Good doctor, there are nice people work there they take care all my health issues and they are very responsible, reliable

This Doctor's office is absolutely so frustrating to work with. Buckle in. Get ready for this rollercoaster. First, they have a Nurse practitioner and also Dr. Ho who my dad saw probably twice the ten times he went to visit this office. The first day we went to the office, we had brought all the medicine my dad was taking. But I told the NP that he still had enough medicine so they did not need to refill it right away and that if we needed a refill we could have the pharamacy contact the doctor's office and she said, okay sounds good. By the time my dad needed to get a refill. The pharmacy contacted me telling me that the Doctor's office would not respond to them. Okay no problem, I called the Doctor's Office. They told me that they would check for me and have the doctor send it in later. Except, by the next day there was no refill. The doctor's office never sent the prescription. Okay. Let me call again. Now they want my dad to go in. New Doctor's office, maybe they missed something. We brought all my dad's medicine again just in case. A couple weeks later. My dad needed a refill on a different medication. But the pharmacist said that the doctor's office denied the refill. I call the doctor's office again. Okay, they will refill it. Next day. No refill. Okay. Let me call again. At this point, they always say that they will see what's going on and call me back. But they NEVER do. I have to call back the next day. I am patient with them because I know how hectic it can be at a doctor's office. But I always have to re-explain that my dad needs refills. That I called the day before and that they are rejecting the requests to refill, there is absolutely no communication here. This happens almost every two months since we started going in the beginning of the year! The last couple of visits was what got me so upset. They once again denied a refill. So I called the office to ask them if he could get a refill. They said sure. Benefit of the doubt. Next day? No refill. Surprise? My dad at this point was feeling dizzy and his blood pressure was unsteady. At this point my dad was running low on three medications. I brought him to the office where they rudely asked us why we were there. I told her that he needs a refill for a medication. She told us that we needed to make an appointment for that because they don't do walk ins for that. So I asked her then what is my dad suppose to do? He doesn't have any more medicine. So finally she tells me she will look into it for me. She asks me for the medications name but abruptly cuts me off. She tells me "it says you still have refills for this medication" Me - "okay but the pharmacist is telling me that there is no refill. I wouldn't be doing here if he had his medicine and if you guys aren't communicating with them" Nurse - "Okay, let me print it for you" She hands me the prescription.. for the wrong medicine.. Me - "This isn't the right medication. Can I show you on the app where it also tells you that you guys denied the request for refill?" So when she prints out the prescription and she comes around to me and puts the paper to my face aggressively pointing. Nurse - "See you still have more refills until - oh it says you have no more refills.. That's weird let me find out what happened for you." As if that wasn't what I was trying to have them figure out this whole time.. So she flags the NP and they talk for a couple minutes and then she comes up to me and she says "Okay we'll send it to the pharmacist for you" But I asked her what about the two other medications? She tells me, "We didn't prescribe those to you. We don't have it on file" What the h*ll is going on in this office. We literally came in here at least twice to have them document our medication. So whatever I make an appointment to get a refill for his other meds. Everything should be good now right? WRONG. Not even a month later, they deny a refill for the same prescription. Why?!??! I call them again and they tell me that we have to go in again but it hasn't even been a month since his last appointment? They said the doctor wants to see him to talk about this xray and blood work that he did a a couple months ago. When we went to the appointment three weeks ago. We already got the results for the blood work. The xray was talked about MONTHS ago. What is the need for us to come in again?! So they told us they would handle it. But NOPE. We had to go AGAIN. When we finally saw the NP for our appointment she told us "you know you can just call for a refill right?" I. WISH. WE. COULD. I didn't say anything to her because I had already decided to find another office but due to insurance since he already visited the doctor that month I couldn't immediately change. Seriously. What is going on in this office. Can't even handle a simple refill. Avoid this doctor's office at all cost. read more

My appt was at 3:45 and got token in the back in less then 15 minutes the nurse was wonderful but the doctor Helen was absolutely amazing. She not only listened to my problems but she also had great advice and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all which is a problem I've had with previous doctors. I don't know why there is so many negative reviews but my first visit was amazing. Ty guys so much. read more

