The perfect old fashioned spot for an affordable lunch! Everything is flame broiled on an old charcoal grill and you can really taste the difference! Try the cheeseburger and some cheese puffs (curds) and you won't be disappointed by the taste or the price!

Food is decent and service is fast. Decently priced too. In general, the food isn't something to write home about but it is good. There is something about the calmness of its atmosphere that is great beyond a typical McDonalds visit or even Culver's and for that, I love this place.

Dbl Brat sandwich with mustard!! Really good!! They only accept cash!! There's an ATM if you don't have cash by the door.

Ill never forgive my Wisconsin family for not taking me here sooner. I had the double cheese steak which is simply a bigger and better burger with cheese. I started with a side salad. Oddly the burger came out wrapped in paper and no plate. It didn't last long enough for me to contemplate why. Don't see the point in ordering anything else here but you do you. I'm going back for the double cheese steak that's not close to a cheese steak.

Two words-charcoal grill. There is nothing fancy about Schulz's and that is the way I like it. A great diner serving outstanding food. Grab a double cheeseburger nestled between a Sheboygan hard roll and a side of fries and this is a lunch you dream about. The food here is extremely reasonable from a price point but bring cash as plastic isn't accepted. It is our go to spot (or Charcoal Inn) whenever we are in Sheboygan.

A Sheboygan favorite. No fancy frills here, just really great food! We had double cheeseburgers and fries, cooked over an old school charcoal grill. Perfectly done with a generous pat of butter on a REAL Sheboygan Hard Roll. Everything was great. Good people and fast service. Tip: hard to negotiate if handicapped.

Schultz's has excellent steak sandwiches. Fries were also very good. It also has a long counter you can sit at which was kind of cool.

f you're in Sheboygan and not eating at Black Pig, respectfully, what are we doing?…read moreThis meal had me wondering why I don't make the trip to Sheboygan more often! Black Pig was such a great find, and everything we tried was packed with flavor. We started with the White Truffle & Black Pepper Bacon Fries, because regular fries simply weren't invited. The truffle and black pepper added so much flavor, and these were the perfect way to kick things off. Next up was the Shellfish Rangoon, filled with crab, scallop, and shrimp and topped with tahini-cabbage slaw and pineapple sweet & sour. The combination of flavors was unexpected but worked so well. Then came the Black Pig Cheeseburger, an 8 oz Niman Ranch USDA All-Natural Prime Beef burger with Hooks 1-year aged cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a house-made brioche bun. The burger was flavorful, juicy, and satisfying. I finished with the Endless Rhubarb Summer mocktail, made with rhubarb shrub, lime, simple syrup, ginger ale, and dehydrated lime. It was refreshing and the perfect way to round out the meal. The service was amazing from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the entire experience even better. I also loved how spacious and clean the restaurant was. It has a comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to sit down, enjoy your meal, and stay awhile. Overall, Black Pig is absolutely worth the drive from Madison. Great food, creative flavor combinations, amazing service, and a spacious, clean atmosphere. I came hungry, and Black Pig definitely delivered.

As you might expect, the menu is decidedly pig-forward, although there are plenty of other excellent options. The Wine Spectator- recognized wine list is absolutely incredible, featuring many bottles you would be hard-pressed to find even at high-end restaurants in much larger cities. We started with the Belly Belly Nice appetizer, featuring thick-cut Duroc bacon served with three dipping sauces. All were delicious, but the whole-grain mustard was an absolute must. The duck confit leg and thigh was ridiculously good, easily one of the five best duck dishes I've ever had. Others at our table enjoyed the Big Pig Burger, which was juicy and packed with unique flavors. Another standout was the grilled Ibérico pork pluma, which was prepared beautifully. I would make a special trip back to Sheboygan just to eat here again. It was truly that good!

Like I said before, the sandwiches arrived the size of an adult's head. Jar dropping is a fitting description of what we looked like when our server placed the sandwiches before us. The homemade bread was soft and delicious. The chicken club easily had half a pound of cooked bacon on it. Before we ever took our first bites, we knew we would need to go boxes. Wait, did I mention we had the most wonderful cheese curbs as an appetizer? Worth ordering but only if you split a sandwich!! There are a handful of booths in the front area along with seating along the bar. TVs in the main room. There is also a back room that would hold maybe another 40 people. This tavern has been in place for years under different names. I would love to hear the history. I could see a set up that would have been particularly useful for gambling & drinking during prohibition. The staff was very efficient and helpful. One person out front & one in back. Never had to wait.

My wife had a reuben burger and I had blue cheese. Both were great. We ate at the bar and split some fries. Our bartender/server was terrific. Usual small bar charm. Their was a back room which I saw when using the restroom. Expect leftovers unless you can eat 2 half pound burgers. They have a 5 1/2lb. burger in one hour challenge which I can't even comprehend trying. We will return.

The menu is jam-packed with delicious options, and our group had a hard time narrowing down our selections! We started by sharing the traditional mild Buffalo wings, burnt ends, and armadillo eggs. The wings were huge, meaty, and packed with an amazing smoked flavor. The burnt ends were incredibly tender, falling apart and practically melting like butter in your mouth. Amazingly, I still had room for the turkey Reuben with waffle fries. It was an interesting twist and a slightly healthier alternative to a traditional Reuben. They also offered a great selection of local beers on tap. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful as we worked our way through the extensive menu. If you tell us the wait is 40 minutes and we are seated in 45 minutes, we won't complain. But if you say the wait is 10-15 minutes and we have to inquire about what's going 40 minutes later and it turns out you can seat us immediately, the front of the house management is not doing their job very well. (At least it was pleasant outside and we enjoyed strolling up and down the marina checking out all the boats while we were waiting.) Once we were finally seated, everything was fine. Our server greeted us promptly. Drinks were delivered shortly after we placed our order and the food came to the table not long after that. I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad. Compared to BBQ brisket I've had elsewhere I'd give it a six out of ten, not bad but far from the best (but I really didn't expect a place in Sheboygan to top places in Kansas City or Memphis for example). I sampled all their sauces (none of which wowed me) before settling on one that brought a touch of heat to the palate. The potato salad was a tad one-note -- it needed a touch of acid and a bit more texture, I.e. crunchy vegetables. All in all, Parker John's was okay -- but I won't be rushing back anytime soon.
