I've been going to Sunbelt since I moved out here 2 years ago. They've always done a good job with my oil changes. This last time though left me feeling nervous about their car knowledge. My car was doing this shaking motion and they said it was the spark plugs so they fixed that for $175. The car was still having the same issues but not as bad so I took it back. The guy did a diagnostic on the car and told me that it was because I was using unleaded gas instead of premium. I drive a 2017 Jeep Cherokee and i've BEEN using unleaded gas and you're telling me that ALL OF A SUDDEN it's the gas? I drive a jeep, now a bmw. Tbh, he probably didn't know what was wrong with it and that's fine. Be honest. They're a smaller shop so they may not have the equipment. I took it to the Jeep place in Scottsdale and they said it was the ignition coil that was causing misfires. They fixed the car and I haven't had issues since. I really did like you guys but probably won't be back after this experience. Do better. If you don't know then say that, don't lie. You look very untrustworthy now. I came in because my air wasn't getting cold, I was told I needed a recharge and it was going to cost me $200 I also had to go and purchase and replace my own cabin air filter that cost an additional $50. Come to find out he knew it was my compressor the whole time, BUT because he was short on time that day he just took the $200 to recharge the air and as I was leaving told me that it probably won't be cold until I get a cabin air filter so I drove right to Napa and got the air filter. I brought my car back up because it was now hotter than it was before, he never came out and looked at my vehicle he just immediately says "okay then it's your air compressor and that'll be around $1200." If he knew my air compressor was bad and he was short on time he could've told me and I would've got the service done another day but instead he took a couple hundred dollars from me knowing that what he was doing was never going to fix the problem. Very disappointed, my family and I have been getting our cars serviced through him for years and it's disappointing to see he's starting to become "one of those mechanics" and ripping people off while times are hard. read more

Went in because my 2010 Impala was going into traction control, and the engine problem indicator light was always on... 1st got a needed oil change, just in case that would fix it, but it didn't. Seems it is an electronic part with built in obsolescence... any how they worked on it quickly and well... and when the indicator light came back on again afterwards due to some setting, they fixed it right away, and were super friendly about it... Hearing them talk to others who obviously know more about cars than I do, they seem to know their stuff.... all I know is they didn't try pushing a lot of unnec work, and were quick, efficient helpful and friendly- try them, you'll see what I mean... I do know that the oil change was very reasonably priced, and quickly done... the rest of the work seemed exc to me, though I am far from an expert...I am very happy with them...and the job they did...-Jeff read more

After the work was completed (perfectly) they let me know that my water pump was not working at the proper capacity. I was advised to drive for a little bit and let them know. Well they were right so I brought it back in. Now my engine is the v6 inverted and my water pump replacement required several hours of labor as well as replacement of the timing chain. If you know cars, you understand what an extensive and completely time consuming repair it was. They were so awesome, caring and meticulous. My car has never run better. They took such good care of me. They actually showed me the broken parts that were causing my issues. Please help this heaven sent local ANGEL. Stopped in on a Sunday as I needed my car looked at immediately and they happened to be open. Now that I've been here, I'll be coming back no matter what day it is. They're awesome. Looked at my car immediately, told me the issue and what I needed to do to maintain it moving forward. They gave me the best and least expensive option as they told me there was no need to overspend to do any major unnecessary fixes. They also have a very clean and spacious waiting room. Just an all around awesome experience with a friendly group of guys who, most importantly, know what they're doing. They're honest and dependable. It's like he does the work just enough to make you think it's fixed but it's never really fixed and you're constantly back in his shop for the same issues over and over. He is always rushing and always making up prices as he goes. He'll tell me one price and come back and forget to told me that price and ask for higher and when I remind him he said a different price he immediately "remembers" and goes back to his original price. He's definitely gone downhill and while in the waiting room I was listening to another customer saying the same thing I am saying now. Unbelievable people can sleep at night knowing they're literally ripping off hard working people. read more

The owner of this company remained personally involved in the extensive repair of my 1994 Mustang. The car had many problems including bad plugs, pump, alternator, battery, out of balance tires, and much more. The car now purrs like a race car and is a pleasure to drive and was returned with a wash, wax and high gloss buffing. The value received for the cost was exceptional. I experienced alternator failure on a Friday afternoon and stopped in to Sunbelt Auto to have them check it. They determined the alternator needed to be replaced. Even though they were getting ready to close for the day, they jumped right on it and had it changed out very quickly. My wife and I would have had to leave the truck there and wait until Sunday to get it back. This is above and beyond service for which they will be getting all my work now. By far the best shop period. I went to 2 different shops including the Honda Dealership. They said I need new brake pads and some additional work. I called here to get a quote and bought my car in. The mechanic came out and tols me I didn't need any pads. He bought the old pads out to me and compared them to new ones. I still had over 75% left. Shame on these other places trying to take peoples hard earn money. This place is honest and now have my business 100% read more
