Great service, timely, friendly, great battery warranty of 5 years (I'm sure I'll use before 5 years). Appreciate their honesty and quality work. read more

My family and I have been brining our vehicles to Sun Devil Auto for years. No matter how much care you put into your car you are inevitably going to run into some trouble now and then. Anthony, Danny, and Mike have some of the best customer service in the industry and their techs can handle everything from transmission, A/C, leaks, breaks, alignment, struts, crankshafts, and the mystery engine light fails. I have never once hesitated to have work done through Sun Devil. Whether it's a routine oil change or major work I know the job is being done correctly, with quality parts, and within the most competitive pricing. And most importantly, they are honest about what needs to be done. No more leaving the shop questioning if there was a cheaper solution or whether it was even necessary. Thank you Sun Devil for all you do! read more

Awesome service! Eli was able to get me an appointment within the hour and out the door 45 mins later!

I was skeptical after reading reviews and being new to the area but I am impressed I kind of knew what was wrong prior to going in and they repaired it cheaper than I expected. Very friendly and very busy place read more

Very professional, showed me exactly what the problem was on the car, no mystery repairs. Will definitely be using them in the future.

Great service! Eli inform me that my back tires were dangerously worn down due to issues with my shocks. Extremely happy I came here and highly recommend them to anyone! read more

Great customer service! I almost got stranded with a dead battery and they replaced mine within 30 minutes! Highly recommend this place!

They tried to up sell everything. Went in for brakes and rotors and they said I needed new rotors. I asked if they were out of spec and they said no but since I was out of state my car had a lot of damage from the salt. Funny the car has never left the state. $139 job turned into a $364 job. read more

Great experience. Mike explained everything without hidden surprises. I had my brakes done and an oil change. Quick and efficient. Ill definitely go back. read more

Sun devil has good prices and friendly employees. I would make an appointment, if you are in a hurry. It seems to be a very busy place. They also have a free shuttle service. read more

This place is not only super fast and well priced, but they are the most honest auto mechanics you will find.

I've been here a few times. Generally their work was good. The only issue that they can't resolve is my AC blowing hot air when idling for longer than a couple of minutes. However, the biggest gripe I have is that they always have an upsell. I could never go here without a call saying that I should have a few additional services needed or additional parts that need to be replaced. Also, if you decide to go here, always ask for after-market replacement parts (if available). They always recommend OEM parts, which is always much more expensive. read more

I took my car there because it would not start. I was told it was the battery and then given a list of other things that were wrong with my car and potentially cause problems in the near future. I was told that the total for all the repairs would be $2500. I initially told them that I could only approve repairs up to $1000. I was then told that I could post date a check for up to 6 weeks for the remaining $1500. I then approved the rest of the repairs with the confirmation that I could post date a check and explained to them that we do not do credit cards. When I arrived to pick up my car and my total was no longer $2500 it was $2695. I paid the initial $1000 that I agreed to and had a post dated check for the remainder. I was told that they needed to have my post dated check approved thru a 3rd party company. I was never explained this and told them I would have never agreed to the additional amount if they would have explained this. I did not want a 3rd party company to have my personal checking account number! I also never approved any amount over $2500! Montgomery (so called manager) was very rude and basically stated that he would need to listen to the phone conversation to see if I was telling the truth. They had $1000 of my money and would not give me my car and said they had to "figure it out". It is now three days later and still have no car. Montgomery supposedly listened to the phone conversation and called me saying that it sounded like the post dated check procedure was not explained... Well I still don't have a car and they still want over the amount that was agreed upon! This was a very shady way to do business and feel completely taken advantage of. They are basically holding my car hostage. ***update*** Sun devil auto and the management there have come thru. They admitted their faults and made things right. I can appreciate a business that can admit when they are in the wrong and apologize. We will be returning for further service when needed on our vehicles. read more

