I took my 97-year-old mother to this facility for a CT Scan. The Good Because of her low eGFR in the most recent lab work, I called the day before to verify whether a CT Scan with contrast as ordered by her doctor would be safe. Jake answered the phone and empathized with my concern. He traded phone call with me and the doctor three times and made all appropriate arrangements for us, and documented the instructions for his associates to follow the following day. Jake was upbeat, courteous and thorough in his interactions with me. With his efforts, I was impressed and relieved. The Bad We arrived at the lab 5 minutes prior to the appointed time, half an hour before the actual appointment, and was advised by a young woman wearing glasses and a ponytail working at the front desk to sit tight and wait until she can check with the radiologist whether my mother's CT Scan can proceed. I was a bit baffled and inquired, did she get the instructions from Jake for a with no-contrast CT Scan? Indeed she did, nevertheless, she wanted to check with the doctor, so we should wait. That was not even 9am. By 9:15, I asked her if the doctor had arrived. She quipped, your appointment is not until 9:20. 9:20 came and went. Nothing happened. I exercised my patience, went up to her at 9:35, after another 15 minutes of aimless wait. Her response was brief, we had already sent your mom's file for the doctor's review. So, the doctor had arrived? Yes. Another 15 minutes went by. I walked up to her again at 9:50, one hour after our arrival , half an hour after the scheduled appointment time. I pleaded, is there any way you may ask the doctor to expedite her review for my mom? You know she's 97, she's getting tired. She looked at me, and said, no. We have already given her file to the doctor. So, I said, we should just sit around and wait "indefinitely"? She looked straight into my eyes, and said, "YES!" That really blew my mind. I responded to her sarcastically, "Thank you for being so compassionate!" And I added, "Just imagine your own grandmother going through the same ordeal!" I didn't bother to get her name. What would be the point? Someone like that clearly is in the wrong profession. To be Fair: The technician that assisted my mother for the CT Scan 10 minutes after my shocking exchanges with that young woman was jolly and friendly. (That means if she would only take the time to check for me, she would have brought pleasant news to us: her test is coming up, just be patient and it won't be long!) The other young lady at the front desk was courteous and respectful as well. But one bad apple really could taint the whole otherwise mostly positive experience. read more

No, no, no, no. Do not come here! I did not have time to research or read about this place. I came here for my x-ray today and the front staff was accomodating. The main problem is the x-ray tech. I had so many piercings on and I told the x-ray tech, I will come back another day when I figured out how to take out my septum ring. He said it is fine to leave it on, the metal absorbs radiation though. I did not think about it much and agreed to take the x-rays. He forgot to put the apron on me. The apron is really important for our own personal safety. It acts as a barrier from radiation. He said it is ok, no worries without the apron. I saw the apron and moved it in front of me instead during the second image of my x-ray. The third time I had to ask him to adjust it for me to cover up to my shoulder. I do not like how this place looks at safety as a joke. read more

Everyone ahead us got called in AND people after us also got called in (provided they can speak Mandarin). 2. We asked for the intake forms ourselves because they still haven't given us one 30 minutes after checking in 3. Asking the receptionist multiple times how much longer the wait will be. Finally got called when we said they told us 15 minutes more 15 minutes ago. Inefficient receptionists, would've given 0 stars. This location is a hidden little gem, nestled in the busy area of DTLA's, China Town on Hill St. The employee's have been professional from the front dest to the Tech's in the back. I have had x=ray's and a CT performed there. I didn't feel rushed any of the times I visited the locations. The location can be a hit or miss with waves of clients ebbing in. Depending on the type of imaging your going for, the wait will vary. The location is not a 5 star hotel, I'm going for service. It's clean and efficiant. The waiting room is on the smaller side with a TV for some distraction while you wait. Parking is like any you find in DTLA. I found the location to be great as the freeways are very close, bus routes of pleanty in the local area and the retaurants as well as local shops. When ever I have a question they have always been quick and flexible. read more