I would not recommend this place. Service is horrible. Waited 30 mins before they call you in. Then waited in room where they forgot about you. Overall, the experience was great. Great customer service and a very attentive doctor. The front desk nurse Connie takes good care of the patients, even though she seems really busy. Yeah, the wait can be a bit long, but it's worth it. read more

This review was long overdue and has been sitting in my drafts for years. Thankfully I got better health insurance and was able to find a better doctor, but I still want to warn other's who are considering this place. The wait for this place is always ridiculous. I came in to get a check on my thyroid as I felt like something was wrong. The doctor told me to come back tomorrow for a blood test. Next day I am waiting for almost two hours just for a 2 minute blood test all because they didn't notify me yesterday that you need to come at 9am. Watching every new person walk into the door and getting to the doctors before I do was super frustrating. I was also fasting that day for the blood test but was later told that I didn't need to and could have ate. The nurses who draw blood do it poorly and need to stab you multiple times in order to get the blood drawn. My arm would constantly be bruised severely. The nurse practitioner was not very reassuring when asking questions. She caused me to have a lot of concern and worry when she basically told me my heart rate was irregular and very bad. I needed to leave and immediately see the emergency room. No context and just urgently rushed me away as she didn't want to deal with me. Overall, I think if you just want a doctor that doesn't care much about your health but will prescribe you medication that may help, this is the place to go. Only reason why I don't give them 1-stars is because they are actually fairly nice people. They just tend to overbook patients poorly. read more

Vincent Ho is THE WORST PCP I've ever experienced. I've since changed to a different PCP along time ago. Dr. Ho is one of those doctors where he gets his medical license but, doesn't care about his patients, only money. I remember visiting Dr. Ho for the first time. Back in 2013 or 2014. He was kind and patient. Then, every visit after that, he was a nightmare. I remember once, I was sick and did a TB test. Dr. Ho measured the test and came out "positive". He literally insisted me to leave without prescribing any medications. I went to Ronald Regan UCLA and the ER Doctor was able to fix me with Amoxicillin and informed me the TB test was an old technology and there's nothing to worry about. Also, Dr. Ho had a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant check up on me back in 2015. She was terrible herself and Dr. Ho never wanted to see me. Not to mention, the older Vietnamese Nurse/ Receptionist with glasses was so rude and unprofessional. (Not sure if she's still there. Wouldn't be surprised if she's still there). MORAL OF THE STORY: Just like the other patients here on Yelp, don't go here. Find a different PCP. Rude, Unprofessional, and Unethical from Dr. Ho himself to the front staff. read more

Came here for my family member. Long wait (at least an hour or two), the front desk is EXTREMELY RUDE and dismissive, and the staff does NOT care about the patients at all - this doctor and his staff only care about making money off patients who don't know better. Dr. Ho only sees patients very briefly. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS. We will not be coming back. read more

Two stars instead of 1 because some of the front desk women are fine. I believe I just got off the phone with the nurse practitioner, not 100% sure though. She yelled at me! I was simply following up a phone call I had with one of the front desk woman (she was fine) yesterday afternoon regarding adding Magnesium to my blood work request form which she agreed she would speak with Dr. Ho for me and call me back as soon as she does. Note: Dr. Ho already agreed he would let me check my Magnesium but he forgot to add it to the request form. Since the front desk woman never called back I just wanted to call to follow up. That's it. Let's just call her the nurse because she is not from the front desk nor is she the nurse practitioner (whew!) nor the doctor (thank goodness!) . She begins telling me she doesn't feel comfortable adding the Mg test because of out of pocket cost that I might have to pay. So I ask her how much it would be and that's when she went nuts! She screamed "I DON'T KNOW!". She then explained that I needed to talk with Vincent Ho again to get it approved. I then asked her if she can just talk to him because the front desk woman I spoke to yesterday already agreed she would. She then yelled at me "I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU SPOKE TO. YOU NEED TO CALL BACK WHEN SHE IS IN THE OFFICE AND TALK TO HER AGAIN!". This made absolutely no sense to me because they all represent Dr. Ho and she should be able to follow up for me in her coworker's absence. Anyway, I asked again if she could could speak with him. She yelled "I CAN'T RIGHT NOW HE'S WITH ANOTHER PATIENT!". I understood and asked if she could just talk to him once he's done with the patient to which she loudly agreed and said "OK I WILL TALK TO HIM AND CALL YOU BACK LATER *hangs up*". I mean could you not have just said this from the beginning just like the front desk woman I spoke with yesterday? Yikes. read more

