I have to switch my primary care doctor as my company switched health insurance carrier. I selected Dr. Ida Wang as her office is close to my work office. Maybe it's my first visit and the office took some time setting up all my paperwork and looked for my prior health records from other medical institutions. It took an hour till I finally met Dr. Wang. Once I met her, she was very patience with me, explained all my medical vitals and suggested a plan. I've been trying to call for the past 4 days (and I left a message) but no one has gotten back to me or even picked up the phone. I just get the same automated voice message every. Damn. Time. Dr. Wang must be doing something right because she has a loyal customer base. How am I going to make an appointment if no one's gonna pick up the phone though?????? They are very inefficient with appointments. Whether you make an appointment or walk-in, you're bound to wait 30+ min. They seem to have enough staff who seem busy but even with only 2 patients waiting, we still have to wait 30 min. Why? Care is basic and minimal. Staff turnover seem frequent. TIPS: - if you don't have an appointment try to get to the office at least 15 minutes before they open the doors so you have an early spot for the walk-in list - if you don't have an appointment, get ready to wait a minimum of 1 1/2 hours, maybe even 2 hours - street parking in the front and private parking in the back of the office Although the wait can be excruciatingly long I still really like going to Dr. Wang's office! The front office staff are all great and friendly and Dr. Wang and her nurse practitioners are all really knowledgeable and open to all my questions whenever I need to get a check up. The first few times I had to get checked out I was looked over by Nurse Jacqueline and she was great! All in all, as long as you have the time to spare, this is a great doctor's office to go to. read more

I switched doctors and found Dr Wang. Her Staffs are very nice and informative. Dr Wang takes the time to explain things to you thoroughly and recommend things that you actually need. All her referrals were great and facilities were clean unlike other places I've been to. She also has another doctor that works with her when she's out. I believe her name is Dr. Ling. She is just as good as Dr. Wang. I was very comfortable with both doctors and would highly recommend others. I love Dr. Wang. She's been my doctor for over a decade and she's very thorough. Anytime I have a concern she has no problem sending me for testing to ensure everything is ok and to give me peace of mind. I'm a bit of a hypochondriac so I definitely need someone who reassures me. I admit that there can be long wait times but I have noticed vast improvement over the years. They also utilize a patient portal so it's easy to see your records and get results from any procedure from specialist. read more

My mom told me that she waited over 2 hours one time with appointment. They really need to get organized and do a better job at scheduling appointment. Dr wang and her stuffs are a great example of uncompassionate health care professionals. I went there 15 mins before my appointment and then had to wait another 30-45 mins past appointment time until they brought me inside the room. If you think the wait is over, then you are wrong. Inside the room, I waited for another 20 mins to be seen by dr Wang. During the short 5 mins with dr Wang, she left 3 times to check on something else. I left without getting any sort of actual care. I don't really understand why they have so many patients with this level of care. Or they only created the illusion of lots of patients by making people wait a very long time. Definitely the best Internist I've ever had. I have referred my mother, mother-in-law, mother-in-laws friend, sister-in-laws friend, husband, sister and friend...7 people total and they each only have nice compliments about this physician. I work with MDs all day in many hosptials and she truly is the best. She takes the time to make sure you are taken care of. Take the time to listen to what you have to say instead of rushing you like most MDs these days. Does follow-up calls to your home to see how you are doing after a office visit. I think things have changed since last year, b/c the last 2 reviews do not reflect my experiences at Dr. Wang's Office. The front desk staff is terrible and unfriendly. They put you on hold forever while the line ends up dropping. When you try and call back the line is just busy. The wait is ridiculous, even when you have an appointment. I waited over 45mins before I saw a doctor even though I had an appointment. The wait for a walk-in is about 2-3hrs. The office is always overcrowded with patients. I've gone twice, thinking it was just a bad day, but I tried making a 3rd appointment and its over 2 weeks for another opening. I haven't met Dr. Wang yet, so I can't review her. The other doctor that saw me, told me she was "too busy" so she took care of me. She was nice but evaluated my problems for maybe 5-10 mins and let me go. I really like Dr. Wang and the care she provides, but that only comes after a wait of at least an hour WITH AN APPOINTMENT. In all the times I've seen her, I don't think I've ever waited less than an hour. During a walk-in without an appointment, expect to spend 2 hours or more in the waiting room. I can understand a long wait during a walk-in, but having to wait more than 60 minutes WITH an appointment and this happens EVERY time? It's ridiculous. At my kids' doctor, the wait has never been more than 20 minutes and more often than not, it's less than 5 minutes. Even without an appointment, they're seen in less than 30-45 minutes! And my kids' doctor is great and not rushing us (that I can perceive). Because of this ridiculous waiting time, I found myself not seeing the doctor as often as I should, so I finally switched after a decade with Dr. Wang. It's a testament to her that I waited so long and I was genuinely sad to switch because Dr. Wang is a kind and caring person and a great doctor. If you have ample time on your hands and don't mind waiting a long time for good care, then you won't go wrong with Dr. Wang. She really is an excellent doctor if you can handle the wait. But if you have better things to do than spend your time in a waiting room, try another doctor. I'm still feeling out my new doctor, but I have no complaints so far, especially not about the wait, which has been less than 10 minutes every time. Their is ALWAYS a long wait! Whether you are there on time, or not. Wait is ridiculous and once inside Dr. Wang is good and attentive, but always seems rushed and distracted. She's taken other calls while in the room with me? Isn't that a HIPPA violation? I can hear what you are saying about other patients helloo? Came here for my yearly check up and I made myself an appointment at 9:30am (they are HIGHLY appointment only, so don't forget to call and schedule ahead!) I was there a little bit earlier than they opened but I waited only like 5 minutes and then was walked into a room. Her assistants came in and asked their questions and shortly after Dr. Wang came in to see me. She was great, really enthusiastic and helpful. I came in for a birth control renewal and to see if she could prescribe me anything to help with my eczema. In a matter of minutes the Nurse Practitioner and Dr. Wang was able to send my prescription for BC and an ointment to the pharmacy that I frequently visit and was out the door in less than an hour. My mom has been going to her for at least 20 years, but this last year as my mom as aged.....97 years old, it has been terrible at this office. I took her in after a fall, and asked for a letter of incapitated to be put on my mother's checking account, she wouldn't do it....sent to a psych and neurologist, I called the first doctor for psych console, he isn't taking on new patients, shouldn't a doctor's office know this before hand, I've been calling the second referral since Nov 26, oh we don't have referral, our office is closed today we don't have and electricity, called again...we will have the scheduler call you back Tues or Wednesday called a week later we don't have referral and just called today no referral again, really do they think my mother is going to get any younger, all I wanted was a letter of incapitated (sp) and all this since November 2.....ridiculous. Changing doctors after this.....too long of wait time in waiting room and 5 minutes in the room.....and half the time you don't see Dr Wang it's one of her many PA's that you see but they can't even prescribe any medications......I called to get something to make my mother sleep at night instead of waking me up three times a night....oh just give her mellatona.....outta here read more