THE best place to take your vehicle if you want fast & friendly service with an honest group of guys who repeatedly beat their competition on prices. As a woman who comes from a family of guys with years of automotive know- how, mechanics and dealership owners, I can easily say it's hard to find a place that doesn't attempt to overcharge or get you to spend money when you don't need to. (some places will assume you know nothing & will try to sell you blinker fluid) They take the time to explain things in detail & they are down to earth & trustworthy. I don't bother going anywhere else. (Been a customer for 5 years now!) read more

Mike is the best! I will take my car to no other place but this location. He and his staff ensures that he gives us the best service and is honest and sincere. I 150% recommend him and his guys! read more

I have used this location several times for a variety of services (AC work, oil changes, window tints) and the result has been good each time. The staff is friendly and fully explains the work to be done. The pricing is reasonable for the work performed and there have been no surprises. I would highly recommend them. read more

The team extended their kindness and generosity when this mama (with two tired kiddos) found herself in "auto disaster" in the Fry's parking lot today. They sent help within minutes and had our family safely on their way home. I know who we will be calling with our future auto needs--THANK YOU SUN DEVIL AUTO! read more

I have been going to sun devil auto for almost 10 years! They offer a variety of services and it's always a fair price! They take care of their customers! I will continue to bring my car here!! :) read more

As far as mechanics go, I have had mostly bad experiences with ones that are shady and dishonest, but I definitely don't feel this way when I go to Sun Devil Auto on Higley. Mike, the manager, runs a tight ship and makes sure his staff of mechanics are always on top of what needs to be done, and I never get charged for services I don't need. Every time I come in, Mike remembers me and addresses me by name. Great customer service! I will definitely keep going back to Sun Devil on Higley! read more

When I wrote a review for these guys previously, I had recently found some news about my car. I went in to speak to them about my wheels and steering feeling shaky. They gave me an estimate after looking at my car and determining what they said was wrong with it. The estimate was about $1,700 for repairs. I decided to get a second opinion, I was told to change my bushings on the front of my car, it cost me only $60!!!!! not only was it a wayyyy cheaper fix but ALL of the things they stated needed changing were perfectly fine. It's sad when a young female who know's nothing of cars gets taken advantage of when trusting mechanics. Since I spent the $60 in bushings and labor all together, it solved the problem and it's been fine ever since!! Needless to say I am removing my previous 5 star rating review for these guys.. read more

After deleting my original post after being told "you bashed me on the internet" I decided to take it down because I am not a bashing type of person. (I apologize, I did post it angry.) I am not bashing any persons. My review of my experience with this shop (I have been here prior and it was very different) is now 1 star, along with the words NEVER. AGAIN. Update to my comment after the comment by your PR. All 4 converters were taken out and the one you suggested is the one that functioned the best, again no surprise! Thank heavens for good people who have my back and fixed my car correctly. read more

My wife and I have our two vehicles serviced here. Mike is absolutely wonderful, honest and helpful. All of the staff treats us well, the sitting area is comfortable and clean as well. Thanks SDA, we will continue to bring our vehicles to you! read more

Every time I take my car in the shop, Sun Devil Auto is the only place I'll take it. Mike and the crew are so nice and get your car done right the first time. There is no other place I would bring my car!!!!!!! Thanks Mike for the great service. read more

Great service and knowledgeable staff. I was nervous to get my truck checked out but they eased me through the process

Amazing team - worked in an unscheduled oil change, fixed a loose hose on my radiator, found a nail in my tire and all done in 2 hours. Total $25. Wow! read more

Brought a part to rebuilt couldn't complete even lost some parts, seems like a walmart shop wouldn't even do oil change here

I took the advice of the poster who said, "Women stop here.." and was glad I did. I made an appointment for an oil change and was in and out within an hour . I was given advice but not pressured to buy anything - in fact they recommended a tire supplier and told me of issues that are common to my new environment. I will return for sure and you should go for any car issue. Honest people. read more

We started taking our cars here a few years ago, and now don't take them anywhere else! They do a great job fixing whatever we need in a timely manner, they are refreshingly honest, and provide great customer service. I highly recommend them! read more

