I'd like to share my personal feedback about Dr. Liao's office based on my recent experiences since January 2026. The staff has consistently demonstrated courtesy, patience, and a genuinely helpful attitude. Every interaction--whether in person or over the phone--has been handled with professionalism and care. During a recent call, they remained patient and attentive, ensuring I received my results even though I needed to wait about six (6) minutes. Their willingness to assist and their calm, respectful manner made the experience smooth and reassuring. Overall, the team's professionalism, kindness, and commitment to patient support truly stand out and deserve recognition. read more

Typical service. Difficult getting appoint meant. Feel rushed during appointment. No summary after visit.

Dr. Angela Liao has been my family doctor for years. There is usually a long wait to schedule an appointment to see her. Luckily I don't have many medical issues so mainly going there for yearly check up. The support staff has been courteous and friendly this year when I had to cancel and reschedule an appointment. Dr. Liao has excellent bed side manner. She has 10 years of my health records so when she notices something I need to pay attention to my health, she said it the gentlest way possible. I will continue to see Dr. Angela Liao for as long as my insurance allows. *she is in the same office as her brother, Dr. Andrew Liao. He is also very gentle and patient. read more

I would stay away from this doctor and his staff. Today i talked to two of his receptionist and they were very rude, not friendly or caring at all. All I was trying to do is make an appointment. They put me on hold for 15 min and when i called back another 10 min so i just hung up. They were just rude people and i would never trust a doctor who has people like that working for them. read more

Review is for the office manager only. The doctor (Angela) was nice and informative for the times i met with her. Office manager is horrible. Refuses requests by insurance to send in pre-authorization requests so the patient is not on the hook paying out of pocket costs for lab work. How can you be "in-network" and not submit paperwork requested by insurance?!?! read more

Recently came for my annual physical with Dr. Andrew Liao. I had a pretty pleasant experience. It was easy and quick to make an appointment over the phone, I wasn't charged anything additional to what my appointment was for, and the overall process was pretty smooth. Dr. Liao was very quiet and friendly and asked great questions. You can tell that he's compassionate, understanding, and has a patient-first mentality. Dr. Liao was a fantastic listener and prescribed me exactly what I needed. The office was able to send the order so that it was ready to pickup at my local pharmacy right after my appointment. Unfortunately, Liyu the office manager didn't give me the time of day, didn't even say hi or acknowledge me until she was ready to sign me in. What is it with office works in the healthcare field being grouchy? Also, I waited inside the patient room for 20-ish minutes before Dr. Liao was ready to see me (I didn't mind, but just a heads up to bring a book or something to do while you wait!) Parking is ample, office is clean, and seats are socially distanced. read more

Meh. I've been going to Dr Angela Liao for 6 years and am now deciding to switch primary care physicians. Her staff isn't the best. They do not pick up the phone nor return calls, and they make it extremely hard to schedule time. They are strict about annual visits and how they have to be exactly a year or after. It feels inconvenient and most places do not enforce this rule. Dr Angela Liao also isn't the best in remembering details and rambles a lot. read more

Liyu Qiu who is at the front desk has really bad attitude towards me. I was sick and want to see Dr. Angela Liao who is my PMP. I called the office in the morning @0915 on Feb23, nobody answered when it's supposed to be office hour, so I left a massage according to the directions of the answer machine. Nobody called me back (the answer machine massaged I will be contacted). So I walked in at 1150 and signed in on sign-in sheet and sat down. Later Liyu Qiu showed up at the windows, crossed out my name on the sheet using a red pen, claiming the office closes at 1200 sharp and she will close the window right at 1200. Her face looks stiff, strict like she is a law enforcement officer I was not treated as a vulnerable sick patient/customer who is seeking for medical help, but someone who did something wrong! Her attitude is really rude, not giving any explanation. There was no respect at all, forget about professionalism. I asked I need to complain about her but was told to sit down. In the mean time she was accepting other customers when they walk back in, ignores me the whole time even though I said I understand there won't be spots open for seeing Dr. and I am not trying to see Dr. this afternoon anymore, but just to tell Dr. angela that I complain about her. During the whole time I have been ignored until later into their lunch break, Dr. Liao came by to hear patiently on my story. All the other staffs and Dr. Liao have been very professional except for the ruthless Liyu Qiu. Bad experience with this lady one more time! read more

