First time here today and thus far, very happy. I didn't necessarily want to leave my current specialist but sadly he doesn't take my new insurance. So doing some research (Yelp folks) I found Dr. Vincent Ho. My appointment was scheduled for 11 am. Located in a somewhat busy plaza, I didn't have a hard time finding parking. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment so I could fill out my paperwork. There are two staff at the check in window and they handed me the sign in board. Quickly, they gave me my forms and once done probably another 10-15 minutes wait. I did the usual check up of blood pressure, heart rate, height, and weight. Once that was done, into the exam room I went. Not too long after, Dr. Ho came in and he asked me why I was here today. I explained everything I had been through in the last couple years. He kindly listened to me and he did a quick physical exam. While I was here, I did my blood test, flu, and tetanus shot which was great! Convenient!! Overall, happy with the service. Everything was on time. I didn't have to wait another hour just to get in so I appreciate that. Will definitely come back for future visits (so long as no surprises.) Tips-call ahead for an appointment. They'll check insurances before you come in. Didn't have hard schedule the appointment or the time I wanted. Open on Saturdays which is great! read more

My wife found Dr. Ho on yelp 10 months ago because of all the great reviews. She is very particular because we have an artistic son. She explained to the staff and doctor about his situation and every time we visit everyone try to accommodate his needs. The doctor will listen to you and take his time which I love and doesn't rush to see his next patient. We also love his staff. All the ladies are so sweet and nice to me over the phone when I call to make an appointment. Also the best of all when you make an appointment you do not have to wait long. I have been here once! Sometimes it is hard to find someone that check you for a little price and do such a great job. I did not have insurance and I paid just 60$ which is reasonable! Dr. Ho is really professional, I was so afraid for something that I "thought" was going on and not only he spent time explain me through pictures and everything what I had but it was really caring explaining that it wouldn't be nothing to worry about! After many years of searching for a knowledgeable doctor, my sister recommended me to go to her family physician... The staff: awesome! extremely professional and optimistic! I made an appointment for 10:30 but came in early (they didn't give me crap for it) love it! Dr. Ho's staff is probably one of the few well staffed doctors office I have been too. The doctor: Amazing! Knowledgeable is a bonus. Unbiased is another! The only doctor I know that does a thorough first examination. Testing your nervous system as well. He makes sure that I address all my complaints and asks me if I have any questions for him. How amazing is that !? Doctors in this area are normally pretty crappy. I was here a few weeks ago because I ACCIDENTALLY torn my right shoulder's muscles while working out at a gym. I was not trying to impress anybody or overdo my limit, that's why I call it an accident. Anyways, I learned my lesson that I should always stretch more before lifting weights to minimize the chance of getting another muscles torn again.. Good thing it wasn't too bad because the range of motion is still there, as Dr. Ho told me. He prescribed me some pain medicines and muscles relaxants. I took the opportunity to ask him that whether the western medicines are more effective in treating this kind of injuries, or the Chinese Dit Da way. (Dit Da is the traditional Chinese art/practice of treating different types of internal or external injuries. In my case, it would be internal and the common way to treat it is to have boiled herbs patched onto the injured area. I know this much because that was how my sprinted ankle was treated a while back.) I brought this up because he gave me unbiased and honest feedback on this matter. It was not my intention to test his knowledge outside his scope of practice, but he clearly showed me his professionalism in terms of answering his patient's questions. My advice is that always ask your doctor all the questions you have in your mind before leaving the clinic or hospital. You do not want to guess because their instructions and suggestions should be followed for good reasons. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today, I came back for an ear lavage due to many complaints that I give the wrong response or sometimes I raise my voice without knowing. Ear lavage simply means the process of cleansing the ears. A syringe and a water bottle shaped device were used to use water pressure to push out the ear wax. It was quite interesting because it was my first time. Nancy did a really good job because I felt no pain throughout the entire ear cleansing process. Jovian also made appointment process smooth. My father caught a nasty cold and couldn't get an appointment that day with his PCP, so I (who also caught his cold) took him to Dr. Vincent Ho's office for walk-in urgent care. The inside of the office was very clean, and the girls at the desk were nice, courteous, and professional; two of them speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (the third can speak Spanish). The desk staff gave off this friendly and approachable vibe that help a miserable sick patient start to feel slightly better already in that sort of positive environment. The wait to see Dr. Ho was surprisingly brief, and he was very thorough with my father's examination. Dr. Ho asked for medical history, symptoms, but also how/when my father might have caught the cold. Dr. Ho actually listened patiently and attentively the whole time and gave off this kind demeanor. He was very knowledgeable and without prompting explained in understandable terms to my father what the cold is doing to his nose, throat, etc., his body's overall condition, and what the medicines he's prescribing are for and how they work. Overall, this visit with Dr. Ho was a great experience and earned high praises from my father. Oh, and the pharmacy is right next door, too. read more