Staff makes a lot mistakes. You will be charged $25.00 for any forms that the doctor has to sign. I was seen by the nurse prac. and she flew through the exam and did not follow up any of the the things she did do correctly. Glad to say I'm never coming back here. I've been going to this office for years and the front desk is pure crap. I was extremely sick and I waited for 2 and a half hours just to leave after seeing many of the patients who came after us go in first. When we asked for our money back to leave, the guy at the front desk just gave us our money and laughed, didn't even try to convince us to stay. Honestly, if you're not sick and you waited in that crowded, stuffy, and dirty office; you're most likely going to get sick. While Dr. Wang is an excellent doctor, her staff are some of the most incompetent and non-caring people that I've ever met. She is always overbooked with appointments taking over an hour after you arrive just to get into the back and at least an other half hour to see the doctor. Be prepared to spend the whole day there even with an appointment. If you don't have an appointment, forget it. You'll be there all day regardless of when you get there. Her staff constantly ignores requests for medication refills from pharmacies and loses other important documentation. When you call to follow up, they simply say they'll take care of it with no follow up to what caused the incident in the first place. I was even told that for a routine drug I've been taking for years would not be filled until I have a checkup first... when I had just gone in 2 months ago. Dr. Wang has told her staff on multiple occasions to call me and follow up on things with absolutely no follow through. I show up for my next appointment with her and she asks why I haven't done the things that she asked me to do after the last results came in... except... I was never told to do those things because her staff never bothered to call. Some of these things could have been life threatening. read more

I've been come to see Dr Wang for the last 25+ years, she was great, she's still great, but the staff getting un-organized, unfriendly, too busy not to pickup phone, and her patients has to wait longer, last time I came without an appointment and I arrived at about 9:00am(actually 8:50am, but they don't open 'til 9am), I can't leave until 1pm, then xray blood test, it become my whole day event now. If I need to see her in urgent, even I have appointment, which I have to make about 2 month in advance, I still have to wait 30-45min before I can see Dr. Wang. If we already build trust relational ship between me & the Dr. Wang, please do not throw me to another Dr. Ling, be honest, I would rather see Dr. Wang. But due to the wait time and the office staffs, I have no choice but switch to a different Dr. I can't predict if I'm going to be sick in 2 months so I can make an appointment 2 months in advance, or I really don't like to site in your office for 4 hr then I get sicker.