We love Dr. Angela Liao. We've been going to her for a long time now and she's always been really good to our family. I appreciate that she does not sugar-coat things for me, she'll tell me the hard truth for my own good. I do need it sometimes, especially with regards to my health. Another thing we really appreciate is that whenever we needed to see a specialist, she was always willing to write us a referral. We feel like she genuinely cares about our well-being. The problem I have is that it has been so difficult to reach a live person at the office lately. It's been a real problem making appointments when you can't speak to a live person. I'll leave a message and someone will get back to me a day later, but sometimes that doesn't work. At one point, I couldn't even leave a message because the voice message box was full. I had a tele-health appointment today. I got a message saying I need to pay before the appointment. So I called and left a message. They called me back, but I'm on the road. I called them back and I'm on hold for a long time. So we're playing phone tag the whole afternoon it seems. Finally it's time for my appointment and I log on. I was hoping that I could just take care of the payment during the consultation. I waited 17 plus minutes and even got on the chat to leave a message, but nothing. I called the office a few times and finally got through only to be on hold for 8 minutes. When I finally got a live person, I explained that I was waiting in the virtual waiting room and Dr. Liao didn't show up. She said that they tried calling me five times to get payment, since they couldn't reach me they thought I cancelled. Even when I told them that I left a message and tried calling, it didn't matter to them. I also aired out my grievances about how difficult it has been to reach someone at the office, but she just brushed that off like she didn't care. Now I have to wait another five weeks for my next appointment. Not good for my blood pressure!! read more

This is an overdue review. I would never see this doctor, she talks too much and does not examine the patient properly and just ignore the patient's symptoms, she did not order labs for my mom's persistent cough for several months. We had to change doctor to find out she had a thyroid cancer after surgery. But if wasn't for the new doctor to order labs, the cancer would have spreaded. read more

I have been trying to see Dr Angela Liao since May as a new patient and wasn't able to get an appointment till August, a week before my appointment they called and asked if I wanted to keep my appointment to which I replied "yes" and then they told me she would not be in the office that day.... so i rescheduled for September. Once again they called and rescheduled me for October... Received another call today and was told once again she would not be able to see me on the day they had RERESCHEDULED me for so at this point I just canceled all together and will not being seeing her at all. The receptionist were also very unfriendly when they called 3 times to reschedule me. Would not recommend this office unless you're okay with waiting 6 months to see the doctor if they don't cancel on you. If I could I would give this office ZERO stars. read more

Been coming here for years. Love Angela liao as a dr she is always the best when it comes to treatment

I've been seeing Dr. Andrew Liao for several years. The office is very professional and clean. It's very personalized care. He listens and tailors the exam to address my concerns. The times I have gone, the wait has been short. His staff normally calls with test results but Dr. Liao called me personally to discuss my recent abnormal test results. He also provided me with a list of doctors he recommends for additional care. I am also very happy with the new doctor on my care team. My parents will be transferring their care to this office soon based on recommendations by others and the positive experience I've had. read more

I was looking for a new PCP as my insurance changed. Got a referral from my friend to check her out. Also this is a brother sister duo that shares the same office so if one of them is not in there is always a backup. The building is old so I expected the office to be in not so great shape. I made an appointment gave all my insurance info and arrived with 10 mins to spare. I walked in and to my amazement the office is pretty modern and chic. Everything is clean and the front staff is very efficient. Paid my copay (only cash or check) and was called in for weight, blood pressure and pulse. Saw Dr. Angela Liao and she was very knowledgeable. Gave me all the info I needed to hear and I was on my way. I highly recommend her but make sure she accepts your insurance. The wait time is not long at all and you are in and out in a timely matter. Thumbs up. read more

