I contacted Gerardo and he sent one of his workers to recaulking the water link, but two days later starting to link again. I left him a msg and he never call me back. On 12/12/24 Toledo Construction's (TC) guys came back out and put support beams in the crawlspace to seemingly make the floor level and to fix the cracked grout issue. They did re-grout the floor, but surprise surprise, the grout started cracking again in the same areas a week later. Needless to say, we won't be reaching out to Gerardo because we literally can't deal with the junk work from this junk company. Please note that prior to the bathroom renovation, I made it very clear to Gerardo that there was an issue with the flooring and that it wasn't level. He included an estimate in the contract I. case it was needed, but then said the floor was fine. Since he was juggling our job and others, and unable to rely on his workers due diligence the grout started to crack. It wasn't until the 3rd week that he finally realized the floor needed extra support beams in the crawl space. Had he listened to me and paid attention he would have realized this earlier. Sadly, in the end, none of this mattered. In response to Gerardo asking me to post pictures of after they "fixed" some of the issues, well you would hope that everything was resolved and that I wouldn't need to. The point of this post is to show the continual problems and headache this "company" is to deal with. The towel rack was never properly installed until I did it myself. Why would I have to do this work when I already paid for it to be done by TC? BTW, he said everything would be perfect and that I wouldn't need to clean or do anything once they were done. That was a lie. Also, when we signed the contract, we paid for the proper installation of everything. We didn't sign a contract for "first time installation attempt." Lol What a joke. Why would we need to pay extra for his workers lack of skills. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. How about hiring people with experience, doing the job right, and the first time. People, please don't think twice about using this company. I swear I'm saving you so much grief, time and money. read more

I chose Gerardo based on the many positive Yelp reviews and hired him to provide an estimate for a commercial project (building a platform and installing a utility sink) under urgent circumstances, as my landlord required this work before reopening. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. * Poor communication: He often took days to respond to messages, which made coordinating very stressful. * Quick to take payment: He accepted $150 for the estimate right away, but after that, communication and follow-through were lacking. * Lack of professionalism: Although he initially agreed to take on the job, his actions suggested little interest in completing it. I tried to put some good faith into it and tried to tell myself that he has great yelp reviews and maybe I'm just catching him at a really busy time because it's such a small project however his actions just cannot excuse how terrible this went. * Unreliable and unprofessional: Although he initially agreed to take on the job, he showed little interest in actually completing it. Despite repeated follow-ups, he eventually became completely unresponsive and ghosted me. * Negative impact: Because of this, I was forced to scramble to find backup contractors at the last minute, which caused unnecessary stress and delays in reopening. In the end, the project was never completed, and I was left without the work I urgently needed. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Gerardo for reliable or professional service. Now, if Gerardo had been upfront from the beginning and said that he didn't want to take the job - he could've at least earned my respect and this rating would've not been so low. RESPONDING TO HIS COMMENT BELOW Let me address the misrepresentation and his response- This was an urgent time, sensitive commercial job tied to our required reopening timeline, we were trying to accommodate the landlord and his ridiculous request but he has the upper hand hes the landlord . We never once asked for a discount or anything that would short this guy. We just needed a safe platform for clients and the most affordable and you're trying to twist and turn things.