Making an appointment was easy and they had available time slots. The woman I spoke to over the phone was nice. When I got there I had to wait quite a while to check in because someone was in front of me and there's only one window to speak through. They told me to arrive 15 minutes early, I'm assuming to fill out some paperwork however they didn't give me the forms until about an hour later. It seemed unorganized. The front desk lady kept trying to call me on my phone when I was literally in the same room with her. She can talk to me in person, I didn't understand that. They open at 8:30 am and didn't call their first patient in until 9:20 am. Sounded like they were still getting the rooms ready, meanwhile people are piling up in the lobby waiting for their turn. If your doctor or provider gives you a referral, please ask for another location for an ultrasound or x-ray. The people at the front desk are both rude and incompetent as well as ableist. They tell their referrals that they are ready to come in the same day when they have a schedule full of appointments. The main issue I have however is that (1) they give priority to people who speak English and (2) the rude abelist gentleman in a nurse uniform who works behind the counter. Someone pitched a fit and was seen immediately and i mean immediately UNDER A MINUTE before two others who had already checked in prior. I want to point out that the rest of us were speaking in Chinese while the rushed appointment was an English speaking interaction. I went up to the front and was there with my mother advocating on her behalf and then a gentleman at a computer interrupted the conversation I had and proceeded to argue that I was just checking in and that I was late. Sir, my mother -- the patient -- checked in ON TIME. And I am here speaking in English and I can walk faster than an older woman -- that's why you're giving me any attention but not my senior aged mother. Please explain to me sir why my mother who speaks multiple languages but chose to speak to you in English, walking with a walker, who checked in earlier with all these circumstances has not been seen or talked to by you yet the English only speaking woman your front desk can cater to immediately? The fact that you do not see all patients as human beings WITH THE SAME RIGHTS as others is your own damn fault. Within the larger framework, I am sick of our current healthcare system. Medical centers like this one are symptomatic of a huge system that operates in favor of seeing as many patients as possible to get dollars not the service or health of the patients themselves. As a first generation Chinese American, I am sick of seeing the older immigrant generation being talked down to as less than, told that they can wait forever while their symptoms get worst and only have doctors tell them "oh we're busy" "oh you're old of course you have problems." No, assess the problem, provide service, and treat everyone like humnq beings! As for the rest of the team: (1) Pristine seems like a multi tasker fluent in English and Chinese. She answered all my questions about where the paperwork would be sent to and left a message on my phone shortly after the appointment confirming it was sent to both the urgent care provider and primary care provider. That said, she appears to be the manager of the front desk and should therefore ensure patients are seen in order. (2) The specialist who conducted the X-ray was kind but came off as condescending. I had appointment for mammogram on 9/7/21 at 3:30 , then that morning they called me and let me know that they had mammogram machine problem and rescheduled me , I completely understand . So they rescheduled me to 9/16/21 at 3:30 . That day they did paper work everything, then after I waited more than an hour , they , actually the front office guy told me that they had machine problem again , actually I wasn't happy that time because they didn't tell me earlier , so he asked me if I want to go there the next day at noon , and I says no because I worked , and he offered me Saturday, and I asked if he's sure the machine will be ok , he didn't answer . So I asked if he can schedule me to other facility around 4 o'clock any day . Then he wrote on the paperwork, Wednesday 09/22/21 at 7715 Garvey avenue , Rosemead . So today I went there , and the staffs at that office didn't even know about the appointment, they asked me , whose hand writing is this ? So I told them , the guy at the Monterey Park office , so the lady there called , and then she told me , sorry , we don't have mammogram this hour here , but I can schedule you for next Monday at 4 PM , I was VERY UPSET , but not to her because it's not her fault, but to the guy at Monterey Park office . This is the bad place ever in my life. When I called the staffs, they always ask me on hold 3 times, then wait for three mins and don't call me back. Finally I can finally approach someone in the front desk through phone, I was super shocked regarding to their rude attitude. They called me "阿姨" (aunt in English), which is a really rude expression in Chinese. I told him that you can call me " Ms, Mrs, Ms.", but not "aunt". Besides that, I want to do Cervical Spine X-ray, but he told me that Cervical Spine is not the neck bone/spine.... I told him to call back my doctor to give me another referral. I had an appointment for 8:30am. I came early by a little bit so that way I could get the paperwork or whatever else that's needed, done early. Buuuuut their clinic doesn't open until the time of my appointment. Okay, cool, they scheduled me for their earliest availability. But their suite door is locked and it's been 5 minutes past. They should open on time :(. I know 5 mins isn't a big deal but punctuation is important in any career. Paperwork was simple. In