According to all of the reviews, the office staff never picks up or returns your calls. I, too, left several voice messages and am still waiting for their call back. I'm looking for a new doctor for my wife and I. Dr. Andrew and Angela Liao are fine, but I am sure we can find better office staff and doctors somewhere else. read more

I have been trying to get an appointment since April, for the past 3 months, no one get back to me. if they can't handle a large client population, why keep on taking NEW customers? I will definitely change to another doctor. also, last time i saw Dr. Angela, I asked for Antibiotics for my throat and cough (back in December 2022). She refused. She only wants to prescribe me cough syrup. I know my body. even though she is an expert, but her NOT prescribing me any antibiotics, my cough have been ongoing for the past 7 months (from December 2022 till now July 2023). She is horrible. Maybe she wants to prescribe only cough syrup at first and when that doesn't work, to see her again for antibiotics... to collect another copay of $10? To always go back to her for visits (to collect more copay $$)? read more

I've been coming here for the past ten years since graduating from pediatric care. I started off seeing Dr Angela, who has always been friendly and approachable. She's gotten increasingly busy over the years and is usually booked a month or two in advance so I've been seeing her brother, Dr Andrew Liao for my physical & well woman exams. Dr Andrew is extremely patient and more soft spoken but is just as knowledgeable as his sister. The office staff have always been nice and efficient. I've never had trouble booking appointments, requesting reports, and getting notified of my test results. I hope they stick around for a long time because I plan to see them for many years to come. read more

Wish I could leave zero stars, but doesn't let me unfortunately. Idk why I came back here thinking the office has changed. They still take forever and they are horrible. My appointment was at 11:15am and it was 12:10 and still hadn't been seen. I had my 2 year old daughter with me and she was getting so hungry. I feel like they discriminate against you if you're not Asian. They have always taken forever to see me, but any other Asian person gets seen right away. I asked for my copay refund because it's ridiculous that I had to wait so long. I ended up having to leave because my daughter was hungry and it's just simply insane having to wait that long when a visit only lasts 5min per patient. My husband called off work to take me. It was so unprofessional of them to say I'll have an appointment and not even get seen. My husband could've gone to work. It was an absolute waste of our time. I wanted to check some health issues I've been dealing with and didn't get to. Don't come here if you're expecting to be seen by a doctor. Chances are you won't! read more

I can relate to all the negative reviews below. Dr. Andrew was my family doctor for two years, but I decided to change the family doctor. First of all, the staffs there are rude and disrespectful, especially the office manager who sits in the front, wears a pair of glasses with short hair and speaks Mandarin. This lady is rude, insolent and disrespectful. I was supposed to receive a prescription from Dr. Andrew Liao during the visit, but this lady asked me to get out of the waiting room, made payment first without giving the prescription to me, and said that you were done for the visit. I came here for the prescription, made the payment, saw the doctor, and left without the prescription. Isn't it so funny and ironic? Why would I come for a visit? What service was I paying for? I asked her to clarify with Dr. Andrew as I was supposed to get the prescription. She was angry and annoyed. She ignored me and complained a lot to Dr Andrew. And then this lady said in a disrespectful way, "You can change family doctor to someone else. We have lots of patients come to see us. We don't need to see you. You don't like it, just change it". Therefore, I changed the family doctor to someone else. I would not recommend this Dr Andrew Liao's Office to anyone. I don't see any appreciation from the staff and doctor for the old patients. They are super nice to attract new patients, but they treat the old patients like shits. As long as they keep attracting new patients to come and earn lots of money, they don't care about their services and attitudes toward the old patients. Last but not least, it is always difficult to make appointments. The phone line is always busy and transfers to voice mail. Even though you are lucky enough to call in, you will get the appointment scheduled for a month later. It is useless and wastes your time. Again, I don't recommend this doctor office to anyone. The office manager is rude, insolent and disrespectful. She is the worst clinic staff I have ever seen in my life. read more

