Came in on an early Sunday afternoon with family. It was packed! It feels like an elevated George web to me. The service wasn't as quick/attentive as I would have thought even with it being busy. But the food was honestly phenomenal. The menu is huge it was almost hard to decide especially on an empty stomach. I ordered the apple French toast. The apples were cooked, the only thing I wish was that there was Carmel as an option for drizzle besides just maple syrup. I got to try the strawberry banana crepes- amazing! I almost wish I ordered those all for myself since I think they're a bit tricky to make at home I like to order those things when I'm out, and the combo was perfect. I also got to try the buffalo chicken wrap. It was a great portion. The spicy-ness was not overpowering, and the chicken was small enough that it was there but it wasn't overwhelming. The paper fringe under the coffee cups was a detail that stood out to me, I found it really cute and intentional. The presentation of the food seemed intentional and unison as well. Stopped in for a quick light lunch while on the road. I had the croissant with ham and cheese which came with a cup of soup, fries and a small side of fruit. I got the chicken dumpling soup and it was pretty good, homemade with nice chunks of chicken, veg and small dumplings. Tasty and the best part of the meal. The croissant had some slices of fried ham and a slice or two of processed cheese. Greasy and not at all appealing. The fries were passable and the small fruit cup was ok. We knew this establishment in its other life and came to revisit it since it's reopened. We like to support local businesses and missed it while they remodeled. We were not disappointed by having to wait ....it has been one of our go to breakfast places when visiting town a few times a year! Let me preface by saying, we went during Covid times. It's not particularly bad right now, but masks are still required and social distancing is still recommended. All restaurants I've been to, even in Sheboygan, were respecting social distancing and seating capacity rules, so I was very surprised to see that that was not the case at Cafe Bella. And considering that most everyone in there were either families or senior citizens, I was even more surprised that no one seemed to be at all concerned, and the restaurant is not set up to help with the situation, since everyone is required to pay up front, and there really isn't enough space for people waiting for tables and paying for their bills. The place remains popular though! They were pretty quick here with their food and service was always with a smile. Waters were refilled, food was good, tables and bathrooms were clean. It's a charming restaurant and it offers a huge menu with great prices. They even have the choice of fresh or from concentrate OJ, which I assume are different prices. The potato pancake wasn't that great, so I'd recommend sticking with their fruit or hash browns. We ordered the corned beef hash, the sausage breakfast burrito, the biscuits and gravy, and the 2+2+2. Corned beef hash: This was from the can, salty and soft. I don't mind it since I'm usually a fan of corned beef hash no matter what, but it was a little much. It came with eggs, so that helped cut the salt a bit, but if you're looking for something that helps with blood pressure, this isn't the dish. Sausage breakfast burrito: This was better, it was nicely toasted, so it had a crunch to it. It was served with salsa and sour cream, which were helpful in adding some additional flavor, because the burrito itself was nothing special on its own. It was just eggs, sausage, and cheese. Biscuits and gravy: This was probably the best of the four. Biscuits were tender, gravy had definite sausage flavor with the creaminess you come to expect from this dish. 2+2+2: It was what you would expect, nothing spectacular. But it wasn't a ton of food, so if you're hungry you might want to consider another entree! Comes with two eggs, two pancakes, and two meats - you get to pick from sausage, ham, and bacon. read more

although the decor was very nice, the food was the worst I and my friend have ever had! Karen had biscuit and gravy, not only did it look like puke it tasted like it. I had a fruit crepe. the waitress said there was a cream in it, well it looked and tasted like pudding was scooped over the crepes. I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. They close at 4:00 p.m. At 3:30 I was eating my food. They were vacuuming next to my table, counting the cash register, and staring at me like "why is she still here?" A person, not my server asked me if I wanted a to go box. No, I am eating. I was so uncomfortable that I asked my server the closing time. Since it was an half hour away, I thought I would have time to finish my taco salad. My waitress had already brought my check when I heard the owner/manager tell her to take it to me. I could plainly hear them talking about me. I immediately paid and scarfed down the rest of my meal. I tipped my server. She promptly left the building. At 3:46 I exited. I heard a loud definitive "click" as they locked the doors behind me. It was such an uncomfortable experience, I sat in my vehicle to write this review. It did not end there. The owner/manager came out and told me to move my vehicle because he had to put a chain across the entrance/exit to the parking lot. It was not even 4:00.