and out. front desk isn't mean but she doesn't come off as super friendly either. I didn't feel welcomed. There's hardly any place to sit while waiting outside the suite and there's somebody who keeps chain smoking outside and it's giving me cancer slowly as I speak. I know it's not the clinics fault, but rather the entire facility for not enforcing no smoking grounds. (Literally just saw a security guy walk past and he didn't say anything). It's really a shame considering it's a health care facility. So I get called in for my (first ever) ultrasound. The staff asks if I drank water before coming. Told her no. Nobody over the phone told me what to do/expect when I scheduled my appointment over the phone. This is a much different experience from my OBGYN. When I scheduled my first appointment with my OB over the phone, they informed me to arrive with an empty bladder (I didn't even have to ask, they just informed me right off the bat). So I get there, don't drink water for the lab ultrasound based off my OB's instructions. I mean if one place tells me something for the same procedure, I assume the other place is the same way. But when I get here, the ultrasound lady asks if I drank water and I told her no. She said I need a full bladder to see anything on the u/s. She sends me back out to the waiting room, and I drank a whole bottle now and I'm just gonna wait for an hour for my bladder to fill up. Already I'm annoyed, what a waste of everybody's time because YOUR clinic could not communicate to their patients properly. The ultrasound lady wasn't very friendly either and she kept saying I need to go to the obgyn first, not here for this kind of request. But I told her I had bleeding, and my doctor said I am to be sent here / referred here first. Due to the bleeding seen as a risky concern, that's why I'm here and informed her my appointment for the obgyn is also this week. The OB is not intended for urgent matters as they are always being booked. And she just kept repeating herself like she was annoyed or something. She was like, how many weeks are you? Why didn't you tell the front desk when making an appointment? And I'm like, nobody asked me. And she said it in a way like I was supposed to know that. I thought the staff should confirm these things with the patient or at least look at the authorization for details on the patient. I felt so uncomfortable and belittled. @_@ omg I'm sorry for whining but this experience is making me uneasy. It's not my job as front desk to properly inform patients the procedure practices. I feel like their staff should have informed me just like my OB did. This is my first pregnancy and doctor visit so it's not like I'd know these things. Also their equipment looks outdated. It's such a shame that a place that specializes in radiology cannot have a bit better of equipment. After the procedure was done, the lady only told me that the results will be sent to my doctor. Which by the way never happened. They never sent the results. I ended up addressing the matter with my OB later that same month when I was able to get an appointment in. I was very confused after because she didn't give me any eye contact when she said that and was fumbling around with the equipment. So I was like "okay...so I'm done now? If I could give this place a negative 5 star review I would. The worst mammogram experience I've ever had. Front desk is inefficient and the tech by the name of Julia is crazy. I had an appointment at 9:40 am and I can 15 minutes early as they requested. Their computer system was down so they couldn't check me in until 1 hr later. Then it was my turn next and the stupid tech took the person that had an appointment after me. The front clerk corrected her right away and she still refuse to see me. When I Tried to speak with her she was so dismissive and confronted me in the exam room... don't go to this place unless u want to wait for 2 hours even though you had an appointment. The radiologist was extremely rude and dismissive of my concerns. He kept trying to have me take off my earrings for a TMJ scan but I told him about 3 or 4 times that I had recently gotten them pierced. If there wasn't an English speaking nurse there to communicate with me, he would have forced me to take them out while they were in the healing process. He did my other spine X-rays for my scoliosis but told me I could keep my earrings and metal retainers on anyway. HE DID NOT explain the process or what he was going to do and I felt very unsafe. I came here for a mammogram but would not come back here again. The technician was on her cell phone talking to her friend while doing my mammogram. I find that very rude and unprofessional. When she calls my name in, she had her cell phone on her ear and had it there until I left the radiology room. First time here for a ct scan, it was horrible. Never has a needle hurt me as much as this. I needed a shot right in my vein for contrast and the doctor had to do it 3 times before she did it right, WHAT THE HECK?? The first time she said "the vein broke" ummm?? The 3rd and final time she did it she kept pressing on it which hurt even more like if I needed the pain. She kept moving the needle all around my arm. After it was done she didn't even say hey your arm might swell you can ice it or do this etc..