If I can give zero star I would! Visit Dr Liao for 1st annual check in July-2019 Caution!!! they will collect cash for office visit base on their office collection not base on your insurance co-pay! According to my Cigna insurance my annual exam there is no co-payment or office visit fee. This office is Devious and fraudulent asking for copayment or Office visit fee! Per the office clerk collect my fee and saying that Dr Liao will refund to me once they verify with my insurance. When, I receive my EOB they got paid for my annual exam. I called the office requesting for my office visit fee refund. The office staff said they never collected from me. I ask they to pull the Surveillance video they gives me the run around and said they will check with Dr Liao. 1 month later the office clerk said that the video was looped and was Erased! Therefore they cannot refund me. I ask Dr Liao to call me back. He never did!!! Don't go there! I wouldn't refer any of my families or friends! read more

I've been going to Dr Andrew for a few years now and him and his sister are the best experience I've ever had with a dr. They're both compassionate and take their time with each visit I've had. Always so helpful with any paperwork you might need done.. I highly recommend Dr Andrew and his sister Angela Liao. read more

Don't see this doctor. My mom is 85 years old and had seen Dr. Andrew Liao few times. Every time she needs to wait at least two hours to see him with the appointment, so ridiculous and horrible. Two weeks ago she had urine infection and saw Andrew, he supposed to email the antibiotic prescription to the pharmacy but he didn't because he doesn't care about his patients at all. I had to call his office the next day left messages many times to ask him for email the prescriptions. It's always very hard to talk to someone in his office, no one answers phone calls. Andrew Liao asked my mom to do blood test and urine test on 4/24/2021 , until today 5/6/2021 he never explained the results to us. Again I have to call the office and the receptionist keeps telling me he is so so so busy? Wow so you have no time to read the test results from the lab? He is there only for the money not for his patients. He is the worst doctor I've ever met. Don't go there. read more

Dr. Angela Liao should be an interior designer. Her office is very nicely decorated. I arrived 20 minutes before my 10:30 AM appointment and finally met Dr. Liao at around 12:30, 2 hours after my appointment. That's pretty ridiculous. Other than that, I have to say Dr. Liao is a pretty hip gangstah knowledgeable Dr. She would use huge words to tell me about whatever sciencey thing there is to say (knowledgeable part) then all of a sudden she'd bust a YO whaddup yo I'm so fly g here and there when she speaks of hypothetical situations. It's kind of weird but entertaining. She left a voice mail with my blood test results and that was about 5 minutes long explaining everything I've ever wanted to know about my blood tests. Props to that, yo! Overall: She's a pretty fly g dawg doc, but the wait time is ridiculous. read more

