We stuffed ourselves because they food was so good we couldn't stop! Highly recommend and will come back, probably tomorrow read more

Great place for a true Smash Burger experience! I did my own creation: City Bakery roll, single Patty, bacon, blue cheese, egg, avocado & topped off with onion rings. Couldn't finish it all at once, great as a snack later. Will be back again soon! read more

Went here for a Saturday lunch with my relatively picky daughter, who had been pushing me to try this restaurant ever since it opened. The restaurant owner has done a very nice job redoing the space originally occupied by Harvest Cafe. The kitchen is fully visible to you when you order, and looks clean and professionally run. Both the counter area where you order and the seating area looked sleek and spotless. The people behind the counter were both friendly and efficient, and I learned from them that the owner had previously worked at the American Club. We were able to place our order immediately, and observe the food being made. The wait was about 15 minutes, which was eminently reasonable for burgers made to order. My kid was blown away by what she ordered, the Truffle Boom burger and truffle fries. While she is not easy to impress, her commentary ranged from "Phenomenal! Five Stars!" to "OMG! This is amazing!" I was able to steal a couple bites of each from her, and I must agree. Really an outstanding burger, juicy and perfectly cooked, and delicious fries. We especially loved the roasted mushrooms topping. I had the tomato bisque and bread. The bread was lovely , lightly toasted with butter and seasonings. The soup I found a trifle herbal for my tastes. However, I finished every drop. I truly wish we were allowed to give half as well as full stars, as I would give them 4 1/2. I may revisit this ranking later, as I would like to check out the sandwich portion of the menu, as well as their shakes. I don't like to give out a perfect score based on one visit. But given the quality of what we had, I will definitely be back, and I will be recommending Local Press to everyone. read more

We ate here this afternoon on our way back from Green Bay. We were intrigued with the possibility of a "Mother Clucker" chix sandwich. It was an interesting combination of ingredients and flavors. The staff was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. One thing...my husband thought their oil needed changing, but still, the food was good. Was passing through the area and in the mood for a non-chain burger. Yelp reviewers didn't disappoint - I really enjoyed the "Press Classic" burger and Garlic Breaded Cheese Curds. I'm a kind person so i'm not going to rag to hard. we arrived at the restaurant at about 11:55 and ended up canceling our order at 12:44 which wasn't even started yet. I'm not sure what failed today at this establishment whether it's management or employees. I will never waste my time going to this restaurant again. no communication that the order was going to take long throughout the 50 something minute experience. other customers were also having orders not made in a timely fashion. why even open up the restaurant for business that day if you cannot provide an order within 20-30 minutes. burgers do not take long to cook something failed today at local press and it lost a couple customers permanently and the chance to ever have a recommendation from me. read more

Excellent! Fast casual but nothing casual about the flavor. We had the cubano and ratatouille sandwich and the truffle fries and garlic cheese curds as sides. You must use the dipping sauces for the sides. The sides really shined! The kids ordered mac and cheese. It was gone so fast we couldn't even try it! They said it was great, by the way. Stopped in for lunch on a weekday. Pretty busy with most tables taken, but was able to order immediately and service was quick. I ordered the mother clucker sandwich. It is a hand breaded chicken breast with Cole slaw, avocado, bacon, cheese and chipotle mayo. It came out out steaming hot and was absolutely delicious. It was also huge. For the side I had their sweet potato fries. They were also piping hot and cooked to perfection with a good crunch on the outside. Prices were very reasonable. I love this place! I've been several times since they opened. I've tried the veggie sandwich, the shorty stack, two different burgers and the mother clucker. Every sandwich has been delicious! The first time I ordered the truffle fries they had skimped on the truffle oil. I've ordered them several times since then and they're so much better. I think they could stand to up the amount even more, but you definitely taste the truffle now. Definitely better than my first visit. Staff is super friendly and the service is great, especially for being counter service. A lot of counter service spots kind of forget about anything outside of the kitchen. Not this place. The staff at the Press keep the tables clean and check in with patrons on how they're doing. The only other thing I gotta say is that they usually don't ask how you want your burger done. So if you like it a certain way definitely speak up. Oh, and don't forget to tip!! read more

Good place to eat. We went here while staying at the Blue Harbor Resort. The employees were all friendly, and the food was good. I had the whole order of Mexican street corn. It was delicious, and I was nice and full when I finished. The fruit serving was large and was fresh. They're chocolate shake had the nice homemade taste. The interior was updated, but relaxing, and everything felt clean. read more

This is my third time to eat at the Local Press Eatery! I am definitely a fan! I have eaten the Truffle burger, Notorious PIG and tonight I had the Juicy Brucie. The burger was big mouthful! My main knock is that I ordered it with no pickles and they included pickles which overpowered the flavor of the bun for me. This is my second time to get an order delivered wrong in only three visits...as much as I don't like that, it's not a deal-breaker for me because the overall experience was great! Smart burger though. Nice toasted bun with lettuce barrier on the bottom and the fries were incredible. My wife's burger was delicious! She chose the potato bun instead of the hard roll. It was a nice juicy patty that was thick. Not over seasoned and a nice seared crust on the patty. We are definitely going to return. read more

Local Press have a nice burger menu. I had the ODB. A bacon cheeseburger on a glazed donut bun. They make a pretty solid tasty beef burger patty. The burger/ donut is a nice sweet and savory combination. Fresh cut French fries were enjoyable and the handmade strawberry shake was good. Needed a wider straw though with the fresh cut strawberries. I enjoyed and finished my whole meal and was very full. Nice staff and clean dining area. I do recommend this establishment. read more

They even has Sprite Zero so I couldn't have been happier. We ordered a double cheese burger, two sides of fries, and a double cheesesteak burger. This was essentially just a slightly larger and thicker burger. Both were excellent and were able to customise to our heart's delight! The fries were a little under seasoned for my liking, but salt and pepper were available. The ranch wasn't anything special, just premade from a pouch. The special of the day was a burger and cup of soup/chili, and I think we definitely were missing out there. It was super popular in the time we were there and the chili smelled incredible. And considering how hot the day was, it must have been really good for people to keep ordering it. When it came time to close out or check, we realised there was a "cash only" sign on the register. I'm usually really good about seeing these things ahead of time or looking for them on the door. So I apologise if it was posted upon entry, as well, but I did not see any signage for that other than at the register. Thankfully they do have an ATM on site inside if needed. The next time we are in the area we'll be back to try some of these other specials and goodies!