I've been coming to doctor Vincent Ho for years and keep in mind I work in the healthcare field as well. The front receptionist whos name is Jenny wearing a Good Samaritan Hospital scrub should really be terminated from her position. Obviously you've never been employed with a corporation with Human Resources involved because this attitude and unwillingness to assist patient will leave you with a suspension and no pay. If you're sitting in the front desk, you not only represent the doctor but you're a representation of the medical clinic. Your attitude sucks, your sarcasm sucks and keep in mind your patient satisfaction also sucks . I checked in at 4:00 as a walk in, which I already expected to wait. I asked her if I can pay for my co payment first before heading over to the post office. Rudely, responded with I'm working on someone have a seat, and rolls her eyes. Yes I can see you see still, at this point I'm over this inexperienced front desk having issues trying to verify insurance eligibility, however I waited patiently cus I've been there.. my entire family comes here and I've recommended my friends here. I've been hearing the staff is rude but failed to believe so because I've never experienced it myself. however, I experienced it today & i don't think I'll be returning. as I'm about to leave 40 minutes later, sarcastically speaking with a shitty attitude "your co payment is 20$ with a snarky attitude" at this point I said, NO thanks, I will not need to see the doctor who isn't in (fyi) the nurse practitioner was the one overseeing his patients today. I have nothing against mid levels providing care for patients, however I am 36 weeks pregnant and I don't want to see a mid level who's not going to thoroughly answer my questions or is afraid to prescribe me medication because I'm pregnant. Keep in mind, I asked the front desk if Dr. Ho was in from the start. I normally don't have any issues with the staff here, Dr. Ho is a very knowledgeable doctor, but his staff is way too comfortable without his presence.. read more

This office has the rudest front desk and most careless staff. I have only been here 3 times in which I have been seen by 3 different doctors. 2 of them have been disappeared afterwards. They lost my HPV shot and told me I don't have the shot because I have to ask them to apply for the insurance to approve again. Luckily the insurance approved. Later they told me they found the shot in other places. The way they lied tells a lot of things. They have been treating patient like idiots. And they have not been doing the work right. I was so worried when I took the 3rd shot. I have to ask again and again. Is this the 3rd HPV shot. My lawyer need my medical record to go to court. She called them and they agreed to send. I waited for a week and later I called they said they would send it on Friday. The next week I went to the office and the lady in front desk told me to ask my lawyer to apply for the information. I told her this process has already done. She rudely told me to ask the lawyer to call again. My lawyer called immediately. The front desk lady raised her voice and ask my lawyer, it's $30! Did you pay? I have to pay right away. Then she told me she will fax to the lawyer next week. After I told her I need it immediately, she got very angry. She yelled to my lawyer on the phone, it's a whole year's record! It's long time! We have to get all the record and sort them! I told her actually I have only been there 3 time3. Each time for 10 minutes. She send it right away. Only took 2 minutes. I sincerely suggest everyone that has been assigned to this doctor to change your primary carer. It's easy to do. Call the insurance and told them the emergency they will change your doctor right away. read more

Normally, I try to refrain from writing bad reviews but the several visits to this clinic has prompted me to immediately change my primary care physician. I've been a patient here for couple years and I've only seen Dr. Ho twice because he's never in office so the only person who you can make an appointment with is the Nurse Practitioner (who is horrible), if I must say. I feel that the Nurse Practitioner either is not experienced or just doesn't really care to address your concerns. I also don't appreciate how she doesn't address your symptoms thoroughly and has a brushing you off attitude. The only good thing about this place is the nurse who takes your temperature/weight. I'll definitely miss her. She's very friendly and approachable. read more

