Great job on our Patio cover. Professional service, reasonable prices and on time. Project turned out perfect.

I was having my patio done right when the COVID lockdowns started, but Sunbusters came in on price and completed the job on the first day they could come back out like they promised. It came out great and they gave me several options that gave better warranty then the one I had picked. read more

Sunbusters - 4 LED lights and ceiling fan, paint matches trim of house also - Patio Coverings Near Me - Pittsburg, California

Just had a large and beautiful awning installed along the side of my house. Couldn't be happier with the quality, the attractiveness and the crew working on this. The crew were punctual and kept me well informed of what was happening. So looking forward to being outside in the shade. I'd gladly recommend this business to anyone who is looking for very nice awnings. read more

Sunbusters saved the day! We moved in during a terrible rainstorm to a house we just purchased. Of course, we walked in on a leaky roof and huge puddles in our sunroom. Continuous storms haunted us and until we could get someone willing to help, we had to use the old pot trick to catch all the water coming out from the leaks. Called around and nobody in the area wanted to touch our sunroom (I guess due to being someone else's work). We looked up the license # for the original builder and NO LUCK. The license expired 3 years after the business opened in 2005. FIGURES! Kept calling, kept calling, and Sunbusters thankfully gave us a chance! The owner came in and inspected the entire sunroom from top to bottom. Turns out, the sunroom's roof wasn't even sealed AT ALL by the original builder. Sunbusters provided us with a more-than-reasonable quote for the fixes and replacement leaky sunlight. We moved forward and they called us within a couple weeks (after the heavy rains) to get the job done. We are so impressed with the quality and quick turnaround by these guys. The workers did a great job and were extremely professional. 5 stars! We just had another bout of heavy rains and NO LEAKS. SUNBUSTERS FOR THE WIN. THANK YOU! read more

Sunbuster's has been a good company to work with, but I do think they need a quality control person to check each job or to check the work intermittently. I - like others here have had to have them come back out to fix poor or incomplete work. To their credit, Sunbusters sent out folks to correct certain aspects of their work. The end product (my patio cover) is a solid five, but the fact that I had to call them back out to fix their work takes a star from that rating. The other issue that drops off a star is follow-up work installing a drop-down shade. The price for a pretty large shade was about 1700 dollars. The material is good quality and it works as advertised. However, considering the money spent and the finished high-quality of the original patio-cover, I am not totally happy with the look of the drop-down shade or how it was installed. Simply put - It looks "gerry-rigged" and low quality in comparison. I would have expected some type of decorative approach with the ground bolts into the stabilizing straps (see photo). I certainly didn't expect them to be permanently attaching two silver boat dock style tie-offs on to my home (see photo). Lastly, the multiple small pulleys seem like they could be a problem in the future as they rub against each other (wear and tear: see photo). In the end, I talked to Alan and asked if these things were properly installed and he stood by the work as is. Lesson learned on this one - not worth the 1700.00. Probably could have done this myself for far less. In the end - Sunbuster's was pretty good on the intiial patio cover install but I wouldn't go back to them for the sun shades. read more

Sunbusters was great to work with from start to finish! Their crew, led by Jesse, did an awesome job with tear down, install and clean up! Their attention to detail was superb in every aspect! We love our new patio cover! Small snafu with needing larger, more expensive base plates but they made it right and all worked out in the end! Great customer service to Sam! Overall, couldn't be happier with the communication, work done and experience with this company! Excellent job to all that we worked with and the on-site crew! I have already recommended Sunbusters to two friends that asked me about my new cover! read more

My wife and I are pleased with the craftsmanship and look forward to spending time out under it. We had 3 quotes, all were great companies but Sunbusters came through on price and service. read more

I highly recommend Sunbusters. Amazing quality work. Great customer service. Best prices in comparison to other companies. The owner Allan along with Kariem were super helpful through out the whole process. Even months after work has been completed, they have helped me with planning along other projects that have come up recently. They won't leave you hanging out dry once the work is done. read more

