There is NO WAY i will bring any of my cars back to this place. Not only do they charge more but work done is horrible. Problems encountered. 1) Fix the automatic window regulator in the rear left where my daughter normally sits. Picked up the car and while making a right turn, door flings open when it is locked. Luckily my daughter was not in the car and no one got hit. Returned it but never told me what they fixed. Also a screwdriver was left in my daughters car seat. 2) Took the car for oil change and got a call that need to replace the radiator hose and cap. Even though did not have issues before and trusting I stupidly said yes. Got the car back and for the next 2 weeks had to bring back in because car overheated several times. And this was in the springtime. No way i would recommend this place. More horror stories but I hope this is enough. read more

This Sun Devils Auto Repair is very badly and they weren't honesty with the customers liked me! I have radiation replaced by them and it was still under warranty, but when it was leaking and I took my car back for replacement, then they charged more for other things related to it that they told me why the radiation leaked! Anyway, I told them put the broken one back and I did not wanted to pay more money because it was under warranty! The reason they wanted to charged $500.00, and I thought it made no sense!!! I never come back here for any repair in the future with their unfriendly to the customer!!!!! read more

After having a horrible experience with a SDA in Scottsdale, I vowed I would never set foot in another location. My fiance began going to this new location when it opened not too long ago, and has raved about how good they've been to her there. So...I gave in and tried it out. The few times I've been there for oil changes and minor repairs they've been very friendly, and not pushy with recommendations. They do get busy, especially on Saturday, I recommend getting in early. They take appointments only during the week, Sat. is first come first served. After moving to the far reaches of the southeast valley, this is my new spot. read more

I want to start by saying my car was adequately repaired and Derek was polite and professional. When I went out to get my car, there was a dent in the rear bumper. It definitely was not there when I left a few hours earlier. I went in to tell them and Derek got another man, I assume the manager, to come out and look at my new dent. The first thing he said was" I don't want to play he said, she said" and a comment about not knowing the condition of my Lexus when I arrived. He just seemed angry and defensive. I explained I was certain there had not been a dent there and I could just notify my insurance. I said I felt I needed to let them know and see if anyone knew what happened. He did not mention the possibility that someone there was responsible. I guess I was surprised by his accusatory, disrespectful way of dealing with the issue. He did say he would have someone there next week who might be able to fix it. We will see what he decides to do, but I certainly can not trust this business. read more

Caught them in a lie called them out on it and they continued to lie some more. That when they choose the immature "what-ever attitude, words and actions. NEVER AGAIN! :( The only reason they received one star is I needed to score it someway and that was the lowest. There was a time, many years ago during the Chuck and Mike era, where I believed they were the best of the best. Now as time has progressed and Chuck left, Mike is not the same helpful, kind individual he used to be. I was in the store yesterday for an oil change on my old truck. I ALWAYS use high mileage oil since the truck has over 200k miles. Well, I received a synthetic oil but not the high mileage even though I specifically told the counter person. Mike was the one that spoke at me (not with me) concerning their findings. I received nothing short of a lecture mimicking what a daughter would hear from a Dad when they were not pleased. While I look much younger than I am, I can assure that I am quite a grown adult who expects common courtesy and respect. Message to Mike, if you believe for one minute that I take your word as gospel without checking it out with my most trusted mechanic before any work in done, you are sorely mistaken. I have found many times that items on the print out had nothing wrong with them at the time. Does this mean Sun Devil has a practice of up-selling when nothing is needed? That would be my guess. I only came there to get a decent oil change at a decent price, not for lectures. Now I find I cannot even get the correct oil change for my truck so I had to go and have a duplicate oil change completed on my truck the same day to get the oil the truck needed. Called about getting a tire plugged and was told there was about a 45 minute wait. Arrived about 10 minutes after I talked to them and my vehicle was taken back right away. Between the phone call and leaving Sun Devil I bet the total time was 45 minutes and no charge. Appreciate the quick service!!! read more