My insurance switched my family physician whom I had been visiting pretty much since I was born, and I had been skeptical of visiting my new physician for a while until it was absolutely necessary. This office is actually a lot better than my previous doctor's office and Tiffany Chan, the nurse practitioner that met with me, was just simply impressive! She had a direct but also very kind approach, presented herself perspicaciously well, and seemed genuinely concerned for my health; qualities that weren't exactly copious at my previous office.... Disappointed. Go find another doctor if you really want to find out what's your disease. The doctor is always too busy to see patients I came couple times, I only see him once and he seems like he doesn't care. All the sick signal or disease is not big deal to him. And only the doctor 's assistant will see you and she seems like lack knowledge and experience. After answering those questions, she just told me to go home and wait, when I come back next week, she asked me if I feel improved, I said yes a little bit. So that's it! I had to get a TB test for my dad in a time crunch, their office was super helpful. I went in as a walk in on a Saturday and the wait was under 30 mins to get in and out. The follow up meeting was on Monday and the customer service of the front office staff was great. I dropped my dad off at the front first and went to park my car...by the time I made my way back he was already done. They turned me away 5 times while I was sick because I have Healthnet insurance and because I didn't make an appointment. 3 patience's rooms 10 receptionists working and they don't take walk-in patiences on weekends or after 10am weekday. I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley and had a general doctor I saw most of my life, but I've realized over the past few years that his practice was very outdated and he didn't communicate well. Luckily, I came across Dr. Ho's office via Yelp (reviews) and I drive to his practice all the way from the Westside just for a visit. The entire staff have always been attentive and welcoming and more importantly, everyone speaks excellent English -- That's a BIG plus for me! I pay cash and the visits are very affordable (compared to the westside) and there's a pharmacy next door which makes it even more worth the drive. Highly recommended! read more

Great front-desk staff. Be warned that the doctor is not in on Wednesdays, so you may see the Nurse Practioner. I love the multilingual staff being able to serve not only the Chinese community but also the Vietnamese. The wait may be quite long for walk-in patients so make sure to set up an appointment before. I've been visiting Dr. Ho for the last 6 years since I moved in to the city, and he's been one of the best doctor I ever had. Very patient and pay attention in detail. Spent time to learn about my symptoms and explain throughly on the treatment. Receptionists are reasonable to me and they are following up quite good. I just moved to the area and was looking for a new family doctor. Of course I yelped and saw all the positive reviews so I decided to see Dr Ho. The location of this office is very convenient since it is located in a shopping plaza but the parking is a pain because the post office is right next door. The office is not visible if you are driving on valley blvd. I had to pay cash for the first visit since my new insurance wasn't yet effective. I called to set up an appointment for 5:30pm and was told that the office visit would cost $40. I was stuck in traffic, so I called them and let them know I'll be running late. I arrived at 6pm and the front desk girl told me the cash price after 6pm is $50. Why is there a price difference? Does this doctor charge different price at different time of the day? It was weird that she asked me to pay up front before I received any service. But I figured I was already in the office so I might as well just see the doctor and get it over with. I handed her my credit card and she said that they only accept cash or check. The girl told me there's a bank right outside the parking or bank of America across the street. At this point I was BEYOND PISSED: 1) Why didn't the staff informed me of the change in price when I called to let them know I was late for my 5:30 appointment? 2) Why didn't the staff tell me over the phone that they only take cash or check? SKETCHY. SKETCHY. SKETCHY. Anyway, I look through my purse and found my check book so I didn't have to use the ATM in the dark. (yes, it was getting dark at 6pm) The wait time was minimal because there was only one person ahead of me. I finally saw Doctor Ho, he was pleasant but I felt like he was in a rush to go get off work to go home. When I set up the appointment I was told that they can draw blood in the office, but they ended up sending me to an outside lab without any explanation. I decided to wait for my insurance to become active to get the blood draw. I received a call from the nurse about a week after that there are abnormality on my report and that I needed to see the doctor. I was worried that something was wrong with me so I set up another appointment around 1:30pm. The nurse said she couldn't find my appointment but was able to take me as a walk in. I was asked to pay $40 for an office visit which I was not told when I set up the follow up appointment. I understand this policy but it would be more professional if I was informed about the charge over the phone beforehand. I paid with check and the nurse said I had to wait a little but it was strange because the office was quiet, so I thought the doctor was busy in the exam room. 20 minutes gone by and the doctor walked into the office with a plastic bag (gone shopping at the grocery store?). I was speechless because the nurse had forgotten to schedule my appointment so the doctor went to lunch and I had to wait for an additional 20 minutes when the doctor went grocery shopping! I was taken into the exam room immediately and the doctor discussed my blood test result with me. The office visit only lasted about five minutes or so because the abnormality on the report wasn't even so serious (to me) enough to return for a office visit. I felt the doctor is trying to make more money off from patients by making them return for additional visits just to "discuss" the reports when it can be easily done over the phone by the nurse. I had an urge to exit the exam room immediately because I could totally smell where the doctor just had lunch at- probably next door at the Vietnamese pho place because the tiny exam room plus the doctor just smells like Vietnamese pho. To me, that is very unprofessional for a doctor to careless about his personal hygiene/outlook. GROSS. Few weeks after I received a bill from the blood draw office. I called the office to see why I