Sunbusters provided an amazing experience. From the day we were quoted to the day of install my wife and I felt as though we received a personalized experience. We were able to work closely with the sales agent, the owner, and the crew that came to the house to make sure we received exactly what we wanted at a price that worked well for my family. Our overhang has transformed our backyard and has made it a usable space. Tony from Sunbusters was supposed to come to my house today at 10:30. 11:30 and nothing, so I called and a lady told me that Tony would call me right away. I hung up, and 2 hours later no call, no show. If this is how they roll when they are trying to impress a customer, I can't imagine how they'll work once you're hooked with payments. Shame, because I was really looking forward to work with these guys based on their great reviews. I might give them another chance if they show they care and call me and show up at the time we agree. Maybe then I can remove or update this review. If you still see this review, it means they didn't even care to check Yelp or to get back to their possible customers. read more

Very happy with the work done by Sunbusters! We needed to replace the cheap patio cover put in by the previous owner of our home. Jason came promptly, listened to what we had to say, measured and gave us an estimate that was right on! The only downsides were two: one, Sunbusters is very popular and we had to wait several weeks before they could do the work. Second, there was not a lot of clarity around the cost that the city charged to certify the work (Most people don't go this route, however, it made sense to me). Still, when the work was completed it was done really right! In fact, my neighbors love the work and asked the workers on the spot if they could do their houses! Way to go, Sunbusters! read more

They seem pretty sketchy to me. Agreed to come to my house a week ago, set the date and time, and then today called me (sounded like kids in the background) to say they "no longer service your area" which is Oakland. They honestly didn't know that last week? For all I know, they might be great, but this certainly doesn't seem to inspire confidence. read more

How am I the first to review this company? I recently had Sunbusters install an alumawood patio cover for my backyard. We couldn't be happier with the product, the service and the quality! Jason was the rep who came out and gave us the quote. The company is family owned and are very honest. They also seemed very reasonably priced. Jason put no pressure on the sale. He brought many products to the consultation so we could see and touch what we were considering. The install ended up only taking one day and we absolutely LOVE our new patio cover. We were coordinating this project with paver installs and unfortunately the other company was very difficult to work with and didn't want to coordinate with Sunbusters. Lucky for us, Sunbusters was very flexible and wanted to ensure we were happy. They mentioned that they get repeat customers who have moved and I know that I will be one of them if the occasion ever arises! read more

Well well well!!! I have many positives to say about this company....first, the owner Jason is super personable, has great communication and customer skills, and on top of it, is honest and very knowledgeable about what the customer wants! Second, Terry and his crew who built the structure we very professional from beginning to all the finishing work. Nothing left in question, nothing left me wondering. The patio cover is exactly as discussed with Jason during our consultation and we couldn't be more happier!!! Oh and you WILL NOT spend a crazy amount of money to get what you want, price is SUPER reasonable! We HIGHLY recommend Sunbusters! read more

We hired Sunbusters in Brentwood to remove an old patio cover and replace it with a new, modern and beautiful 12' x 14' structure. The removal and replacement were done in two days by a crew of the most industrious, pleasant and capable young men led by the foreman, Jesse. Their attention to detail was superb. As a retired general contractor the job totally exceeded our expectations. From our initial meeting with Kariem McFarlin of sales; periodic contact with Sam from the front office the entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. Best, the total price is reasonable. This is a high quality and excellent product and the business organization and its personnel are wonderful. M/M David Bessie Hercules, CA read more

We just had a patio cover /pergola installed by SunBusters and it couldn't have gone better. The designer/rep Janice was knowledgeable and thorough in going thru options but also quick and efficient. Their price was very competitive Ca competition. There was a bit of delay waiting on permits but that's the city's issue. Once materials arrived the installation by David & Kenny was quick in just a few days. They cleaned up after every day and we had one quick follow up visit to check a few details and done. They finished the patio cover within two days. Would've been one day but it was about a foot short of what I asked. Allen did a quick fix on the first post by adding some shelving. My family and I are satisfied. It matches the house and it was a good price for the work and how it looks. read more

