I needed ready mix concrete for a patio and path at my house. If we got bags from Home Depot it…read morewould require 100s of bags and would not be practical. The company my concrete guy typically uses was busy. So I called S.B. Cox. I was shocked they answered at 6pm. I asked about color and was told to come by and look at the samples. They had a lot of variety. I ended up selecting smoke which is one of their most popular colors. Their price, especially for the color addition is not the cheapest. But they were easy to deal with and flexible. They were helpful and advised me what psi to get and suggested I paid an extra $9 a yard to have fiber added to help prevent against cracks. My installer was running behind they managed to deliver 2 hours later than scheduled. Also brought 2 extra yards and the truck was here until 8pm on a Friday so we could finish the job.

The guy was 5 days late delivering my concrete. Not only was it a shortage of concrete, he ruined…read moremy driveway rinsing his truck and refused to clean the mess he made to my driveway; stating that it would disappear. I contacted the office to address the issue and Matt said he would come out and assess the problem. I left follow up messages, no response. I received a call from Jacob and he said he would send someone to top off the concrete and clean my driveway; he called back 30 minutes later saying he couldn't assess the issue because he was on his way to Doswell. He called back minutes later after changing into Jekyll/Hyde saying he did not want to talk to me about his guy not doing his job. I reminded him that I am the homeowner, therefore I had every right to address said issues. He called back minutes later (claiming a courtesy call) to tell me the contractor (working on my shed) is liable for the Mess his guy Made .His tone was rude and unprofessional and he stuttered A Lot. It is obvious that S. B. Cox ready mix will not accept liability for their errors.

My 10-mo lease has ended. So, I felt compelled to write an honest review. Overall, I've had a…read morecomfortable stay here with no hassles. Pros: * My top floor apartment faced Wilkes Ridge Parkway. I had no noise issues. * Clean. NO rodents, litter or bugs in my unit or any of the common areas that I've seen. * Beautiful community surrounded by trees. If you're a nature lover like me, this will appeal to you. * Online payment system (cards accepted) * Quiet neighborhood, off the beaten path of Broad street. * Resident events every month. * Interstate access to 64 * Lots of amenities nearby - groceries, bars, restaurants etc. Cons: * Only one trash receptable for such a large complex doesn't make sense logistically. * Price per sq ft. is expensive compared to other nearby communities. * My floorplan (Tyler), bedroom was on the smaller side. I was able to fit a queen bed, but only 1 of my nightstands. * Typical suburban living. I prefer urban areas, but chose this location as it's super close to my work client's location. * Short term leases over here are too expensive as compared to other places I looked at around Richmond. Bottom line: Moderately priced, recently constructed complex in the Short Pump area with a community feel. Updated 7/24/17 - I left the apartment perfectly clean with only a bulb missing from one of the track lighting fixtures, that I pointed out during the walk thru. Also, I expected a $45 charge for carpet cleaning. Yet, from my $250 deposit I received a check for only $138. No itemized bill explaining the extra charges accompanied the check. Guess the management company didn't feel I needed to know why they kept my money. Very shady. Deducted one star. In my history of renting, I have never not received my entire deposit back after completing a lease term.

I really enjoyed my time at Retreat at West Creek. Jacob, Sam and the entire maintenance team is…read moreawesome. I saw posts about bugs but I never really had a problem that was out of the ordinary. People though do need to remember that although you are minutes away from short pump, you are in the middle of the woods. The woods have bugs so I think some of the comments are a little much.

Ok, as a new homeowner/quarantiner/plant novice, I have been to Home Depot more over this summer…read morethan I have in my entire life. So far, I believe I prefer this location over the one near Libby only because it's centrally located to other places I need to go. I can park and hit up HD, Target, Best Buy, World Market, and Kohls (yes, Kohls. They have a good selection of toddler clothes, okay!). I do really like how they've expanded their website to carry more than just hardware type of My one gripe with HD? Their pickup service is extremely slow. I cannot with them. You are much better off going in to get the item yourself. Even the pickup desk is wretched. A solid 3 stars.

I went to this Home Depot location Saturday evening to purchase lumber and have it cut. I asked the…read morecheck-out associate working closest to the lumber area if they had staff available to cut wood and they said yes. I gathered the needed lumber products in my cart and proceeded to the lumber area after letting the associate know I needed help there, and they called it out on their loudspeaker system. No one arrived after 10 minutes so I asked other associates and they also radioed it in. Finally, after another 15 minutes with no staff, I went back up to the associate from before and they informed me no one was available to help cut the lumber since their supervisor had left. This was a huge waste of my time and a profoundly unprofessional experience, with staff members more focused on chatting with each other about non-work related matters than on customers needing assistance. I hate that all of the mom and pop shops went out of business thanks to places like this who fail to perform the bare minimum for their customers.