Dr. Ho has been my primary care physician for several years though I only saw him for minor things because I'm usually pretty healthy. He seems to have a 'no big deal' attitude, which is not always effective for patient care. I informed him that I had symptoms which resembled pneumonia but he waved it off as a cold and prescribed me cough medication. Still not feeling well the next few days I went to a doctor at another practice who requested X-rays and diagnosed me with pneumonia. She informed me that one more day of going untreated and I may have landed up in the hospital. Also, I've dreaded going there as a walk in since he hired a nurse practitioner. She is very unpleasant and if I'm already not feeling well, I feel worse after just being in the same room as her. I've heard several other patients complaining about her but she must be a friend of the doctor or his mistress because he and the front staff seem to excuse her behavior. The only really pleasant person in the office is Nurse Mary. My family and I will not be going back to Dr. Ho's practice. I encourage you to looks elsewhere for a doctor. read more

The doctor is a totally liar, stay from this guy! The receptionist is very unprofessional and arrogant, waste of my time!

It has been two times. The first time I called the office to make an apt for my headache. They said I could walk in at anytime. So I went to the Dr's office. But the front desk said I couldn't walk-in and I have to schedule an apt. So I made an apt one month later. The second time I wanted to make an apt at 2 pm. But the office said they're off at 2:00. So I made it at 1:30. I arrived at the office at 1:10 on that day. But until 2:20 I hadn't been examed yet. I was given the excuse that some patients before me were late. This is one of the worst and most unprofessional offices I have EVER been to. They are here for your money, not to help you get better. DO NOT come here if you have medical issues. If you just need someone to prescribe medication, you'll most likely be okay, but for any serious issues, do not come here if you want to be taken care of. At the beginning of March of this year, I started having some health issues. I basically had to make appointments just to speak to Dr. Ho for about 5 minutes every two weeks because all he did was prescribe a medication for me which didn't work, and then I'd have to call and tell him that, and then he'd prescribe me a new medication that didn't work. This has been going on for over 4 months now. I've asked multiple times why I'm paying a full office visit every week or two just to speak to him over the phone for an issue that he hasn't been able to help me with in the slightest. It was finally after speaking to a specialist that I got medications that worked out, and it wasn't even at the suggestion of Dr. Ho himself that I see the specialist. I had to ask another doctor for advice. I got a call today from Dr. Ho's office and they told me that I would need to go see another specialist. All I asked was why, because I just wanted to know what I was going to them for. The person over the phone said that Dr. Ho didn't leave any notes, so I asked her if she could just ask him for an explanation, and she told me that I'd have to pay to schedule an appointment. When I told her that all I was asking for was a single sentence statement explaining why I was going to see the specialist, she got flustered and put someone else on the phone, who then told me that they would not email me my test results, even though the person I was previously on the phone with had just told me she would. They said that I would have to come in JUST to pick up a sheet of paper when in the past they've emailed results with no issues. This office is unprofessional, vindictive, and extremely rude when you push back on not continuing to pay them hundreds of dollars for information any other doctor would provide. Go elsewhere if you care about your health. read more