I really appreciate Dr. Angela Liao and Dr. Andrew Liao, I been with their clinic since 2011, they always very patience and willing to listen to you, as my last visit, I got the lab appointment set up and specialist referral in the same day. that really help me a lot, solve my worries! I wrote my first post before I went to my last visit.. I called the office trying to schedule the same day appointment so I to avoid going to urgent care. I was feeling like crap and uncomfortable.. The lady was so rude, I asked for her name.. She told me and she started be more polite (I bet she knew where I was going..) then I said.. "Is this the kind of service you guys provide to patients?" She says "what kind?" I said "Quite rude and impolite" She says.."oh, I'm sorry." I said.. "This is like my 4 or 5 time calling you guys since I had you guys (6 months).. and every single time I get this service whether i am trying to schedule to see doctor or questions ." So when I got to the office to check in later that day... they were polite from the first minute to the last minute i stepped out.. after I hung up with her, I called my insurance to switch doctor. When I went to see Dr. Andrew. This is my first time seeing him. He is a great doctor.. spend the time listening and speaking.. just like his sister.. Before I end my visit to leave the room.. he said.. "it shows that you will start with a new doctor starting tomorrow. is there a specific reason?" I told the doctor my lovely experienceS WITH THE STAFF THEY HIRE.. I simply was straight fwd... You guys are great doctors but with these kind of customer service. its going to limit the business expansion... told him I understand how tedious and stressful it can be cuz I used to work at a family doctor.. But, my doctor never ever allow i treat patient like that.. I got yell once just because I didn't smile and patient felt not welcome.. Perhaps he is still young.. telling me I can't find good doctor with good experience.. WELL, HE IS TOTALLY WRONG... I WORKED AT A FAMILY DOCTOR.. The doctor was great and we provided great service to make patient feel welcome, love, we have compassion and considerate... we understand they dont want to come see the doctor but we are here to help and make them feel we care.. Wish them luck... I told him.. I will reconsider this office when customer service improve.. for now.. I'm going somewhere even though i need to drive farther. read more

Cash only. What's the point of making an appointment when you still have to wait for so long. I made my appointment over the phone for 3pm for my annual physical. The person who picked up the call don't know anything and keep putting me on hold to ask her colleague for my questions. When I came I signed in and I saw in the sign in sheet that another patient came in for 3pm appointment so I questioned the front desk and they said my appointment is actually at 3 15pm. Really?! And then even with my appointment, I still had to wait over an hour to see Dr. Liao... Really unacceptable read more

2 1/2 weeks to get an appointment. When I asked what I should do they said go to the hospital. So much for having a doctor

Angela Liao has bad bedside manners, was in a hurry (She even have a big sign inside the exam room saying she will see you "only for 15 minutes"). She didn't really show care on me as a patient, but was curious to see my visually unappealing symptoms. She made a mistake on my blood/urine test order. She and her staff only care about making petty money - they charge a fee if you use credit card instead of cash, they want you to make an appointment (paying another copay just to get a yes from her) to come to see Liao for every step of further care involving referrals although I just saw her and I was sent to that referral from herself. Entire office and the doc are horrible at communication, it takes forever to get referrals, etc. read more

I recently changed my primary family doctor on my insurance card to Angela Liao as per yelp & online reviews. I was looking for someone still young (not over 50) and studied western medicine rather then eastern medicine (you will be surprised how doctors think differently because of this). Let me tell you yelpers, I made a great choice. Angela Liao is a great doctor! She's very thorough with her examinations. The types of questions she asks, and the way she explains herself makes her superb. I came out of my examination learning a lot and felt at ease with my stomach illness. For a young person like myself, there's a better connection made between patient and doctor which is definitely needed in medicine! Tip: Take the stairs :) The elevator is old and there's 2, and they need to go up 6 floors. When it's busy, the elevator takes forever! read more

Office address change: 301 west Huntington drive #301 Arcadia CA. It's right across from Methodist hospital I recently changed my primary doctor to Dr Angela Liao. Office is very clean and updated. Office staff is very professional and friendly. The atmosphere there feels calm and not hectic compare to other doctor offices. Dr Angela Liao was very professional and easy to talk to. She was not in a rush like most primary doctors. She actually took time to listen. I came in today for a basic physical, lab work and specialist referrals. read more

I am a big fan of Dr. Liao as her patient of 10 years. She is a perfect blend of professionalism, extenstive knowledge, and friendliness you want in a doctor. She has been always dead on about what's troubling me when I have visited her. I also never feel rushed when I visit and feel like she truly cares about me. The only downside is Dr. Liao is heavily booked. Plan to schedule a month ahead for an early a.m. appoinment. I'm sure you can book earlier but just don't expect to get the time you want with a week's notice. Disregard cee c's review of Dr. Liao. I don't even know why she reviewed Dr. Liao's brother and not her! read more