From start to finish this company was top notch! Janice came out and gave us an estimate and helped us brainstorm design ideas. She always answered calls and questions in a timely manner. Once we signed a contract, Alan, the owner came out to confirm that the installation was going to go smoothly. On the day of the installation, the crew showed up and worked extremely hard to get the install done in one day! They were respectful, professional and did an outstanding job. If you are in the market for a patio cover, definitely consider Sunbusters. I recently had Sunbusters install a custom pergola in my back yard, from start to finish the whole process was very smooth! I just want to start out by saying I would HIGHLY recommend Sunbusters to anyone looking for a new patio cover! My new patio cover is so beautiful and we are extremely happy with it! We were recommended by a friend to replace our old patio cover! Boy oh boy are we happy that we went with Sunbusters. We had such wonderful service! First: Sam was so nice and accommodating! We had to wait so long due to the pandemic, during the wait Sam was so good about keeping us updated. It was so nice to know that the company truly does care about their customers! Second: My installers Kenny and Ray were also amazing! They worked so hard and they were very welcoming and friendly. We felt like they were family! These 2 guys were very professional and wanted to make sure we were fully satisfied before they left. Third: We are so pleased with our overall experience with Sunbusters! We live in Trilogy and have Lexan glass put in our patio. We were pleased with the work initially. However over the pass few years the windows have been yellowing and have cracks. We only have used one professional window cleaner who only uses dawn soap. When we found out that several people were having the same issue we called Sun Busters. We also reviewed are contract. It did not disclose that discoloration would occurr nor did it state that any specific cleaning material should be used or avoided. After talking to others they warned us that the interaction with the owner would be constational ,rude and defensive. Unfortunately that is exactly what occurred. When he said we should of used a specific cleaner and I said I didn't know and it wasn't on the contract. He was rude ,disrespectful and walked away. I was warned. I also was told that he would offer to replace the glass with screens. Several homes have done just that. After doing research we found that this yellowing and cracking happens over time. If the gentleman would of said that instead of attacking us this situation would be different. This is a warning for all my Senior residences who have installed Lexan: Sunbusters will be back for a price and replace them with screens. read more

Had my patio cover installed a few weeks ago and couldnt be more happy and satisfied with the way it came out. Alan and team exceeded my expectations and i had a great experience with every employee I interacted with in his company. I submitted a price quote request through the manufacturer Duralum website and they sent it to their recommended installer for my area: Sunbusters!! Alan the owner came out to my home on a days notice and spent over 1.5 hours with me going over all my questions. He was knowledgeable, totally chill and didn't pressure me at all. I had a really good feeling coming out of our meeting but still decided to get a few more price quotes from about 3 other companies for peace of mind. Sunbusters had the best overall value and they were able to start the job in a week while others had 6-8 weeks before they can start the job. Our patio cover came out AMAZING and the installers (David and Kenny?) were extremely meticulous and masters in their craft. We decided to go with a 4 post system instead of a 3-post system which would have a middle post obstructing the center of our yard. The installers custom cut planter shelves for us to use for plants or as a small bar shelf for setting down drinks or bbq supplies while im grillin outside. They turned out awesome. I even had them extend the surround sound speaker wires from inside my living room to the outside so i can install outdoor speakers later. This patio cover completely transformed our small backyard and made it a useable living space. We are very happy we did it and feel like we really made the right choice with Sunbusters. Quality work, great service and best value is what you can expect. read more