was charged, they didn't even offer to look at the bill, and the nurse just told me bluntly it's not their responsibility and that I had to call the blood draw office and my insurance to resolve the problem myself. I will not return or recommend this doctor because I felt that the doctor needs to be more professional. The office is lack of inconsistency and communication. WHICH DOCTOR CHARGE DIFFERENT PRICE AT DIFFERENT TIME OF THE DAY? So sketchy. They were not that all that helpful (especially after they took your money). Worst doctor office ever, after they mailed me a payment on July 17,2019, I payed right away. And now they send me a payment on 8/15,2020, said I haven't pay it, and if I don't pay it by 9/1/2020, they will send collection agency to me. What the, it's been a year, luckily I still remember that I payed by credit card, so still can find the prove. I found this clinic 5 years ago on yelp and I choose Dr. Vincent Ho because this clinic had a 5 stars on their review. All the reviews I had read were good. Throughout these years, it had dropped 1 star, and I can understand how other patients had felt. In this 5 years I had about 25 visits and I can come up with a conclusion. People there in general are friendly. To me, the best thing about this clinic is the efficiency of Dr. Ho. He is very speedy. All the clinics that I had been to had a medium to super long wait time. Service: I've been a patient for a few years now and have been holding my tongue... But boy oh boy, the staff here has no chill. Every visit results in a disruptive argument with the front counter and they try to tell me I don't know my own pain level. Mary, front desk/assistant, argues with me every time and is even worse on the phone. Sara, front desk/authorization, tries to tell me I don't understand how authorizations work when I've worked in the medical field (and in the authorization department) for over ten years. Michael, front desk, is just like Mary and Sara with his rude attitude and unwillingness to help patients. Brenda and Winnie, front desk/medical assistants, were the only saving grace for this office but Winnie's no longer here and Brenda I don't see here that often. There is no sense of urgency to the point where I go to emergency room and they ask why the issue hasn't been looked at earlier and that the lengthy wait only made matters worse. Note: the office breaks HIPAA violations left and right. The front desk will speak of patient matters--name included--at the counter to one another... even talking smack about patients in languages they believe the patient doesn't understand (pro tip: looks can be deceiving so don't judge a book by it's cover). The doctor will discuss lab results and patient matters with his staff in the hallway and at the counter, in earshot of other patients. Overall, DO NOT COME TO THIS OFFICE! Save yourself a headache (and a rip off!*). *Needed forms filled out and signed. The office had me fill out the forms myself and charged me $30 for the doctor to sign. Ridiculous! read more

I've never been to this doctor's office before. I came in for a TB test and was assisted by attentive staff. There was a lot of people in the waiting room, but since the test was administered by a nurse I was only there for 15 minutes. The tb test costs $25. Dr. Ho is an amazing doctor unlike most these days. He's very patient and sincerely cares about his patients. He spends a good amount of time with each patient and asks lots of questions to help diagnose the issue. Some doctors these days don't even ask that many questions and often misdiagnose their patients because they're in such a rush. I went to see Doctor Ho to seek advice about my cough that i have been having the past month and he gave me medication that helped greatly. The Cough went away and i have my voice back. Doctor Ho is a very kind and caring professional doctor and loves to learn and listen to his patients. Also, he answers any questions that you may have and checks up on you to see how you are doing. This is to me a Superb service from the doctor. The office is incredibly squeaky clean and his receptionists are very nice and courteous. I came here today with no appointment around 2:30pm Thursday and it was totally empty which I was glad for. I came in on crutches because I suspected that my ankle might be broken and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Im soo grateful that I came here based on previous yelp reviews because it is right down the street from me and they are relatively new. Dr. Ho is such a nice person and takes his time with you and gets to know you a little bit. I have no insurance and he made every effort to give me a deal and even helped reduce my x ray and prescription costs which I was relieved for. The people and the family members I talked to said I got lucky that this whole thing was a sick deal so I totally recommend Dr. Ho and will go to him in the future again if needed. First time using yelp.. only reason I made this account was for this review actually. I walked into this clinic with a friend and I really liked the doctor.. my friend was the patient. Dr Ho is very professional and I can tell he cares to listen and help the patient.. and then theres Nancy who as far im told by my friends and family is very nice and helpful.. The girl who takes vitals is very nice and kind... something about her makes you feel welcome.. Now your probably asking yourself why 1 star then? My friend had already mentioned the front office had one girl who was extremely rude but I never thought to what extent... she makes the initial visit to the clinic feel so unwelcoming.. always speaking bad about the people there.. just because the people there do not understand english does not make it right to speak bad about them to the girl next to you... i mean come on.. if I heard what makes you think someone else didnt? Another thing.. shes so loud.. her name is Mary and she never lets people speak..always spoke over them.. My friend took me to see if i liked the doctor and I did but Mary honestly made my decision very easy.. I cant go somewhere that feels so unwelcoming thanks to her.. she treats people unfair.. they are there because they are sick.. so dont expect them to be happy campers.. im pretty sure this isnt the field she belongs in.. if they dont get rid of her.. dr ho will soon lose lots of patients unfortunately..oh and another thing its so unprofessional to hear one of the girls in the front say to the other that Dr Ho pays her partially in check and partially in cash??
