This place is open and available with limited capacity. They are sanitizing in between patients. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. While I was here in this establishment, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is behind the building and it is very small. The lot does get full quickly, so you may have to find some street parking, but that shouldn't be an issue. Establishment: The establishment itself is very clean, neat, tidy, small, and organized. They recently moved to a new location, and I love everything except the parking lot because it's so small. A nice upgrade in office space. Yay! Staff: The staff here are very friendly, kind, warm, welcoming, and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. My first time here. And honestly I hadn't gone to a doctor for a check-up since the start of the pandemic and had been putting it off for some time since I felt fine, but finally decided it was time before I was way overdue for one. And dare I say it was a very pleasant visit to Dr. Jen's office for the most part... compared to other doctor visits I've been to, going to Dr. Jen definitely won't be daunting compared to others I've been to. My first impression of the place was already a good start, with a very friendly staff and I appreciate that this place seems to keep things in order where I seemed to be the only patient in the office at the time (which is great for the pandemic situation). Dr. Jen was very thorough in my check-up and I specifically came here to also get a pap smear all at once. Very professional throughout, including his female staff member. The pap smear wasn't all that bad (granted my body wasn't cooperating for part of it but that's not his fault) and he made sure I was comfortable the whole time too. Logistics-wise, it was about 3 months out from when I made my appointment call, but I was ok with it since I didn't have an urgent reason. Office itself is in a good location. It's on the 3rd floor and you can find the entrance to the elevators next to the pharmacy. Bonus for the lab being downstairs if you need to get your blood drawn in the future after the doctor's visit, so it's nice that everything you need is in one location. There's free parking around the building and I didn't have trouble snagging a spot on a Friday afternoon. read more

All these good reviews but if you're a new patient they don't have appointments available until 4 months later. Apparently new patients require an hour long appointment. Seems a bit excessive. Strangely, this doctor also claims everywhere that they are accepting new patients but this is dishonest. Making new patients wait 4 months for an appointment is bad. Shows you they couldn't care less about your health. This office should just admit that they are not accepting new patients instead of advising of 4 month wait for appointments so patients go elsewhere. Avoid and find a different provider. read more

Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Jen. After going to him about a month postpartum, he could've easily disregarded all my symptoms (fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss) as me just having had a baby. He was very thorough, checked my body, and asked a lot of important questions and had me do a blood test which resulted in finding that I have a thyroid issue. **BEWARE of UNETHICAL PRACTICES & BILLING!!! It's rare that I write reviews, but I felt I needed to warn others who might otherwise be taken advantage of as we have been. My elderly father has been a patient for years with no real complaints until this year. After experiencing a fall, my father ended up at an assisted living community where Dr. Jen surprised us with an in-person visit. I didn't think any more of this, except that I later found that Dr. Jen began visiting my dad for a few minutes every few weeks without our family's consent or request, then billing insurance handsomely for the needless visit!!! The office intentionally did not bill us/our family any copay, which would appear as though they were trying to fly under the radar unnoticed. I happened to catch one of these subsequent visits, as I was on the phone with my dad who told me that the visit was 2-3 minutes and involved only a couple of questions. When I questioned Dr. Jen's office, the office manager Wen told me that Dr. Jen was billing the insurance for his time in "reviewing medical records that were sent over by the assisted living facility." This was easy to check, so I did...and it was a lie! The facility never sent Dr. Jen any records; there were none that required review every few weeks anyway; AND my dad's primary care physician on record had been changed to someone entirely different!! If this isn't blatant fraudulent behavior, it certainly comes close. It is INEXCUSABLE that Dr. Jen would take advantage of an elderly patient in this way. It is elder abuse, as Dr. Jen was well aware that my father's abilities have been fading since he has seen me, his daughter, accompany my father to numerous appointments prior to this. read more

Dr. WenCheng Jen is a very patient and caring doctor. I was his patient when he first started in the area about a year ago so I don't know about wait times at the office or for appointments but for me, there was little to no wait time with an appointment and you can make an appointment online on Zoc Doc or by phone. You can view your results and history online too which is convenient for me. I also like that his office is nice and clean and they're updated with technology i.e. sending over prescriptions to the pharmacy. He will not judge you based on what insurance you have and will understand and work with you for any financial difficulties or depending on your situation. He always took the time to answer any questions I had, would do the shots or work himself if his nurse or staff are gone, and genuinely cares and treats you like an individual. Doctors like him are hard to find, especially with a cheaper insurance. His staff is friendly and organized. I moved to a new city and people here charge for forms and tests that he was able to do without paying out of pocket. He made sure my tests were covered by insurance and did not charge me to get copies of my tests or for forms I needed. If I ever move back and have better insurance, he's my first choice. Dr. Jen's Yelp rating is well deserved. As a senior, I have had my fair share of primary care physicians. Dr. Jen is definitely, one above the rest, and well deserves all the positive comments. For one thing, Dr. Jen shows care and does not run through his appointments in herds. He is punctual and I have not ever seen more than one patient waiting. Dr. Jen carefully goes over all the medications I'm taking and makes sure my other medical doctors are sending him updated reports. In one meeting, he spent a whole hour going through my medical status and making good recommendations for maintaining good health. There is genuine caring in his voice. When I called the office for medical advice, it is answered in a timely fashion. The success of a doctor's office often depends on the competency of the front office staff. These assistants are friendly, accommodating, good listeners, and efficient. They take copious notes on the patient's condition and requests. My past experiences with doctor offices are usually negative. The long wait is almost always the problem. However, this office is very different, in a good way. Dr. Jen grew up in San Gabriel Valley and has returned to raise his family in the same area after working in another part of Southern California. Therefore, he is building a new practice and has room for new patients. Dr. Jen has superb bedside manner and very good office support. They all seem to genuinely care about the patients and take the time and make the effort to communicate well with the patients. Dr. Jen is concerned about taking care of all your medical needs and will make extra effort to get referrals and needed exceptions with insurance for genuine medical needs. Dr. Jen is a generalist. While he can do routine OB/GYN exams, he is not a specialist in that area. So, depending on your needs, you can have him manage routine care and screening in that area or get referred to a dedicated OB/GYN for more detailed services or if you prefer a specialist in that area. He is good about referring people when appropriate. Office manager Cynthia is very accommodating in getting questions answered, setting up appointments, forwarding test results, working with insurance, and coordinating tasks with the medical assistant. Dr. Jen also takes a lot of different types of insurance and is associated with a medical group that has a variety of specialists. Dr. Jen has a heart for the community and is eager to provide patient-centered medical care. I and my son both go to him. We both feel he cares about us as individuals. My insurance is more limited than the insurance I had previously, and he and his staff are working with me to get what I and my son need despite that. Importantly, when I was concerned about a test result possibly being inaccurate based on what a tech said at a different facility, Dr. Jen looked into it and wrote me a detailed email to clear up the matter. His willingness to communicate in detail is a major plus for me. I like to understand what is going on with my health and keep things up to date and accurate. Dr. Jen's office is basic as is the building it's in. The waiting room has comfortable chairs and a TV on the wall. The restroom is outside the office down the hall. I haven't had to wait very long, but I am not a person who gets upset with having to wait a while because waiting usually means the doctor is willing to spend time with patients who need it. Still, they schedule plenty of time, and so waiting is not a big issue at his office. I go to Dr. Jen for caring and thorough medical care. I feel very comfortable and well cared for with Dr. Jen and his staff. I am treated with respect, kindness, and professionalism. I recommend Dr. Jen to people who are looking for a general physician or internist to manage their general medical care and refer them to specialists within his group as needed.