I dropped my vehicle off Saturday morning at 8:30 am for an oil change, tire rotation and check engine light diagnostic. My vehicle was finished at 4:30 pm that same day so 8 hrs later. Now this is understandable since I was the 18th person to drop off that morning and that is not why I only gave 2 out of 5 stars, just making sure people are aware without an appointment you will be waiting a while for your vehicle. The reason for my low review is because when I went to pick up my vehicle the light code on my paper just read "recommend diagnostic" thats it. I get more info from the employees at auto zone when they check my check engine code. I know they cant give me a full diagnostic without additional tests but I mean you cant even give me the code error on the paper so I can use it for future reference. Also very disappointing when I opened up my truck door to notice a giant black grease footprint on my tan carpet. One of the workers literally left an entire black footprint there that would not wash out and I am going to need to try to use stain remover, so whatever money I "saved" on trying to get me a cheaper oil change is now resulting in a loss of a whole day, the money to buy carpet cleaner and the time for me to clean my vehicle and take it somewhere else to read the code again. I used to have very good experiences with Sun Devil Auto in the past, but now the past two visits (both different locations) being bad I do not believe I will be back. read more

These guys always give you the straight story about what's going on with your car. They stand by their work , meaning, if you're not satisfied they will fix it until you are. On two occasions they've gone back several times to fix something that was defective, probably costing themselves significantly in labor charges well above what I paid. I usually have an appointment but if they are really busy, you can drop your car off and their shuttle will take you home. They run on time. They're fast, friendly, and efficient. Took my high mileage car in to SDA on Higley at QC Rd for an AC problem. It turns out it was (only?) a leaking hose. SDA fixed it up and it works fine. They asked me to bring it back in a few hundred miles for them for a check at their expense. I did and it is good. Very impressive. Prices seem quite resonable. read more

Mike and the staff deserve so much more than 5 stars! He towed my vehicle from the dealership, called the manufacturer to replace a damaged part, explained every detail to us, got it done quickly, and offered a car to pick me up to retrieve my vehicle. The dealership wanted to charge us over $3000 for repair but Mike had us out the door for $300 by calling the manufacturer and repairing what was needed. We recently took our Jeep here after having another shop work on it. The other shop didn't seem to do anything correctly & so we found ourselves needing brake lines extended and an all around check up of our suspension completed. Justin took on our vehicle as a sort of personal project. Justin and his team were able to get our programmer hooked up correctly (something the other shop didn't do), replace some needed suspension parts, & extend the brake lines. When we found a leak on the brake line a few days later, Justin and team fixed it and tightened up all the bolts on the rest of the suspension parts (which the other shop didn't do.) Justin was knowledgeable, straight forward and called us with updates when he said he would. Work was completed timely and correctly the first time. If I could give them 0 stars I would. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! Took my husband's car here when it all the sudden would not start. They called us a few hours later letting us know it was some problem with the ignition and needed to replace some parts. Costing around $350. My husband said okay go ahead and make the repairs. Picked up the car that night, paid, every thing seemed good to go. The next morning my husband drove it to work and it over heated half way there. Apparently they did not check the relays when they replaced the ignition, causing them to short out, and the fans to not work, hence overheating the car. My husband was stranded at 5 am for over an hour before he could get a friend to tow him to his work. When we called the shop to let them know what happened they denied it was their doing and said it was a "coincidence." So now we get to take the car to another shop and hope it will not cost an arm and leg for their mistake. Avoid them at all costs!! Worst place I have ever done business with!! read more

I had to choose one star, but I wanted to give them 0. I would never recommend them. I took my 2005 Ford F150 in for an oil change. Their slick, fast-talking sales guy called me and talked me into replacing the spark plugs. They charged me over $600. About a week after I picked it up, the check engine light came on. I assumed it was something to do with the spark plugs, but they said, no, they had to replace a coil. Again, the fast-talking sales guy tried to talk me into replacing all of the coils and much more work and even said I could take out a deferred interest loan to pay for all of the work they recommended, which was over $1,000. I had them only replace the coil for another $200. After spending over $800 with them, the check engine light came on again. I took it to the Ford dealer. Three of the spark plugs weren't even inserted properly! The Ford dealer fixed it for a relatively small charge. However, the dealer told me that the spark plugs Sun Devil Auto used were of an inferior quality and I would have problems down the road. They were plugs that weren't recommended for my Ford F150. I'm just having the Ford deal replace all of the cheap, improperly installed spark plugs that Sun Devil threw in carelessly. The Ford dealer is charging me around $400, much less than the original charge from Sun Devil. Then, to make matters worse, Sun Devil worked on my husband's Kia Soul and messed up that work as well. The Kia dealer had to repair their work. If they recommend other services, be sure to get another opinion. Chances are, they are fast-talking you into something that you really don't need, will overcharge you and then perform inferior work. read more