Sunbusters is awesome! We recently had our patio cover installed and it is beautiful! The entire experience from initial phone calls, to in person consultations, to the actual building of the cover was great. Eric is so amazing!!! I had a patio cover installed by Petkus Brothers who cut into my stucco when they installed my covers. After contacting them, emailing and texting them (Petkus Bros) I was getting no where. I needed them to remove the cover (we paid $20k) so the stucco repair could be done. They refused to return my call, text and emails. I contacted Eric from Sunbusters and even though he had nothing to do with what happened he was willing to help. Eric can out, removed the cover where the leak was so it could be repaired and will be coming back out to reinstall after the repairs are complete. I cannot thank Eric enough for helping with a problem that Petkus refused to help with. read more

This is the second house I have had Sunbusters install a patio cover on. I believe the first house actually sold with more interest as the backyard structure was a crowd favorite during walk throughs with the realtors. I have built covers before out of wood and just decided I liked this aluminum and steel structure better for longevity and aesthetic reasons. I like the added recessed lights, the electrical outlets and ceiling fans integrated for my backyard oasis by the pool. I even plan to add pool heater solar panels eventually. I went for the upgraded stucco columns and reinforced beams for longer spans with less support columns. I get a lot of compliments on the structure from guests and neighbors. David and Kenny installed my structure and were very professional and even helpful with some suggestions and improvements from my original design. Minor tweaks that I'm very happy with now that it is complete. I am very satisfied with the service and quality of the product. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use them again and again! read more

Very satisfied with the work done. The main reason for selecting them was that they respected the concerns I had about penetrations in my metal roof and were willing to work with new mounts (no exposed penetrations) that my solar installer had come up with. We actually didn't end up going with this contractor for the patio, but solely because we preferred a contractor who could do the concrete for our patio as well. Even though we didn't choose them, I'd highly recommend them to anybody looking to put a patio cover on top of an existing concrete patio! read more

I have been remiss in submitting this review, but better late than never. Sunbusters installed a shade structure for our home in Discovery Bay. We cannot say enough concerning the quality of their service and product. The service aspect of Sunbusters' work exceeded any reasonable expectations we might have had when we first contacted the company for a quote. Tiffany, the representative with whom we interacted concerning design and pricing, displayed the patience of a saint in back and forth exchanges over many months that consumed sales time she could well have chosen to dedicate to earning commissions from more motivated prospects. To comply with the approval parameters of our community's CC&Rs, we moved forward with installation to avoid the need to resubmit our plans. From a design standpoint, Tiffany narrowed the normal spacing of the "rails" that provide the structure's shade, a change that has proven crucial to the utility of the structure. While in Paris, France on a well-deserved vacation, she even responded to a text concerning an installation question. Sorry about that Tiffany, but you truly are amazing. Our installation experience was no less compelling. During the process we questioned the placement of the wire supplying power for a ceiling fan. Alerted to our concern, by Tiffany via Paris, Sunbusters' owner, Alan, drove to our home to assess the situation. He explained that the installer had concerns regarding the roof surface under roofing tiles adjacent to the structure. Nevertheless, instead of leaving the wire in place, Alan addressed our concern by directing the installer to procure roofing materials. Alan then climbed onto our roof to help remove adjacent tiles, install the materials and reinstall the tiles. No charge. Amazing. The drop-down shades we ordered for our structure typically are installed with a single hook to secure them at their maximum drop length. We wanted two secure points instead of instead of one. No problem. No charge. We were concerned about the straps for the hooks tearing in the strong Discovery Bay winds. No problem. Sherman was kind enough to give us a couple of replacement straps that I could install in case that happened. No charge. Amazing. We have now had the structure for approximately nine months. We have had no issues with it whatsoever. Prior to Sunbusters' work, my wife and I found ourselves in the position of having invested a very significant amount of money to demolish and remove a huge rotting deck and rotting shade structure that we replaced with a new and improved deck and patio. The heat and glare from our western exposure to the setting sun severely limited our ability to enjoy the fruits of that investment. Because of Sunbusters' work, over the past months we have spent many late afternoons on our deck talking, watching the diverse water fowl on the golf course and, of course, enjoying a glass of wine (or two.) Thank you Sunbusters. Job well done. read more