I really don't know where to start!!! First of all hands down the best customer service I have ever experienced at an auto shop or anywhere for that matter. Chuck Fisher runs the auto shop and I had the pleasure of working with him. He made sure to give me accurate pricing, kept me well informed on my repairs, and he and the awesome mechanics there saved my family from a potentially life threatening dangerous situation with an issue on our car!!! The quality of work was great they take no short cuts...and they were very fast. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you to Chuck, your staff at the front desk, and mechanics for making my experience positive, fixing the things I came in for,and being honest with our family. I will NEVER go anywhere else for my cars. read more

Worst service of all time! I have never sent in a bad review for any company, but the way this shop treats customers is ridiculous. Mike with Sun Devil Auto is a condescending, rude, belittling jerk. In the end they caused more issues with the vehicle and did not want to take blame. read more

30 years in az. Been doing business with sun devil for years. Always been satisfied with the work and pricing. Have been going to the one on higley for a couple of years. The personal at the front desk are exceptional. Always polite and informative above all else they are honest which is very hard to find in that industry. Will always go back bit.ly/sda28y read more

I needed to check if my battery was working ok. After calling two different locations (one charging $55 and the other charging over $100), I called Sun Devil on Higley and Chandler Hts and both Anthony who answered the phone and Jacob who helped me when I came in were both veg nice to deal with and very professional. There was NO Charge to have my battery tested and I was on my way in less than 5 minutes. I'm really impressed with their service. read more

Great service and the employees were very welcoming and nice. Free tire rotation and they check all fluids and everything else. Price is very reasonable, plus Yelp provided me with a $5 discount which is a plus :) read more

Sun Devil has great customer service and is honest in the work they do! I went for the first time today and they diagnosed the problem and got it fixed for me and explained everything thoroughly. Definitely will be coming back for any work my car may need in the future. read more

Big fat 5 stars! We took our SUV there for a 2nd opinion and turns out we did not need the work done. They put the car on the bridge, examined it and put all that time in there. Then they called us back and said we did not need the break and rotor job the other place told us we needed. We are so appreciative of of their honesty and we would recommend this place to anyone needing any type of auto work done. We love these guys. read more

Visited this SDA for about the third or fourth time. Only for oil changes. I was told on the phone yesterday that if I came in early, they would easily get my truck done. I showed up this morning at 9:14 a.m. They said they were pretty busy but could easily get my oil change done if I left it for a "few hours". I stated I didnt want it to turn into all day, and they said no way. I was told I was #5 in the oil change wait. They finally called at 3:30 p.m. stating truck was ready. I said I needed shuttle to come pick me back up. At 4 p.m. I called again as no shuttle (they are just over two miles away). At 4:15 the shuttle shows up. I paid telling them I would not be back. They did exactly what I couldnt do because of other commitments....took all day. SEVEN hours for an oil change, nothing else!! Then they tried to upsell me telling me I needed new spark plugs, a coolant flush and new brake pads. I JUST did the plugs about a month ago myself....and I did a coolant flush less than a year ago! They lost me as a loyal customer. Why is it impossible to find and honest, reliable and competent shop anymore? read more

Thanks to Mike and team at Sun Devil Auto. I brought in my Ford Explorer and they took care of me with a great price and great service. It is never fun needing to get your car repaired, but when I do, I will be going back to Sun Devil Auto. read more

I'm sure they are good, but unless you have all day for an oil change don't go here. Set up an appointment and was told they won't have time when I arrived. Probably worth the drive to somewhere that actually has a scheduling process and not a free for all. read more

The issue for myself was a steering gear that sprung a nasty leak. I had this shop replace the steering gear for me and the leak was fixed as the unit was a fresh rebuild unit from a parts company, but the new unit had some "play" or slop that only really became a problem at highway speed and more of an issue while towing.... So I returned and they replaced it free of charge. But It wasn't really perfect and I wasn't real happy. After a drive they agreed and replaced again! now it's perfect. I understand that sometimes with parts there maybe a fluke, a bad part, or defect. No biggie. What I was struck by was the SUPIRIOR customer service in the way sun devil at Chandler heights and Higley handled my situation. They worked with my schedule, never gave me any argument or attitude and stood by their work. Kudos to Mike and his crew. read more
