Shortly after moving to the Valley, my out of state plates were expiring. Only problem was that my check engine light was on. My out of state mechanic had checked it out a few months before, and said it was fine, but a check engine light = a failed emissions test = no AZ registration/plates for me. I took the car to an AAMCO for a free diagnostic test. They wanted to do another test (a smoke test?) for something like $150, $175 to be able to see what the real problem was. Something in my gut said that was a ripoff. Anyways, I went to SDA, they did the free diagnostic, and then said their price for the smoke test was $40. They did the test, then said to drive around for a few days and they would charge me when I came back if everything was ok. Well the check engine light went off, and my car passed the emissions test a few days later. The day after I passed the test, my check engine light came back on. I called SDA to give them my credit card info over the phone to pay for the test. I told them that my check engine light came back on, but it was after I passed the test. The manager, David, told me not to worry about paying for the test. Wow! I have since went there to have them replace one of my headlights. They didn't charge me for that either. So far, my car has been very good to me, but anytime it needs repair, I will definitely be going to SDA. read more

Way over priced. It was cheaper to pay to have it towed to another shop(that I should have in the first place) than to have it fixed here. Even as we towed it in four employees watched as we pushed the car into a parking spot not one person would help but they did watch. Awesome customer service. After my last experience with them doing an alignment and it pulling worse then before, I asked the manager if they even road tested it he said yes but no respectable tech' should have let it go that way, tire pull or not at least tell me when I'm paying for it! Did absolutely nothing to fix our overheating vehicle except replace parts that turned out to be unnecessary and over priced. Replaced a thermostat with an incorrect model. Spent over $700 and the vehicle still overheated. Said they were going to have to spend another $600 dollars for yet another part (third time i would have brought it in for the same problem). Took it to someone else, they did the same job for $250, noticed the incorrect thermostat, replaced it and now the vehicle works fine. Never take your car here. And don't let the manager pull one over on you. He's a silver tongued lying jack ass that will say anything to get your money (and not fix the damn car). read more

I took my car in for an oil change this past week and had a great experience! I had never been to this location but since I was in the area and was extremely over due for an oil change I thought I would try them out. I was in and out in about 30 minutes! Even though they were extremely busy and had many other cars that were being worked on they took great care of me, especially Devan. He was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable about the service being done to my car. He gave the best customer service I have ever experienced and made me feel like a VIP customer. I came in for an oil change on my Nissan and they were very friendly. I called to make an appointment but they let me come in same day. The best part was that they let me bring my dog in to wait with me in the lobby. I don't usually bring him with me but it just worked out that I had him. He's a 100 lb bloodhound so I fully expected to have to wait outside with him, but they still let us wait in the lobby. Very cool that they did that, and they were all very friendly.
