    Ozone machine no connection un able to run pool.

    2/17/2027 Update sill not able to run my pool for 3 months. My advice to all that are dealing with problems with Sun State is go straight to AZROC (ARIZONA REGISTRATION OF CONTRACTORS) ALSO CONTACT Chris Mayes ( Attorney General ) and last but not least file in court. You All have blessed day! Buyer beware I started this pool in January and Sun State still has not made my contract whole. Right now my 2 lights do not work from day one.Sunstate will lead you on week after week I have had enough. See the picture of my Ozone machine I can not run my pool at all. It's warming up and my pool is turning green. I will be posting all of my issues from day one of my build...think twice before signing with this company. Update 2/11/2026 Hi Gary, your lights are now working, and a light switch has been installed so you can easily operate them. Additionally, the technician disconnected the whip to the HydroPure. Your pump can still run this way; however, we are unsure who disassembled your HydroPure unit. Please note that the warranty will not cover it if it has been taken apart by anyone other than the authorized team. Any unauthorized tampering voids the warranty. My reply. Bella, you call this a fix? The HydroPure was disassembled by the the people you sent for warranty work. Im pretty sure thats how you know it needs to be replaced. I have no intention to personal fixing sun state problems and warranty. Please see your teams fix to run my pool, unacceptable! Please replace ozone unit ASAP! As for the lights in pool, Sun State now owes me the deferents between 10.00 light switch and color logic controler listed in my contract. So to recap your company has managed to add insult to injury. Please see pics of fix.

    Here's an update; I'm pleased to say the funds, Sun State Pools owed me was finally paid. It was a long process with this company. I should've left sooner, but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. When I finally left, my pool was finished by another company within five days. I will stick to the fact that Communication is not their strongest suit. The workmanship is a mediocre. I'm glad it's finally done.

    We signed a contract with Sun State Pools Sept. 21, 2024 and work commenced JuIy 1, 2025 as agreed. The contract states the work is to be completed within 90 days. I have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and being treated by Mayo clinic. The pool is supposed to be used for my physical recovery and therapy and was assured by Sun State Pools that the pool would be on time in Sept. We made payments in accordance with the contract and made the last major payment on Aug. 27th, 2025 when we reached the 85% holdback threshold and were told it was to pay for the labor and materials to complete the pool. Almost immediately, we started to experience significant delays in work progress and little to no communication. We repeatedly asked to talk to the owner, Mike Dilger, and finally had a conversation with him on Sept 12th, and he assured us he was aware of the issues and would take care of them. Nothing changed. We have tried repeatedly to work with the company for months and find out what is causing the delays. In the couple of conversations we have had with company representatives, they tell us "we are at the top of their list" and then nothing changes. Workers come out for a few hours and then days/weeks go by with no work progress. There is little to no communication for weeks and we have no idea when our pool will be completed. We have been very patient and feel the company gave us no choice, so we filed a complaint with the ROC on 12/5/25 but were told the complaint was dismissed since workers did show up (once) and did not meet the 60 day threshold of abandonment. On 12/19/25 we have filed a second ROC complaint. On 12/19/25, we also filed a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office and also filed a complaint with BBB on 12/21/25. There has been no work done for the past two weeks and we wonder if the company is angry that we filed the ROC complaint and is retaliating against us. As of this date, it is almost 6 months and work is approximately 60% finished. The photos are as of 12/21/25.

    The owner of this company, Rod, got right back to me within minutes. I was a little panicked…read morebecause my pool wasn't operating properly and I was about to have a large pool party. Despite the fact it was after hours (evening before the party), Rod actually spent 20 minutes with me via FaceTime to diagnose the problem, assist me with repairing a valve and priming a pump. He provided me with specific instructions and he was able to get everything working again all via FaceTime. HE DIDNT CHARGE ME ANYTHING! He was sympathetic to my time critical situation, and he genuinely wanted to be helpful. He would not accept any money despite my insistence. You just don't see this type of authentic integrity anymore. Excellent work ethic, extremely knowledgeable, quick response, and he didn't feel right charging me simply because he wasn't there in person. The FaceTime instruction was extremely educational and his thorough step-by-step guidance was spot on. He was very patient with me. Other companies said it would be $475 just to come out and take a look. This is the only company I will use for all my future pool service needs. Hard to find people like Rod these days. In the end, they were also super flexible with my schedule and needs. They did a fantastic job and answered all my questions while here, even going so far as to explain all the parts and operation of the sand filter midway through the process. I appreciate all the help, flexibility and information!

    In late March 2024 we contracted with Fowler's to service our pool, spa and water feature. We…read morechose them because they had a very high rating on Yelp. During the initial months, their service was outstanding. At their recommendation we had them replace multiple components to our system. Their initial performance resulted in me writing a five star review on Yelp. In the past year, their service for us had deteriorated significantly. I contacted management multiple times regarding various issues. I complained when they replaced a very competent service technician with an individual who was marginal at best. After several months, he was replaced by another individual who was only minimally better. During the early months of our contract, Fowler's agreed to clean our water feature filter two times per month at no charge. Recently we noticed a reduction in the flow from the waterfall for our water feature and asked the technician to clean the filter. He replied "I'll do it next week". Several days later the water flow stopped altogether. This resulted in another call to management who subsequently informed me that the two times per month cleaning of the filter had not been done for the past five months. He then told me that they were no longer honoring their previous commitment and would only clean the filter every four months with a cost to us of more than $200. If additional cleanings were needed, we would be charged an additional fee. At that point, I decided to look for other vendors. The two that I interviewed both said that the water feature was full of algae. This was without any prompting by us. I contracted with a new vendor who cleaned the water feature filter and removed the algae. The time to clean the filter was seven minutes. To jeprodize a very lucrative contract for a seven minute task makes me question Fowler's business expertise. In retrospect, after spending over $13,000 with Fowler's in less than two years, I realize that they were not the company for us. I gave them more chances than most and they failed to perform to my expectations. I now know why they have recently received poor Yelp ratings from other individuals.