Short and simple: Find another Doctor, Skip this office. Reasons listed blelow: Been a patient here since they opened. First visit here great. After that it goes downhill. The customer service here lacks, as well as their knowledge of what certain paperworks are (explained later). Dr. Ho isn't a terrible doctor but he's not a great doctor either. Every time I saw Dr.Ho, he will make each visit very short. Made it seem like he didn't really care about the patients. I was usually in and out within 5 minutes of being see. I had questions and concerns, and at times he would laugh it off. Later on, I got switched to the nurse practitioner Tiffany. She was amazing. She took her time, and listened to everything I had to say and made me feel like I was actually being cared for. Every time I would come back, she would remember me, remember what I do as a job. That meant a lot to me and made me feel like someone actually cared. Tiffany even remembered every medicine I took, and all the past previous medical history I had. Fast forward to 09/25/2017. I called the office to see if I can schedule an appointment because I was feeling under the weather. Quick response I got was "Sorry we don't have any appointments until the end of October." Great. I asked if I can walk in they discouraged it and told me I'd be waiting a long time, and just wait for the appointment date. So If i'm deathly sick and need medicine, you won't see me. Really tells you a lot about the office. I ended up doing a walk-in, and guess what? The office was empty. No Patients No wait. I was in and out of the office in 20 minutes. Fast Forward to 10/04/2017. I called the office regarding paperwork that I needed done. It was a TB assessment form that had to be filled out. The nurse tells me they have never heard of it before, and said they don't do it, since they never heard of it before, even though I specifically told them I pulled it out from the California Tuberculosis Controllers Association Website. They also said that they are closed, super busy, and only opened for paperwork, no time to help me. I ask if I can schedule an appointment, they told me no appointments, discouraged walk in's again, said if I walked in it would be a whole day. Also, I requested to see the nurse practitioner instead of Dr. Ho, they tell me there is no nurse practitioner in the office ever. I bring up the name Tiffany, they tell me she's gone. So, are they trying to hide something or are they lying to my face? Overall, If you can oversee the horrible customer service and lack of knowledge that the nurses and front office staff has, as well as lack of empathy to those that are sick, try this place out you might get a different experience. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Ho since 2017. However, I switched to a different doctor in 2020 because I didn't like the service I received in his clinic. The main reason I didn't like going to his clinic is because of his old Vietnamese nurse, who has dark skin and very rude to me in person and on the phone. Unfortunately my new insurance company assigned me to his office again this year (2021), gotta make some phone calls to switch again :( The doctor is okay, usually wait for 30-45 mins even you have appointment. I rarely write reviews, but this time I have to. So that I can help people to avoid what I experienced at this WORST EVER clinic! The nurse serving us has a badly mean attitude, and she doesn't have the necessary knowledge to answer patient's questions, plus she got impatient when we ask questions. (The nurse doesn't even know if the blood pressure is within normal range, and saying many nonsense to waste our time!) When we get into exam room, I asked the nurse "do you have a hanger in this room, so I can hang my belongs and get a vacant chair to sit", guess what she said to me? "THIS IS NOT A HOTEL, WE DON'T HAVE HANGER IN THE ROOM" ......after she step out of the room and close the door, I see the hanger are behind the door! When I talk to the manager about all these bad experience, the manager told me the nurse doesn't know there are hangers. Are you serious? You told me the nurse work here for couple years already, and there are totally three exam rooms, and the nurse doesn't know one of the THREE rooms have hanger behind the door??? I can't believe some business place like this still survive! They mean to their patients, don't have the needed professional knowledge and skills, don't care if the patient will ever come back, and they deem everything are their patients' fault! I've worked years in various medical clinics, so I understand and am sympathetic with the chaos and challenge in running a doctor's office. That being said, the staff and services here are unacceptable and the doctor just leaves a bad impression in my mind. I called to book an appointment, and the receptionist over the phone told me they would not charge for a medical form I needed to be filled (all I needed was a signature) and that they would do some blood work for the test I needed. Then when I went into the office for my appointment, a staffer looks at the form and tells me it's actually $15 and "that's just office policy." Then literally 10 minutes later after I see the doctor, she tries to charge me $25 again saying it's "office policy." I was lied to twice about the simplest thing, and she tried to argue with me until she realized I was going to cause a scene in the office full of people waiting. My time with Dr. Ho also left more to be desired. I saw him several years ago and clearly remembered he had a bit of a condescending attitude and this time was no different. He spent mot of the time asking a bunch of questions regarding my personal life (education, jobs, whether I lived alone, etc. all irrelevant to this visit) and would smirk or give a smug chuckle every time I answered a question. It was very, very uncomfortable. He also forgot to write the referral I needed to which I had to ask a staffer to give me later. HIPAA is seriously questionable here. As past reviewers mentioned, patient names and information and medical details are openly discussed. I was left in the patient room alone with the computer unlocked and a list of patient names and information just on the screen. The disorganization and incompetent staff is clear just by observing the front desk for a few minutes. They kept telling me I would have to return for the test results and pick up my signed form and evaded the question when I asked if I would have to pay a copay again for such a quick visit and form pick up ("don't worry we'll call you" - that's not what I asked). Lastly, the specific lab they referred me to is also highly questionable, when I called they refused to check my insurance when I wanted to review the coverage and kept insisting I do the services first before they verify the insurance (sketchy, sketchy). read more