I kind of suspect the good reviews, the staff here is quite rude and unsympathetic. I visited the office for my ankle pain. I have PPO insurance, and HSA account credit card (also other credit cards), but they told me they only accept cash. They refused all other methods, and asked me to walk around to find ATM to withdraw cash for them immediately, while my ankle was very painful. Well, they can get hundreds of dollars from my insurance for this visit, but they are still so mean that even want squeeze $35 copay from me right away. I guess they only care about very dollar they can earn from their patients, not anything else. This is the only doctor's I met that only accept cash and refuse other payment methods. I strongly believe they are doing some tax tricks. I will try my best to dissuade anyone going there, because I do not think anyone want to be treated like slave by those "gold-diggers". read more

Review for the staff/whoever is responsible for mis-billing insurance! Terrible experience! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND! Came here for the first time for an office visit check up. I waited 2 hours for Dr. ANDREW Liao after my appointed schedule. Then, Receptionist told me I had to leave two checks one in case my insurance doesn't pay for the visit and another one for in case they do. The receptionist claims that she couldnt get a hold of my insurance the same day so thats why she wants me to pay ahead of them even though I gave her my insurance information in advance!...(10am that day) No complicated diagnosis, he did not have to run tests or do anything out of the ordinary for ear check! Then I find out, they over charged me. I get no notice other than my own insurance telling me that they paid it out for me. So the Dr's office has collected MORE THAN they should've. Then sends me in circles to call their billing deptment to claim my money back and then tells me the Dr. needs to review it but it has been 3 weeks since my insurance notified me.... Basically, I wish someone would audit them for this mishandling of insurance and billing. And to watch your back with these people running the office. btw, the doctor didnt even prescribe the right type of medication that I had a 3 day delay to get it.. the whole purpose why I even went in.. I have had better doctors and dealt with better staff , I know their excuses because I have worked in one before.. read more

Alright, so after doing some research, I realize what they're doing isn't misbilling insurance. Rather, they did a poor job of explaining of the charges are going to work (i.e. telling me cost w/o insurance is $85, when in reality it depended on the medical code they charged to my insurance and how much my insurance deemed the allowable price of the code is). Still not happy though since a year ago I came in with a cold, was charged $85, when the allowable cost for a "cold" was less something, and they never gave me a refund, until a year later now when I finally looked into the whole thing and asked about it. THEN their billing told me oh, you have a credit, want to apply it towards your charge this time? So I guess if I hadn't said anything they'd just continue to hold on to my over-payment from over a year ago and happily take new payments. So to clarify, no, they're not misbilling insurance, but their billing is still questionable. read more

I have been searching for a new doctor for some time now...calling different offices, yelping doctors...trying to get the scoop on who is good and what not. I called Dr. Liao's office just right now, asking basic questions and I have never talked to a receptionist that was so RUDE. Considering that I've been working in the health profession environment (dental offices mainly) for some time now, I know how a regular phone conversation should be! I was disappointed too, because after reading the first two reviews I was hoping this could be my doctor, but if the front staff is LIKE THAT..I don't even want to step foot in that office. Sorry, but I have to rate this OFFICE alone a 1 star (1 star is not for Dr. Liao because I've never met her). read more

For the past two years I have been a patient of Dr. Angela Liao. A few months back I had to begin seeing a specialist and getting some additional tests done for a medical issue. I'm on an HMO so Dr. Liao is the first step and then from there I was referred on and on and on. In the past four months I have seen three additional doctors, a radiologist and had multiple blood tests. Dr. Liao's office has been the most organized user friendly office. The front end staff is friendly and professional. They follow up when a referral is approved through my insurance and notify me on the phone. They forward on blood work results to the required doctor without having to be asked time and again like some of the other offices I saw. In addition, I don't have to wait over an hour past my appointment time to be seen. It is generally on time. Dr. Liao has been very compassionate with me, taking the time to address my concerns, talk over options, and even pass a tissue when needed. read more