Came in because of the good reviews. I had severe gas and wanted to see a doctor about it. The doctor came in asked my about my symptoms. In a few minutes he said said I had acid reflux. I was doubtful because he did no examination or testing and prescribed me medication. The medication actually made it worse and I came back. He prescribed me more medications for acid reflux. Long story short, I went to get a second opinion from a specialist and he said I didn't have acid reflux and gave me some supplements to help with the symptoms. I had high hopes from the reviews but it wasn't a good experience. read more

The worst!!! doesn't care about patients!! I Came in and he gave me a diagnosis of a slipped disc. was given pain meds and told theres not much He could do for me. Suggested I take up Yoga to help my condition.(really this is the worst thing possible for a slipped disc!) Took his advice and know I'm in worse pain. Came in a second time and said tough luck, thank you, theres thing I could do for you. After exhausting my options with Dr Ho I decided to get another opinion cause I just couldn't believe there was nothing he could have done. New DR told me about a ton of options. This guy is a joke Yoga, come on dude. Med school, years of experience, years of treating 100s of patients and the only thing you could do for me is recommend yoga? read more

This is worst doctor office ever, the receptionist is very rude, they lets you wait for an hour after they said they couldn't take you. Don't waste your time to come here, at the beginning I got told he was good doctor but was wrong, don't gave them a business or waste your money. read more

I came in as an uninsured walk-in. I got there early on a SATURDAY and was the first one in. 5 minutes of paper work, paid a very affordable fee, and another 5 minute wait... then I was seen by Dr.Ho. He was VERY professional, sincere ( I wasn't just a $ sign to him ), and a bit of a comedian (very good first impression) . Dr. Ho was able to diagnose my problem very quickly and answered all of the questions I had. I'd recommend Dr. Ho to anyone with or without insurance. Oh, by the way, the office lobby is super clean which is always a plus! Quick tips... The pharmacy next door is cool and convenient... If you're it does take long (which I doubt) and you're not too ill, Pho Pasteur is next door so you can get some grub while your scripts are getting filled. read more

I decided to change my family physician to Dr. Vincent Ho after being displeased with my old one. All I wanted was a doctor who listens to his patients and actually cared. I found both qualifications in Dr. Ho after my first visit. I made an appointment, but they also accept walk-ins which is nice when you're really on the verge of dying from a cough or sneeze. I came for an annual check up just to make sure I didn't have any mysterious illness that I was unaware of. As a first time patient, the doctor really took the time to get to know my medical history and asked me a series of questions. This was all documented in the computer inside the room, which is nice because we're in the 21st century!! They also found out that I was missing one of the shots that I should've had 4 years ago.. My old doctor never even told/remind me. What surprised me was that he also checked my strength and balance during the check-up. I never did this in the past. He made me squeeze his fingers really hard to test my arm strength, and the result is I am weak. He did similar exams for the strength of my legs, and again, I am weak. The only thing I did well on was my balance. So the moral of the story is, as a young person, I need to work out and get some muscles. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience with the doctor. The reason why I deducted 1 star was that I waited 3 weeks before I got my blood result and had to call twice. The first time I called, the receptionist told me she'd check and call me back. She never did. I waited another week. Then I when called back, they told me the lab never sent my results. Isn't that kind of scary? So I told them about the situation and eventually someone called me back to tell me I was normal. That's all I wanted to know. read more
